I see the good intent of this thread and I'm interested. I hope to learn from so many gifted and spiritually mature christians.
I notice the thread is growing very fast (in number of posts) and although it's not bad, the speed is overwhelming.

Happy are all who perfectly follow the laws of God. Happy are all who search for God and always do His will, rejecting compromise with evil, and walking only in His paths. You have given us Your laws to obey - oh how I want to follow them consistently. How can a young man stay pure? By reading Your Word and following its rules. I have thought much about Your words, and stored them in my heart so that they would hold of back from sin. Blessed Lord, teach of Your rules. Keep me far from every wrong; help me, undeserving as I am, to obey Your laws, for I have chosen to do right. Just tell me what to do and I will do it, Lord. As long as I live I'll wholeheartedly obey. Make me walk along the right paths for I know how delightful they really are.

Graduated 2012 from secondary school.......had my O'level once(took a prayer to God to get that done...and after it was done I continued with my sinful life; cos have not been found by then)..........wrote JAMB and Post JAMB 2013 passed.....yet not given admission (Glad I wasn't... cos it will be devastating)

Christ found me you know cos am the one lost....but He thought me a lot of things....like all I know Christ taught me...You know God told me to overcome challenges I had to put him first in all things and attach no importance to non spiritual things(Glad he gave me the grace to obey; cos I faced war from my parent cos of my Faith in Christ.....you know.....they had curse me and do things to get me angry and offended.....call me bastard and all that......threatened to Stop sponsoring my education not knowing I have giving God the first place and education or no education I had survived; I learnt What patience is through this storm )

Currently working for a Prof as a Library Attendant......students things you know..... pursuing my education though....Waiting for OAU to release their postutme.... cos I put in for Biochemistry.... actually I put in for Medicine but I thank God I didn't score high like I expected..... as that will give me a chance to produce my album once am in school..

I should have told you God give me the gift of worship... changed my voice too... given me more than 150 songs of praise.... you know like Don moen.... and inspirations to write too... like four books now he has given me insight to write on and am Even yet to start... they are "Understanding His Deeds And Miracles", "In Defense of The Truth", "The Ancient Path" and "The Testimonies"

But when I see you I believe you are a blessing to me.....cos I must tell you the Truth I don't know which one to start with...

You know, I was touched reading this. Our beliefs and differences shouldn't be allowed to come between us at all. Thank God for aunt HFOG who was able to change the atmosphere. This is actually one of the reasons we're here. To encourage one another, and pray for another too.

God gave you a gift of worship and some other things. Hmm, that's just really awesome.

Although it's impossible to take back my words which might have been harsh like HFOG pointed out, I apologise. We should start again on a clean slate. cheesy

For me, today's service was great. My responsibilities in church today were so much. I got exhausted at the end but then I remembered God's words in 1 Cor 12:9 'My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness'.

I doubt that the responsibilities would reduce. In fact, I just dey start, lol. But thank God for grace. What can we do without His grace?

I said us because I noticed that even though its quiet in here, we get a lot of views. God bless us!

Its often said misery loves company.

Yes. It feels good when you feel you're not alone in your current position. And seeing someone higher than you are may bring feelings of jealousy. Its our human nature to want to always be first, best.
But by new birth, we drop that nature. We become Christ-like and should drop every feeling of envy. Sure they'll come. As long as we are in this world, the devil puts thoughts into our mind. But thoughts that don't become words or actions die unborn.

Jealousy, envy and mentally comparing ourselves and pur circumstances with others is a wilderness mentality. Prov.14:30. Its unhealthy. Never compare and compete!

First off, the Sir is actually in approipriate by me.

My siggy, thanks. Saw in on a calender and just loved it cause I had a believe before then to always be quiet. It changed my perspective in that aspects and so I decided to share through my signature.

Actually, I have nothing to share for now but thanks for being interested. I might try to say something another time.

I find it a blessing and a thing of joy to share with you reading this what has been and will continue to be a pleasing sacrifice to God as long as this earth remains. This is from my spiritual treasure and blessing and am glad to share it with you so you too can add it to your treasure.

Pleasing God I believe is the goal of a Christain life. Yes indeed we please God by Faith but somewhere somehow the Scripture speak of "Work of Faith". And this work of Faith is done as a result of regeneration in the Spirit. One thing every Christain irrespective of denominations and fellowship agrees on is that God love Sacrifice. And this article is written to open to you different types of Sacrifice you can render to God.


1. LIVING SACRIFICE: Nothing is more pleasing to God than saying, Lord,My Body is yours.When you give to God your body and present it a Living Sacrifice to God He descends and make your body his home. Just like he descended on the temple Solomon built and filled it with his Glory so also will he descends and fills you with his Glory. And what greater thing is there than carrying the Glory of God wherever you go? Offering your body to God for a full? is one of the Sacrifice you can make to God.Christ made it and by it redeem mankind from death.Offer to God a Living Sacrifice.

2. SACRIFICE OF PRAISE: You don't have to be a song writer like me or a Singer like Don Moen my mentor before you can offer to God a Sacrifice of praise neither do you have to join the choir before you can offer this Sacrifice. For praise is not only singing and dancing but the fruits of lips that acknowledge Christ name Heb 13:15. Say words that reveal Christ redeeming work...sing songs that makes him glorified. You can listen to True worshippers of God too....I can recommend Ron Kenolly,Don Moen,Paul Balouche and Micheal Smith. Offer to God a Sacrifice of praise.

3. MONETARY SACRIFICE: Giving to the needy financially is a pleasing sacrifice to God.Let me explain it clearly: When you give to someone in need cheerfully without constraint you are giving to God directly. Remember the parables of the sheep and goat? Offer monetary Sacrifice to God by giving it to the needy directly.

4. TIME SACRIFICE: Spending time on things of God and in his presence is pleasing to God.Learn to offer to God a Time Sacrifice. Attend weekly activities and fellowship with the brethens.

5. LOVE SACRIFICE: On weekends while you are less busy try and check on the sick in hospital. Find time to spend an hour with that new member in your fellowship. Tell that brother in your fellowship you want to learn the piano from him.Join the evangelist to distribute tracts on weekends or better provide them with cold water before they go out.You can prepare a lunch for them when they return. These are Love Sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.

Like a mighty wind rushing through
It's the sound of praise from the Holy Angels

Offer to God today a Sacrifice.

I am pursuing a career in the military and to be honest its not a good time to join but all the same I call it a privilege cause its not always you have the opportunity to lay down your life to protect others even though most of them don't appreciate it. its always worthwhile.

About the Sir stuff, I actually don't like public show of respect, it kinds of take the essence away and breeds eye service.
