Seriously we need to end all One piece talks on this thread.

I love One Piece.
Got into Naruto early and followed it up while loving every bit of it for years, all the while having no idea One piece existed. 3 years ago, a friend recommended and shared One piece with me, having an open mind I delved into it, and got hooked. I kept looking forward to my nights of just laying back,eating supper and binge watching OP while in class having a lecture ( even the earliest episodes from Don Krieg to Along and the cr*ppy art was a cool enough). With promises of getting better, I didn't rush and skip, I just enjoyed an episode at a time.

And One piece became my No1 anime, there's just something about it I can't identify that makes it so special, and why its super loved. Ask any True OP fan, they can't really say why they love it ( its not just the story, there are many awesome animes with beautiful stories/plot).

After catching up to OP I watched and read H×H up to date,

One Piece still takes up my whole heart, i still dig Naruto, but will chose OP over it anytime. One Piece has its flaws (lots of it) but its flaws makes it perfect. And if you're complaining about the Nakama ish, you haven't watched fairytail.

The companionship thingy in One Piece is natural, take a squad or platoon in a real life army, every member trains together, fight together, bleed together and face death together, its only natural that a strong bond will form amongst them. They will lookout for one another, protect one another and possibly take a bullet for one another. when all is hopeless, they retreat ( Sabaody Archipelago, Luffy gave the order for the SH to flee, when fighting a losing battle against Kizaru and Kuma).
The same bond applies with SH crew, they're practically family , and families believes and protect one another.

Everyone should ask themselves this, 'When one of your family member is threatened, kidnapped or hurt by someone else, won't you fight for that family member, protect him/her and go to the ends of the earth to rescue em at any cost

When Luffy figures out that his defeat will mean the death of the SH, drained of strength and energy he picks himself up and fights on with willpower alone ( same principle with mothers having their limiters removed and having herculean strength to lift off or stop a car that may hit or crush their babies that wandered onto a road).

To end this post, let's all just have a roster..
Y'all should post if you like/hate/indifferent to One piece.
this way, in the future we'll know who to direct our post concerning OP to

Why do u assume that hxh should be ur number one? And how does the faults of one piece make it perfect? Also for an anime which has the theme of pirates, the friendship thing is overdone to the level of my little pony. And oh, just because fairy tail is worse in that department doesn't mean OP gets a passon this.

Sasuke defeated Deidiara and Hidan was defeat (twice) by Shikamaru.

What are you talking about I'm not criticizing Naruto on teamwork...I said OP has its own meaning of teamwork. Naruto makes its villains usually less than opponents, so gang up on them.....OP makes its villains equal in number so that kind of gang work won't do. Their own team spirit comes with going against their match. That's why Usopp will run away from Doflamingo and go shooting Sugar from a distance and its happened several times...and they all know who they've got to beat at every time. You say OP has no teamwork because you only have 1 perspective of it....yet they're still good on that your perspective....Straw Hats vs Odz, StrawHats vs Pacifista....etc.

Btw, its likely that no one here watch Naruto more than myself.....I saw rapmike saying Shikamaru beat Hidan 2CE....dude is mixing canon and fillers up.

Lol what are you talking about? What naruto makes us know is that no villain is above good planning and collective abilities that are capable. Does that mean that 10 genins can defeat kakuzu? No, cos they are not capable. Even against pain with all the knowledge and help naruto was brought down till 9tails came to the rescue. But atleast we are taught the essence of fighting as a team. The pirate theme which should automatic mean teammates, ergo, teamwork shows them splitting up to fight their enemies one on one. Funny though that their numbers always match too. Zorro could finish his fight and sit back and witness luffy get pounded yet tell his friends that they should have faith in him and that he will come through for the team. Preaching rubbish about team work and how it'll be against the pride of each member to receive help from anoda member. That is not teamwork that's nonsense. Waay to help ur friend in need, faith in a friend to pull thru being a punching bag is not friendship, it's stupidity.

