David Oyelowo doesn't even have any ounce of James Bond in him. He's a sweet guy and I don't even think he has the sex appeal required to pull it off. Big Driis is definitely the most suitable for that role - and he displayed that in Luther. Coupled with the fact that he has that sex appeal the James Bond character is known for. As for the way he speaks - that's still a mystery to me. Accept he was raised in the East End, but that excessively strong cockney accent he speaks is just not it and I honestly don't know where he picked it from. Perhaps it is because he lived in the US for a long time and lost bits of his normal accent. Then out of nowhere decided cockney is the best way to go, when it would've been easier for him to just start speaking normal. Heck, he sounds like a road-man when he raps - and that shows he should be able to speak proper English. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was raised in Essex, yet there's absolutely nothing cockney in his accent - Big Driis needs to allow it. David Oyelowo was born in Oxford and he's from a middle-class family - I guess that's why he speaks the way he does.

That's a white British hero - especially for the nationalists. Why not leave them alone and let them enjoy what they have all grown to idolise as a symbol of British foreign intelligence? I think David Oyelowo is a director as well (not too sure but I think so). And the UK has a few shining black directors like Steve McQueen who directed "12 Years a Slave".

Nollywood is like those ghetto black movies with utter terrible acting and scripts, and no creativity. The industry needs a complete overhaul if at all it wants to attract big names. It's possible, but the way it's right now, no Z-list actor would even want to associate with the industry. Even if they were to break the bank to get them to - it still won't entice folks cos it won't boost the normal credits you get for being in a decent movie.

I like Idris Elba a lot as well and most black youths in the UK can relate to Idris Elba better than any other black British actor. But I'm not feeling the cockney thing - it cracks me up all time. When I'm with my dargs, we just we just laugh whenever we see him in interviews. That's his East End accent for the TV and interviews - I'm darn sure he doesn't speak like that in person. And nah, they don't speak cockney in Hackney - cockney is more of an Essex thing. I don't even think he really lived in Hackney, he's more of an East Ham, Canning Town, and Barking guy - and they don't even do the cockney thing too tough the way he does.
