Even N5 is like an insult to d elephant. If u follow FBNH stock trend it has a strong price resistance btw d range of 7.90 and. 7.99. Am nt saying it can't go lower but dis stock is so undervalued.

Stay away from FBNH for now.Institutional investors only get in on stocks that give them at least a 5% dividend return. They are currently dumping their FBNH shares. The current dividend of FBNH at 10kobo only makes the viable price they will invest to be N2.00. Until the stock hits N2.00 or the company releases higher dividend, FBNH IS A NO NO. Him that has ears to hear, let him hear. smiley

Bros, please can you help me to cross check how much ETI paid in dividend in the current year and then tell me the price. smiley healthy balance sheet play significant role in the pricing of the stock not only the dividend payout

There is no need, you need to buy more as its going down to reduce the cost price per unit.................I have bought at every range from 6.82 to 5 as at today...............You can't sell right now but you should buy more except if you don't have cash, then you will have to wait for bulls to return..........5.42 is not a bad entry price..................

Thank you, bro. You are mouthed.
You've said well. Not advisable to sell now, but instead make purchases in batches.
Kudos to your experience!

It is not that serious. Anyone with good intentions of transacting business in dollars should go through the CBN official rate. I can confirm to you that i bought dollars at the rate of 198.45(naira) each from a bank. Since the purpose is best for our business community, nothing will stop the bank from selling it at official rate. Let's stop deceiving ourselves by looking at this parallel market. If foreign investors are coming to do legitimate business in Nigeria, i believe CBN will welcome them with open hand with reference to our official exchange rate. It is high time we stop them from taken advantage of our situations... grin

Bros u dey deceive yaself, u think this is sustainable? a 25% gap between official and parallel? A very big incentive for round-tripping. Luckily I have 30% of my portfolio in dollars. Make I still hold on

If you have a legitimate business (that is not restricted by CBN) that u want to use dollars for, email me and i will direct you to the right channel. For your information, the bank don't sell dollars to fund your domiciliary account, you have to sort that out yourself... grin

My brother, it is serious because banks hardly, if ever, sell at the so- called official rate to the ordinary Nigerian. I do import stuffs from China. Telling us where we can get it cheaper when we need as you did will be good and appreciated.

I have said it severally that all banking stock follow themselves in ranking other. Have you noticed that since access bank started dropping from N6 down to N5.4, UBA had to give respect and also drop from N5 to N4.2? That is how the banks operate for now.

Zenith Q1 result and dividend payout was better than Guaranty's own yet it still couldn't catch up to GTB.

Unless UBA will release an extraordinary result that even the likes of GTB will tremble, it will still play second fiddle to access in terms of price.

Well said Oga Born2beRich; most times all the information we need from companies are inherent in their stock prices but most investors allow confirmation bias to get the best part of them.

Banks stock prices are reflecting what kind of results we should expect. subpar results looks like what most banks will release to the market in the next Couple of weeks. Stanbic has showed us the trend already. The bank's Loan loss expense increased by 449.3% YoY to N7.9 billion from N1.4 billion in H1 2014 thus resulting in a 40% decline in its PAT. Anyone expecting any fantastic results from the banks will have some rude awakening.

N/B: I have FCMB in my portfolio and I have no intention to sell. Will buy more at N2. If zenith bank meets me at the N17 junction, I will buy too.

The fact is that the market is in a rough path right now, Buhari is already considering removing the whole oil subsidy regime, what good will stating that a dollar will sell for #500 do for the market right now? Will that make Buhari reconsider his stance on removing the subsidy? Maybe. But I'd rather he'd just keep shut than come out to say all of that at this time when we do not have a defined direction for the economy. Maybe I'm just been selfish ,you cant blame me tho; I have millions in the the stock market and the quicker the market recovers the better- and alterations like those aren't going to help.

My brother, you just are.
Better we swallow the bitter pill now than bury our faces in the sand and end up like Greece or worse.