Dude, what I mean by saying OP is a story is that it concentrates on its story telling more than any other thing. The adventure you're calling it is still a story.
And the only reason you complain of the pacing is because you wanna see fights. Every moment, even sometimes insignificant to fans always culminates into something later. Oda simply takes his time to write his story and has greater build up instead of rushing into the climax as a result of the build up, the climax is always very big.
So if you can't be patient and let the author write his story, just shut up and quit. We don't need half made plans with lots of plot holes like in other series.

U don't have to tell me not to touch that manga again. Watching it was enough to let me know it's not great. Above average, that's agood enough score. Do you know the difference between me and you? I acknowledge the faults in my favourite mangas and even point them out to others. Then I tell them why I like it, cos you know, there is none perfect.

And where did I state that Onepiece is perfect I only said comapred to Narutro, it is more perfect than it.
We the fans criticise when we see it BUT in constructive manner & not whine like babies. You followed an anime you were never interested in the manga so no need.
There have been peeps who said worse before but don't let Oda rest anymore...

The very same thing you call nonsense is the very same reason why in your school, different teachers teach different subjects, and the Geography man can't come to teach Maths cos its not his line...but all the teachers still work towards 1 goal, perfecting their students to meet world standards.

knew about until he was about to kill Sasuke and conveniently affected Itachi the most when he was on
the verge of victory. It’s almost like the author did it
because he had to quickly think of some random way
to get Sasuke to win! 7 Gaara I don’t really understand Gaara. First the guy is able
to teleport by using sand yet he only does it when you
first meet him and when he uses it before and after
Lee’s battle. Why didn’t he do that in his battle
against Deidara? Or against Kimimaro for that matter?
Why didn’t he flat out use it in battle? Apparently he’s able to use it to make a sand clone and he can
do it in the blink of an eye (see the Gaara vs. Lee
battle) yet he doesn’t do it. Why not do that in his
other battles, have Deidara hit a shell while he moves
along the sand? 6 Gaara shield And another thing, what’s up with his sand shield?
The thing is able to take the Extreme Lotus head on
and not break, but by taking a bunch of tiny little
bombs it breaks? In fact it doesn’t, you can see the
shield cracked as they carry Gaara. So.......that means
he wasn’t hit. So.........why doesn’t he move? Get up and run? WTF!? If you’re not hurt you get up and run!
You don’t let yourself get captured! You weren’t
even scratched! What is wrong with you Gaara!? What
in the mother of all things sandy is wrong with you!?
You didn’t even get touched! Gaara, you will always
be a mystery. 5 Naruto’s Unlimited chakra Yes, that’s right, just when you think Naruto has
reached his limit he pulls out more chakra. Why?
Because he has an unlimited supply of it of course!
After all, he can fight Orochimaru, fight that water
clone weird dude, fight Kiba, and do all that and still
stand despite having to use lots of Shadow Clones. And as even more proof, we see Naruto use tons and
tons of clones to defeat Gaara. Naruto’s about to die?
More Chakra! Heck, just give him the Toad Sage on top
of the hundreds of clones he’s spent chakra on. And
that doesn’t even include the 9-tailed fox’s chakra.
Good lord, how much chakra does he have, it’s like he has as much Pein without Rinnengan. Main
character has no special ability my butt. 4 Naruto vs Kakuzu Naruto has now just joined in to battle against Kakuzu,
a powerful Akatsuki member that has tentacleish
powers that let him do various things (that we won’t
go into detail about). He can hide the tentacles
underground and then use them to grab his
opponents, he can just move them at fast speed to uh........attack you. He can move them and get you
from behind, and while using other tentacle things to
come from the front, he can also shoot blasts and
attack straight at you. He can do just about anything.
He can attack in all directions at the same time. Also,
he is very smart, he has lived for a very long time, so long that he battled the 1st Hokage, he must be
extremely smart too, if he can do all sorts of tricks
with his unlimited experience he has fighting he must
be the strongest character ever (well not really but
you get the point). Yet, Naruto seems to have some
