If ministers don't award contracts, who does? Does Buhari intend to sign all federal contracts by himself or what? Is he this stupid?

You can continue to wail for all we care. If signing it himself will rid Nigeria of corruption, then it is a gigantic move well applauded.
Having said that, it is obvious that he won't be signing contracts by himself. Buhari will announce a smooth and transparent way for contracts to get signed.

Ogbeni Buhari should appoint minister. Are we running a monarchy govt? That's why someone called him a wankster yesterday.

If you don't see the good intentions in Buhari's move, then you must be a joke.

Wailing wailers/The mumu above me/Tanoids be like 'Buhari wants to profit from awarding contract by doing it himself'. If you are one of those with thoughts like that, always remember that thunder will continue to fire you left, right and centre.

But really, what if he has that intention? Will the thunder strike your balls to pieces?

Apparently he actually has some things here that agree with this level of stupidity.
seems they think Nigeria is a mei shai kiosk where frying egg and bread while making tea is done by one person.

Then we begin to wonder why people say Nigerian graduates are unemployable...

In his words, ‘I have already acted to remove political control over
awarding of contracts away from ministers, who use them to get
political favours and kickbacks

‘I will introduce a new system of plea bargain, that will allow those
who have stolen assets and funds to return them – but if they do not
take that opportunity we will pursue them through the courts.’

‘My government is already taking several steps to cut out the cancer
of corruption that has been eating away at the state for so long.

What is dis mumu saying
You surely have a badly-concocted brain if you cannot see through the light linen of transparency that the president is taking gigantic steps to curb excesses of ministers; excesses that we witnessed under gej and no one was able to stem the mismanagement and corruption. I won't blame people like you. I repeat, you will only continue to wail and wail while this administration sees through its tenure. Deal with it. Stop hating. Stop being a wailing wailer.

to be honest, this is the first time I will quote anybody shouting wailing wailers. It is irritating. It makes you appear clueless. Please be creative. You can defend buhari but not by shouting wailing wailers in every thread. No single man can be perfect. If buhari can't trust the ministers he is yet to appoint then it means he has personality problem. He can't curb excesses by stopping ministers from awarding contracts. Who will eventually monitor the contract? You make more money monitoring contract execution than awarding it. Contract money are paid in instalments based on recommendations of the monitors. The monitors can make life difficult for the contractor if they don't settle them cos without their recommendations no further money will be paid. All these talk talk from this administration is at best primitive. And to worsen the situation, the supporters keep shouting wailing wailers instead of constructive criticism. Very irritating

Will again , to add to the growing list of the " I will, I shall, we will , and will"

With the way he tours the world like winning the election came with a prize winning of touring the world , na im b say civil servants go constantly dey months waiting to get paid and contractors will wait further to be paid for their jobs

Unfortunately, it can't be helped until you stop throwing hate words out there at every step our well-meaning president takes to better the mess created by your mentor. Don't blame me for using the phrase 'wailing wailer'. We will continue to use it and it will continue to bite and pain you from head to toe until you also desist from making baseless and senseless remarks about the president.

It will likely going to make ministerial Job less attractive so that they would have no choice than do jobs that benefit the masses as a whole. Good One PMB
