What kind of wood is best used for roofing.
I want to roof my multi dwell apartment as some point in time, I don't know much about the various types of roofing materials out there, which one is the best aluminium one, which one is the best tile one. The property is for commercial purposes, but it doesn't mean I want to put cheap low quality stuff there, I prefer to spend the money now and put something good that will last for 50 years etc.

Which make should I be looking at.

different wood for different locations. .....if I may ask is it in South West?

Hard wood is preferably good and the tricks u should be more vigilant in identifying woods because most of wood supplier can be cunny most time mixing different woods after few years u start having problem with the roof either the Aluminium removes from the wood and any small breeze that blows na noise u go dey hear from the roof, be on ground when u are getting the wood and let your carpenter be more honest with u, make a friendly dialogue with him, create more time with him. for the Aluminium there is thickness difference 0.45mm is lesser than the 0.55mm Longspan Aluminium and tower cost a bit higher than the Longspan, you can use Aluminium since its for commercial use, u can get more from experts here cos I can't know it all as well. Nb: your quotations will be given by the total square metre. Good luck