special ability that only affects Kakuzu: he can make him lose all his powers and become super stupid. It’s really a remarkable ability, when used,
Naruto’s opponent instantly loses all of their abilities
and smarts and becomes a very very very dumb ninja
that forgot how to use his attacks, that is quite a
powerhouse. Kakuzu was hit by this and instantly
forgot that he could put tentacle things underground and kill Naruto and that he could wipe out 4 shadow
clones easily with some fire, wind, and tentacle things
attack. In fact, he both forgot and lost the ability to do
so, leaving him helpless and someone who would fall
for the stupidest tricks. It is quite an amazing ability.
Only Naruto has this power, and he has only used it once. Whether he uses it again or not, we may never
know, but one thing’s for sure, Naruto is the best at
dumbing people down and never running out of
chakra. 3 Sasuke vs Deidara OMG! Sasuke and Deidara have little to no chakra left,
this is the end of the battle and it’s looking like a tie.
But wait! Apparently, if a user of the sharingan is
under a huge amount of stress and is scared that they
might die, then they automatically gain an infinite
amount of chakra (like Naruto) and are able to move and use jutsus at the speed of light. It is quite insane if
I don’t say so myself, makes me wonder how
Naruto will beat Sasuke (wait a sec, I’m forgetting
Naruto’s special powers). After all, could anyone
else dodge Deidara’s exploding attack with little to
no chakra left? I highly doubt it. And yet, Sasuke was able to gain an infinite amount of
chakra, use it to summon the giant snake Manda, then
cast a powerful genjutsu on it, then jump inside its
mouth, and all before Deidara’s bomb could touch
him despite the fact that they were 6 feet away. Very
very haxed, the Sharingan is by far a force to be reckoned with and one that everyone should fear, no
wonder Sasuke is always acting calm and cool in
dangerous situations. 2 fillers This one is quite strange. Guess what!? Naruto after 3
years of training learns how to use shadow clones
better and learns Odama Rasengan! What about
Sakura? She learned how to concentrate her chakra to
gain super strength and learned advanced healing
techniques. Sasuke? He learned an upgraded version of Chidori that surrounds his whole body and has
become very good at genjutsu and taijutsu.
Shikamaru? He learned an advanced Shadow
Posession attack. Hinata even learned some cool
attack where she summons these 2 chakra lions or
something to her left and right as she charges and has learned much good taijutsu. What about Chouji? Ino?
Kiba? Shino? Neji? Lee? Tenten? Temari?
Ur...............well............they
learned................to...........uh..............who are they
again? It is quite strange that they have learned no attacks in
3 whole years of training, nothing. When they do
battle all they do is use their same old attacks.
So......how did they become Chunnin then if they
didn’t learn anything new?
Uh....................well...................no more to be said than that really. Wait you want me to talk about them
more? But they’re just filler now........... 1 All right kids, time for a history lesson on the tailed
beasts in the Naruto world. In the world, there are 9
tailed beasts. They all live inside a human and at any
time can be brought out of the human so they can use
their full strength. BUT! There’s a catch! The only one
that is actually strong is the 9 tailed fox. All the others are very weak and can easily be beat with 1 or 2
strong ninja. The 1 tails was easily beat by a Genin and
strong summon. The 2 tails lost to 2 of the weakest
members of Akatsuki. 3 tails went the same way,
although it was really only 1 ninja, the other just ran
away. 4 tails got beat by merely one strong ninja. The 5-7 tails have unknown fates but if they didn’t last
long then they couldn’t of been that strong. 8 tails
was beat by 1 attack, 1 ATTACK! While the attack is
strong, it’s surprising at how easily it is to beat
theses beasts. Now then, what about the 9-tails? Oh, well, you see, the 9-tails unlike the others is super
strong, so strong that the legendary 4th Hokage had
to give his life to beat it. Not only that, but the
legendary leader of Akatsuki couldn’t even stop it
with his jutsu that took out everyone else. Quite
amazing, a force to be reckoned with. So it is now known that if you have a tailed beast inside you, it is
only going to help you if it has 9 tails. If it doesn’t,
you are screwed, and the amount of power it gives
you is minimal and you might as well just not rely on it
at all. Gaara learned that, he did that when he battled
Deidara. Completely ignored the tailed beast, yah Gaara sure is smart to do that. Gaara..........

