All systems having energy would loss that energy in different forms...forms which are also useful to other things until the energy is latent... E.g A car would loss chemical energy to heat energy according to the amount used...so the system of energy never completely dies but becomes less useful to do work/power...nor gains any new energy spontaneously...it's much more in detail in the physics aspect..but I'm no physicist..
