Madam Crich, How far?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by soji0509: 1:39pm On Jul 22, 2015
LOE = Letter Of Explanation in the context used by the OP. But it could also mean Letter Of Employment in some other context

What's LOE?

Thanks for your response.I actually thought of this too. we are considering dalhousie.his cgpa is 4.11 but has an education gap of bout 8 years or more which I feel is the reason we have not been able to get him a school for masters (just my opinion o).since he finished school, he has been working. He applied to different schools and dìdnt get an offer so we tried the colleges.

I have 7 years gap in education and my cgpa is lower than his but I still got direct admission into a Masters programme in a reputable university. Once you are sure of the Masters program he wants to apply for, find 3 or 4 schools in 3 or 4 diff provinces which offer that program. Before you apply to the schools, email the graduate admissions secretary, giving a summary of his credentials, and ask what chances he has of being admitted. These people are sincere enough to tell you whether you stand a chance or not. If you just apply without emailing speaking with an admissions staff first, you are just playing NairaBet with you application money.

Once you guys make up your minds on which masters programme, lemme know so I can join in the search for universities that might me willing to offer admission.

What's LOE?

When you have too many information it could be confusing most times. It's illogical for your hubbie to also come down there without your boy. VO will definitely consider your boy at this stage so its either you come back home and take care of your boy while your hubbie also go pursue his Canadian education or he (your hubbie) include the poor boy in whatever plan he's got as regards TRV.

I have strong faith that by the Spirit of the risen CHRIST his next try will end in praise. So let oga come with your son. Abi u neva mis am ni? If you have then tell the VO how much you've missed your family and also why it's better they come over instead of you coming. You have concluded your studies which didnt come cheap and PGWP is needed for you to get a first hand experience which is also part of the education so you cant come home now until the end of your PGWP.

Infact, all the previous docs submitted will be good. Just include a strong, humble, and pathetic letter each.

what if in the middle east. I work in the middle east with resident permit. Can I apply from middle east or I have to go to Nigeria cos I also run a bank account in Nigeria. please advice

I know security clearance for most of the countries in the Middle East (I think there are sone exemptions though) takes a while as such, that might apply to anyone applying from there. Try to get more information from their website.

Amen o.thanks for the suggestion. The thing is i am already in canada and just finished my program. About applying for my post grad work permit. I think we should have done this earlier while i was a student. so any more options to be considered would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible you include him in your PGWP application?

The same way you're seeing it that way..
A GcMS would elaborate more on this....

Now I see why dey only ticked purpose of visit.....hmmmmmm!
Applying for SOWP is a more sincer approach.

I do not agree with your last sentence. He could have the intention of going to study and only needed his wife to graduate before he starts considering their finances. I would suggest she includes him in her PGWP and that should make things faster for him.

Please can you provide any links if you have or where i can read more on express entry.when they started it, I knew there was something about having a valid job offer in canada. Also, couldn't our son have been a strong tie and enough evidence that he doesn't plan on migrating?

Go talk to your International Student Services. They should have a desk for migration. The officer should be able to give you the information you need.

1. You wait till you get your PGWP then you invite them over. You have a strong reasons in your 4yr old son and also your Union. They do not support distance relationship either and you let them know that the future of your son being raised by a single parent all along is at risk.
2. Let him refire explaining to the VO his intention which is not only to study but to reunite with you, both himself and your son have greatly missed your motherly role and wifey role respectively. Tho acknowledging the fact that your study will forever be a boost to the family status.
As a woman you will have to write a letter to back this up by going as far as humbly telling the VO that in pursuit of success, a lot have to be sacrificed, your family, your marital role and most importantly SEX. This could sound funny but you need to let the VO feel sober and pity your condition. If possible tell the VO you sometimes need to go as far as sharing between each other via Skype ur nudity which still can not replace couples been together. Hope am not sounding too ....am sorry but canada is worth it provided you have even spent some tuition money there which must have help their economy in its little way.

I consider number 2 suggestion there as VERY HIGH RISK! When you were applying for TRV, you "promised" the VO that you would come back to Nigeria after your studies. Number 2 there is in complete contravention of that promise. Moreover, if your hubby is really "MISSING" you, then he doesn't need a study Visa to come meet you to quench his matrimonial fire. That can be achieved by a regular visiting/tourist visa. I'm not saying he shouldn't give his study visa application another try, i'm just saying you might be better off not including any mushy-mushy reasons when writing a letter in support of his application.

Let's hope the more experienced ogas (@justwise, @siga, @fhemmy, @chrigo e.t.c.) can you shed more light on suggestion 1 above? Does PGWP give one legal grounds to invite family over on a permanent basis?

Thanks bro.well noted.Haha who wouldn't miss him?Infact he is the major reason why I am doing all this o.I didnt want to bring him because of school.I relaxed when i discovered cost of creche is bout 1200 to 1700 dollars monthly and he was just 2 then.Thats like a term fee in Nigeria.
I had planned on applying for him from here once his dad got his visa and you know it is easier for children once the parents are here.Plans will just have to change now

Yeah, I was actually referring to the fact that her hubbie should have applied for OWP with my points as a backup reasons. Was only trying to make her know they stand better chance via TRV, OWP than another study.