Naruto has a 1001 plots holes and I can list them for you. However what you listed aren't even plot holes except naruto's excessive power, sasuke vs deidera and naruto vs kakuzu.

Gaara wasn't vanishing, he moved fast for the genins to see, hence, teleportation effects. Even his feracious sand was stopped by gi sensei with one hand. something that was too much forlee to handle.

Also gaara got captured after exhausting himself of chakra after moving that huge block of sand that was directly below his village. Deidera knew he cared for his people and used this to his advantage. And deidera's bomb are anything but small explosive. They are extremely potent.

I dnt even get your complaints about shadow clones at all. They are forbidden for a reason.

By fillers, do you mean fodders? Also every one improved. Infact, most improved more than naruto after the time skip till kishi started giving him abilities left and right. Maybe they didn't improve enough but there was some improvement.

1tail was captured because he cares too much for his people. 2tails got captured by two immortals. 4th one got captured a ninja that uses your chakra against you and since tailed beast have a lot of chakra and fight with them, you should understand this. The 6tails is female in a male's body. 8tails one tail got captured by highly motivated new recruits who were very dangerous but got beaten to near death themselves, only for a single tail. Had naruto fought kisame in beast mode he would have lost, or even had he fought nagato himself instead of god pain then he would have lost too. And the fourth didn't die saving the village from the 9tails. He. Died because he wanted to seal half the nine tails in his son and also to store a bit of his and his wife's chakra in their son so that they could see him one more time when the time was right (very very very nonsensical reason, the second one)

Etc.

So wait...knowing geography and knowing mathematics is the same as fighting a villain? Are you telling me that zorro cannot help luffy fight a villain because........reasons? Whine like babies? Are you serious right now...the OP fanbase is the most abnoxious one there is. You try to put others down and use number of sales to make your point of superiority. Maybe you aren't one of those, but clearly you haven't met your fanbase yet.

I didn't follow a manga/anime I was never interested in....how did you come to the conclusion that I was never into OP before I got into it? Do you actually read what you post? I began reading the manga, was loving it...but couldn't keep up with the rough art so I switched to the anime and watched 300+ of them. I'd actually go with my laptop to a very expensive cafe, pay huge money and download one piece just because I wanted to see if it will get better (atleast from my perspective) then I finally gave up cos it went from silly to more silly.

The adventure I'm talking about is not necessarily stories but new people and characters. No body cares for the averages stories the worlds have to tell, because they aren't engaging enough. The new people to meet, the new world to see, the new villains to fight....this is the adventure. So no, it's not the story.

And lastly? Since when did pace become dependent on fight scenes? Do you understand what pacing in a literary work means? It moves too slow and has little going for the longest of time. I need information that would move the story towards some resolution and after watching 300+ episodes, I was fed with nothing but luffy and his gang playing heroes to anybody they meet. No info on the monkey's one piece treasure. Just luffy unesscessarily making a ton of friends that always results in him being turned into a punching bag. Fights are not necessarily part of pacing. Infact when talking of pacing, fights are not factored at all.

If Nami wasn't there, Luffy wouldn't be able to get Enel. Df advantage did the rest for him.
Luffy and his crew tag teamed against Moria and Odz before defeating them. Luffy then passed out and Zoro took his place against Kuma.
Nojiko and Gen-san helped Luffy recover before beating Arlong. And he didn't need help beating Arlong, even Zoro could if he was in perfect shape.

And simply because One piece didn't take up your ideas doesn't mean it has faults. There's no need preaching about what you know little about.

Don't worry, it doesn't need to dawn on your dull brain. They've always resorted to fighting together when it was necessary, against Odz and the Pacifistas...funny enough, this same type of teamwork was also depicted severally in Naruto. So if you have a problem with them tackling their opponents alone, then go relying on everybody all the days of your life.

