However, when the July coup happened, Gowon rewarded the people that carried out wanton killings against their supposed countrymen, thus giving everyone the impression that the life of easterners did not matter.
Now you wonder why Igbos are now asking for Biafra. Why won't they, when you have demonstrated with your actions, that their blood could be spilled willy nilly without adverse consequences.
