At that time it disadvantaged the northern and western region....Both regions we're the revenue generators of Nigeria at that time...Google can cure your ignorance |

I have repeatedly said this, I love Nigeria and Nigerians ( Igbo inclusive) to death......but if for what ever reason we have to divide it won't make sense ECONOMICALLY to divide with the five eastern states. Thank you |

podosci:How did it disadvantage the northern and western region? What happened to the revenue? Did the ground stop germinating agricultural product? Your greedy leaders (you can find out where they are from) saw "oyel" as a better and greater exploitation. Which it is actually. Who are those that lead and still leading your damn country till date including GEJ.All recycles! All thieves and criminals!! Daily killings of humans like chicken. You must be foolish to think you are safe. Continue to battle against BIAFRA because only baboons and monkeys do. IPOB Youth |

It was stupidity of the northern region that made them abandoned their Agricultural activities and become solely dependence on oil revenues from the SS, but if we are able to decentraliz the control of Nigerian resources and let every region explore it's own resources, at the end pay taxes to the Federal....then Nigeria would be truly great again and me and my brothers in the SS region would be gain to enjoy economic development as long as we kill corruption plaguing us |

podosci:^^^Your idiocy gets worse by the minute! Oyel was discovered in commercial quantity in Oloibiri in 1956....a good decade before the 1966 coup! https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCEQFjAAahUKEwjGqb3VqZXHAhXEfHIKHQZ9Dsg&url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FOloibiri&ei=fMfDVcb7LcT5yQOG-rnADA&usg=AFQjCNF6i_gDmVgdgD7u60cdpjcfOT3pMg You want to tell me nobody knew of the black-gold that lay beneath the soil and waters of the Eastern Region at the time, yet less than a year after Ironsi was murdered in cold blood Gowon and his sidekick Awo knew exactly where and where the black-gold lay in the Eastern Region to be able to surgically slice out the 'juicy' parts and place in Rivers state!? Just take a look at the active oil wells/fields in the area today and you can almost trace the boundary between Rivers and Abia/Imo just by looking at the cluster of wells/fields on the map! And you want to sit there and posit that Ironsi enacted the unification decree to marginalize the Northern and Western Regions? You're a pathetic liar! |
| Re: Warning To Our Igbo Brothers In Asaba, Anioma, Ogwashi Ukwu Nd Others… Beware! by podosci(m): 10:00pm On Aug 06, 2015 |
When did Nigeria start producing oil in commercial quantity? You have answered when we discovered the oil, now find out when we start producing in commercial quantity..... And I didn't say Ironsi marginalized anybody, I said he started the process that led to the marginalization of others by centralizing the govt. |

noah91:That is what I keep saying. These Igbos are so (the way they are) they don't even know how to secced. They don't need guns to secceed. The truth is we are not the ones holding them back in Nigeria. They are the ones holding themselves. Why don't we help them by educating them on the best way to secceed. We will all breath a sigh of relief when they are gone. At least I will. ~ South south |

[s] IGBOSON1:[/s] The willful embrace of self-delusion that earns you further disrespect from people you clearly need but whose aid, sympathy and support you ill-advisedly want to gain by disrespecting them. Perhaps, in your culture, the more you disrespect others the further you get into their graces So Brass, ogoni, Bonny, eket etc are at the boundaries of IMO and abia eh? The more I hear Igbos talk, the more I know they are and will remain the most minor tribe in terms of integrity for a very long time |

Observant:All of this long talk of marginalization because Jonathan lost an election after performing woefully and encouraging wanton impunity and corruption. Hold your leaders( governors, house of reps members, senators, house of assembly members, traditional rulers etc) for the non-development of your region. Imagine a small state like Bayelsa with barely 9 LGs receiving such huge allocation and no reasonable development. You'd prefer to hold the Yoruba or Hausa man responsible for that instead. |

TopGee:All this talk of we're the best tribe is just sheer stupidity. There are industrious and lazy people in every tribe. Or are u proud of the news coming out of Asia almost monthly about some of your brothers being killed cos of drugs importation. Same way I'm not proud of news of some of my brothers involved in internet scam or ritual killings. Now you're talking of mentioning notable people in other tribes. I give to u that for any notable Igbo in any field, I'll give u a notable Yoruba also. So what's your point? |

WE ARE FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT AND WE SHALL REMAIN SO. NOTHING SHALL EVER MAKE US REMAIN ONE. BIAFRA MUST STANDThe absurdity and the lack of moral judgement is why an Igbo man is canvasing for support for the Biafran movements and insulting Yoruba, Hausa, Igala, Tiv , Fulani, Idoma etc people on a website created for lovers of Nigeria and her citizens by an "ewedu eater" Any self respecting Igbo man would never do such. I'm sure the enterprising Igbo should have a viable forum to discuss intrinsic political, social issues and associate by now. The Igbo deserve Biafra , if that is what they want , a referendum is required so we know which communities want to join, rather than drawing an imaginary line like the British did |

Sheggy13:Frankly the Igbo seem to have an inferiority complex. They feel like they have a war with the Yoruba, like there is an active competition ongoing, they may have to update the Yoruba because we are oblivious to it, it is just recently the constant rambling and ranting has gotten to a peak ; as uncomfortable as the gobbledygook that is a bee's buzzing in ones ears, it's just goes on and you either have to please the bee or kill it for that drivel to stop. I propose a Biafra referendum , let these people go, they may never let off on their inferiority complex and would forever compete with the Nigerian organisation, but their luney arguments would be made redundant and their success or failure would be lesson on how to birth a nation. |

melzabull:It is good to keep pretending. Blame the north. Delta state has never been part of the 'igbo' region, and even onitsha people are not considered core igbo. But I guess in your desperation to make allies you are willing to overlook this until your objective is reached. I know many from anioma area and this your fantasy is not even considered a serious topic among them. Igbo will celebrate their fractious 'republican' spirit, but claim unity across all speakers of a similar language to advance the selfish aims of a few! We are not fooled. The same bitter ethnic prejudice that spills out into the public domain from that area, is only evidence of what lies within. |