No info on the monkey's one piece treasure. Just luffy unesscessarily making a ton of friends that always results in him being turned into a punching bag. Fights are not necessarily part of pacing. Infact when talking of pacing, fights are not factored at all.

Funny enough, the things you call 'unnecessary' are the very things that has got One Piece the praise it has over the years. If at all you did literature in school, you'll know that those are qualities of a good storyline. I didn't accuse Naruto of fights, its just the fact.
Naruto comes out, announces he's gonna be homage, his contemporaries are introduced, little or no background is given to them, his enemies are called out, little or no background too...just fix them all up and get a series of links then..Round 1, Fight.
No real development, what much can we say about the other nations, bijuu, Jinchuriki, some Akatsuki members, other kages etc....but the battles and their powers are well organized and detailed..hec, some powers even were stupid...characters, very poorly outlined. Throw them in randomly, set up a fight and arc ends.
One Piece....Luffy announces he's going to be the Pirate King, ruler of the seas....we have a detailed explanation of the seas, the islands too, the kingdoms revealed have a development, major and semi major characters have their story and are well structured, the powers are well detailed, Luffy's contemporaries are given necessary and good screentime, and from time to time, character links are established, even subtle talks comes out big much later in the story. Oda even includes real world realities, and people can easily bring out what he used and he'll confirm it. Every reader understands what happens without much questions. This is Story telling.
Now because doing these things takes time and carefulness, some will always complain of pacing...and those who just wanna complain will always manufacture a complaint....

Since you were impatient to find out the storyline or plot, then I can't help you. A writer must make sure his fans don't have an idea or a clue to what events that might take place cos the day your story becomes predictable, then you are done for.

Good lord, how much chakra does he have, it’s like he has as much Pein without Rinnengan. Main
character has no special ability my butt. 4 Naruto vs Kakuzu Naruto has now just joined in to battle against Kakuzu,
a powerful Akatsuki member that has tentacleish
powers that let him do various things (that we won’t
go into detail about). He can hide the tentacles
underground and then use them to grab his
opponents, he can just move them at fast speed to uh........attack you. He can move them and get you
from behind, and while using other tentacle things to
come from the front, he can also shoot blasts and
attack straight at you. He can do just about anything.
He can attack in all directions at the same time. Also,
he is very smart, he has lived for a very long time, so long that he battled the 1st Hokage, he must be
extremely smart too, if he can do all sorts of tricks
with his unlimited experience he has fighting he must
be the strongest character ever (well not really but
you get the point). Yet, Naruto seems to have some
special ability that only affects Kakuzu: he can make him lose all his powers and become super stupid. It’s really a remarkable ability, when used,
Naruto’s opponent instantly loses all of their abilities
and smarts and becomes a very very very dumb ninja
that forgot how to use his attacks, that is quite a
powerhouse. Kakuzu was hit by this and instantly
forgot that he could put tentacle things underground and kill Naruto and that he could wipe out 4 shadow
clones easily with some fire, wind, and tentacle things
attack. In fact, he both forgot and lost the ability to do
so, leaving him helpless and someone who would fall
for the stupidest tricks. It is quite an amazing ability.
Only Naruto has this power, and he has only used it once. Whether he uses it again or not, we may never
know, but one thing’s for sure, Naruto is the best at
dumbing people down and never running out of
chakra. 3 Sasuke vs Deidara OMG! Sasuke and Deidara have little to no chakra left,
this is the end of the battle and it’s looking like a tie.
But wait! Apparently, if a user of the sharingan is
under a huge amount of stress and is scared that they
might die, then they automatically gain an infinite
amount of chakra (like Naruto) and are able to move and use jutsus at the speed of light. It is quite insane if
I don’t say so myself, makes me wonder how
Naruto will beat Sasuke (wait a sec, I’m forgetting
Naruto’s special powers). After all, could anyone
else dodge Deidara’s exploding attack with little to
no chakra left? I highly doubt it. And yet, Sasuke was able to gain an infinite amount of
chakra, use it to summon the giant snake Manda, then
cast a powerful genjutsu on it, then jump inside its
mouth, and all before Deidara’s bomb could touch
him despite the fact that they were 6 feet away. Very
very haxed, the Sharingan is by far a force to be reckoned with and one that everyone should fear, no
wonder Sasuke is always acting calm and cool in
dangerous situations. 2 fillers This one is quite strange. Guess what!? Naruto after 3
years of training learns how to use shadow clones
better and learns Odama Rasengan! What about
Sakura? She learned how to concentrate her chakra to
gain super strength and learned advanced healing
techniques. Sasuke? He learned an upgraded version of Chidori that surrounds his whole body and has
become very good at genjutsu and taijutsu.
Shikamaru? He learned an advanced Shadow
Posession attack. Hinata even learned some cool
attack where she summons these 2 chakra lions or
something to her left and right as she charges and has learned much good taijutsu. What about Chouji? Ino?

