The looters of NNPC are SS/SE people in last administration. So he picked a Deltan Igbo and gave him mandate to go after his own people using the authority of EFCC to do so. The Minister is not going to be a SS/SE and cannot therefore be accused of witch hunting when Madueke, Offor and the accomplises are rounded up in black maria. All eyez will be on Kechikwu because his performance as GMD is tied to recovery of loot, prosecution of looters and expansion of oil resource and production for the benefit of all Nigerians.

You cannot accuse Yoruba and Hausa of stealing your oil....your own son will now make sure that it is owned nationally.

If you don't know, majority of the people in NNPC are northerners. So they are the ones here at a loss.

Buhari is just complicating life for this man, since he has all the names and accounts of
the oil thieves what stops him from acting on it.

Is he afraid of the names on that list ?

Instead he gave the NNPC DG the work of SSS and EFCC so that at the end of the day
if no stealing case is established he can simply blame the man for sabotage and then
fire him to save face.

Running refineries is the ABC of Chemical Engineering and we have 100's of them well qualified and trained. Including those Nigeria sent abroad to get the degrees.

I agree that we need a infinitesimal % of expatriates to help fun the system. The basic difference between us and them is their work ethics

lol, the way my able president was going abt the recovery stuff i though he was going to do it himself o, but now he has put the responsibility on the GMD. anyways all the best Nigeria will move forward. i pray the new GMD works cos this corrupt system has a way of corrupting genuine pple.

In terms of going after stolen loot Buhari must work hand in hand with Kachikwu since Buhari already has the list given to him by sources from within and outside the country rather than leave this enormous task to the GMD alone, cos it might look as if Buhari doesn't want to go after certain persons.

Restructuring the system means getting rid of all corrupt elements and incompetent pple in NNPC, we all know that NNPC is 80% staffed by northerners even the crude oil marketing division, so all these pple will need to be fired. If Buhari makes him Minister of State then that will even be better as the incompetence and corruption cleansing will cover all subsidiaries under NNPC and agencies under the Ministry of Petroleum cos trust me everywhere there reeks of corruption and it's done so blantantly in total disregard for procedure and law.

Pls lets all pray for the new GMD and throw our support behind him because trust me he will need it. His most difficult task will be to ensure that he hires competent and clean hands that will help him meet the targets Buhari has given him that in itself is a huge task cos as we all know some peeps might be clean when first appointed but once they see d amount of money they can make , it becomes another story.

I thought these are the Jobs Buhari wanted to do himself why is he pushing it on the new NNPC Boss.
Rather the guys job should simply be to reform NNPC and improve Nigerian oil Industry. Those items are non productive he will waste
a whole lot of time chasing shadows while ingnoring way forward and innovative ideas.

Imagine telling him to look for all stolen funds...........Rubbish! Is the new NNPC an NNPC staff or was he there when those funds where stolen
This was a job Buhari assigned to himself .......so let him do it himself.
