Leave that one alone, she's feeling funky like all igbos do. They are just a problematic set of cannibals beings. I guess it proves their non-ignorant nature of venturing into the unknown including feasting on human flesh. And many other interesting funky activities.

Ndihleka in tsotsi taal grin I really wanted to cuss that stupid bytch but at the same time I've met good people apha, who happen to be Igbos so I really didn't wanna generalise.

Ngathi you're not very fond of Igbos, what's the tea, sana? Bangabantu abanjani?

All I asked was that she supports he argument and she didn't.

Then who are the subjects of king Sigcawu? Monkeys??

I cannot take her argument at face value just because she is South African.
Even if she was a professor of Apartheid history.

She is ignorant and has little knowledge about your country.

u shud take her argument at face value coz she's South African nd u just a kwerekwere nje ...u no nothing about us .

ACTIVE KINGDOM like the Zulu & the Swazi. No Xhosa person sees Dalindyebo/Sigcawu as their king, so yes, I know what I'm talking about. We don't have a king that decides for us. Period. Ask even Oohlalah. She's a Xhosa person just like myself.

VandalZA is Ndebele & I rather have him correct me because I'm sure he knows better since it's his culture.
you are correct Ndebele kings are not influential like the Zulu and Swazi who force people to live by their T&C's...... We Ndebele's not controlled by our kings.

There we solved the "mystery" finally! ChineloSA can now officially kiss my @ss.

I knew Ndebeles were like the Xhosa where it comes to kings & all that ish. Out of the 4 Nguni groups, 2 have REAL kings.

This story is not completely true. In Swaziland & parts of South Africa they do virginity testing. IT IS NOT COMPULSORY. Those that take part in it, do so on their own accord.

King Muswati DOES NOT choose a wife from the little children, he chooses from the older girls & to my understanding, the girls have a say. They can say, no.

Btw, even his daughters take part in the ceremony. It is called Reed Dance or uMhlanga. The history behind it is that, in the past, they used to send virgin girls to go pick up the reed that would be used to build the palace's cattle kraal. I don't know how it is in West Africa, but in the SADC, the kraal is the most important part of a homestead. It should be pure (women aren't allowed in the kraal) because that's where most family rituals are done, so I guess that's why virgins were allocated the task of picking up the building material. Now times are different, however, not every girl that claims to be a virgin is a virgin, like in the olden days, that's when the testing comes in, just to make sure they're still "pure" before carrying such an important royal task. It has now become part of their lifestyle to remain virgins because they want to be part of the celebrations & of course some have the hope of being the King's next bride. They're there to peacock for him--some & some are just there for the ceremony because it is considered an honour to be part of that.

Anyway, the 1st pic is king muswati's own daughter. She also takes part in the reed dance. The 2nd pic is of the girls, the potential brides to be aka palace's virgin reed pickers. 3rd pic is an example of a kraal.

Oh d king already has a grown daughter why degrade n molest this ones again.
What a tradition!

Ja neh no girl, as is. I've watched amadela ngozi ( dare devils) get into pits of hell that they cannot come out of time and time again. So, i'd rather not tempt fate by saying its going to be different with me.

Safe than sorry!

@Punkyveer,

Even if this is culturally correct, it can still be done in private and not this public event or spectacle that it is now with pictures on the internet.

Pictures should not even be taken. Why won't such communities have issues with sexual assault.

Hence, it is what it is, culturally licensed perversion. Despicable and full of indignities.

the ceremony can be in public. The inspection of the women's genitals needs to be done in private

i find Nigerians' obsession with the word "barbarism" funny and annoying, Sir with due respect, you guys burn 8 year olds suspected of witchcraft, stone people suspected of adultery, tear people's bodies for human organs, other areas of your country are rife with cannibalism and other backward cult practices and you have. The audacity in calling other people's cultures of which you know nothing about "barbaric"!

Why use panadol for another man's headache ? where did you see any man poking his hands inside anybody's body in the whole pictures. 'Do not rub a cat powder' to justify a point!