that is actually strong is the 9 tailed fox. All the others are very weak and can easily be beat with 1 or 2
strong ninja. The 1 tails was easily beat by a Genin and
strong summon. The 2 tails lost to 2 of the weakest
members of Akatsuki. 3 tails went the same way,
although it was really only 1 ninja, the other just ran
away. 4 tails got beat by merely one strong ninja. The 5-7 tails have unknown fates but if they didn’t last
long then they couldn’t of been that strong. 8 tails
was beat by 1 attack, 1 ATTACK! While the attack is
strong, it’s surprising at how easily it is to beat
theses beasts. Now then, what about the 9-tails? Oh, well, you see, the 9-tails unlike the others is super
strong, so strong that the legendary 4th Hokage had
to give his life to beat it. Not only that, but the
legendary leader of Akatsuki couldn’t even stop it
with his jutsu that took out everyone else. Quite
amazing, a force to be reckoned with. So it is now known that if you have a tailed beast inside you, it is
only going to help you if it has 9 tails. If it doesn’t,
you are screwed, and the amount of power it gives
you is minimal and you might as well just not rely on it
at all. Gaara learned that, he did that when he battled
Deidara. Completely ignored the tailed beast, yah Gaara sure is smart to do that. Gaara..........

That's why Zoro will defend Usopp from the marines, but when a rust man comes to beat Zoro, Usopp will beat him from his place.
Saying they don't help each other in battles because you don't see them ganging up with strategy is really shallow.

The record OP has as at chapter 576, wasn't even met with Naruto's 700 chapters. Right now OP at 796 chapters have triple overall that of Naruto, and is the largest grossing series, manga, anime and anime movies.
Walk into a standard manga store in US or Japan OP has its own special section while others are on a shelf.

I agree there is better character dev to OP characters ( and why not, you have more manga chapters after all) however to completely miss the reason for the manga and stray to develop every character we meet is trully boring and very unecessary, hence, bad pacing. Good story telling doesn't mean every character must have a story. See fma and death note for instance. The one thing that killed naruto was the overreliance on huge justu instead of intelligence like it was before shippuden. Also naruto's friends were kids just like him. Most had parents (sakura's case was stupid though) and the ones that had a bizzare childhood had their story told. This is unlike OP which has characters that actually require character building otherwise it would be an obvious sh!t manga.

Lol....like I said, you only think its boring and unnecessary, but they are very very necessary. And it didn't in anyway miss the main point of the story, Oda never told you that his story is concentrated on finding some treasure, and that's where you're missing it. OP explores a way more broader sense of story than just finding some hidden treasure somewhere. Sorry if you're disappointed but its pacing is good you're just not patient enough.

Dude, fairy tales doesn't sell more than FMA or the FMA brotherhood, It only has more chapters so better overall sales. But for the past 3 years now, FT hasn't been in top10 while FMA has been there and was even 2nd for about two years before AOT and Basket took it. OP has been number1 for 7years now. Sales largely determines quality especially when its same type of products at same price and place.
Like I said, all you're doing is personal critics simply because you didn't get what you are looking for. Going less than one quarter of a story doesn't give you enough grounds to raise the critics though. OP has a great story to tell and not just looking for One Piece.
