if i get you correctly the time of the month is her period.if its that severe when ever she has it then she need to see a doctor who will prescribe a very strong medication that she will start using a week or two before her period.a more permanent option is if your neighbour don ready to be papa he fit give her belle gbam it solves the issues.most ladies who had this experience (like my mother) it stopped when they started giving birth; for most ladies it more severe than others.medication goes a long to help

from experience, a lady friend I know that takes those pain reliving drugs you listed stopped taking them because when went to the doctor to complain of irregular circle, the doc said she should stop the drugs that it's not good...

My advice everybody systems is different, ladies go to the doctor and know the right one so as to avoid complications of the adverse/reverse effect of the drugs in respect with female fertility later in life

You can tell her to use sanitary pad with ANION STRIP. This can help to stop the painful cramp. It is not sold in the stores, but there are distributors she can reach to can it. A pack is sold for N1,500 . She can google the product from the distributors where she lives.

my sugar intake. If she eats healthy and abstains from those canned soda drinks,ice-creams,chocolates she will

If you have watched titanic, the part where Jack placed Rose on the floating stuff, you can't control the tears rolling down ur cheeks or standing in your eyes, and that's how I feel hearing this girl cry like that. Sometimes her sister would come and this has been going on for months. 


Two days ago, I heard the wife crying again, and since my compound is where no one cares, nobody has ever bothered to go in and ask what's happening, but I have had enough and was ready to confront the guy, i am going to give him a piece of my mind and Damn the consequences, so on this day I walked into their flat, the parlour door was open so I just walked in, on getting in, I found the girl in pants and bra, with wrapper half way her stomach, the guy is sitting by her side with a side stool, on the floor are packs of medication, bottled water, what looks like custard and other stuffs. When I walked in that wasn't the sight I was expecting, I had hoped to see the guy beating the living day light out of his fiancee, and me yelling at him to stop. I may have been frozen for like 15 secs while I absorb what's going on. I managed to say a weak sorry, turned around and walked out. The guy followed me immediately and asked what I wanted, I explained to him how I had heard his fiancee crying and wanted to make sure she is ok. "She is fine, thanks for your concern" then walked away, I know he is pissed at me walking into their apartment like that, and even the worst, seeing his woman like that. Damn what was I thinking sef! 


When I got back to my flat, the movie felt sour, couldn't concentrate on anything, all I could think of is how I am going to compose my words and apologize to the guy and his fiancee. This morning I saw him washing his car, so I walked up to him and started reciting my memorized apology. Planning is the key people, cos with the way I said what I said it hit him cold. The guy started explaining what's going on to me without me even asking. Apparently that's how the fiancee gets into pains whenever it's that time of the month for her, he said the pains could be excruciating for her. He said it's a part of her he's only getting to know as they only moved in together a few months ago, he has advice her going to see a doctor but she rebuffed the idea saying it is a normal thing. He explains how he goes through sleepless nights, boiling water and putting it in a plastic bowl with cover so she can place it on the stomach, buying pain relieves, he mentioned quite a bit of pain relieves, but that they seem to do little. Nothing extra ordinary is wrong with her. Just a small percentage of women suffer from such menstrual pain every month.

Speaking from experience though. My aunty (2 of my dad's sisters) and a cousin of mine suffer from it.

People don't sleep during those periods. Everyone knows its that time of the month. I can't prescribe what they use to relieve the pain because its different medication for different body system.

She needs to see a doctor ASAP. If possible a gynaecologist. Send me a mail if you need a name and number for them especially if you're in Lagos.

Its not a spiritual attack o and self medication clearly ain't helping.
Kindly speak with the man not to relent, I understand how he must feel and he must be commended. Not all men would want to watch her go through that every month.

@op, if its menstrual related pain, get a bottle of gangaria asap. Let her take it as recommended for one week. Gangaria is herbal medicine for that condition but is NAFDAC registered. Its highly potent. Thank me later.

I felt her pains. I go thru d same thing monthly, may be she should try my own remedies. Most tines, i'll take a short of Brandy, wen its not available, i'll take 2 tablets of Buscopan, 2 capsules of Felvin and 2 tablets of Flagyl. They help in relieving d pains alot, if not i'll be messed up and wont get myself . Hope dis helps

OP, That lady may be suffering from Endometriosis. My friend had similar symptoms she went to all so called best hospitals in Abuja and they could not diagnose it. She called to inform me last year that she had laparoscope treatment in USA. I do not know if it this treatment can be done in Nigeria but she should go to the hospital because there are many causes of Menstrual pains.

However, tell her to stop eating sugary products, caffeine and fried foods. It help eliminate pains. God will help her.

Well menstryal cramps relieve defers with women.in my mother side we ladies v such but different things ease d pain a little.some might b yoyo bitters or reduction of sugar intake; or contraceptive pills;kacharm but I take felvin 20. That works only for I; d others with d hot water tube faints me.But preferable she see a gynaecologist.

A couple of months ago a young couple moved into the compound, the girl looks 25 max while the guy looks 28, they seem happy and in love, but at least once every month I will hear the girl crying profusely, I would hear her crying and lamenting, saying things like Jesus ooo, God oooo, ehhhhhhh, God please help me, I can't take this anymore, ewoo, etc then I would hear her snapping her fingers. I am probably the most soft hearted male, cos I would be feeling really sad, I don't know what a soul is, but I feel really depressed and saddened in my soul each time. If you have watched titanic, the part where Jack placed Rose on the floating stuff, you can't control the tears rolling down ur cheeks or standing in your eyes, and that's how I feel hearing this girl cry like that. Sometimes her sister would come and this has been going on for months. 


Two days ago, I heard the wife crying again, and since my compound is where no one cares, nobody has ever bothered to go in and ask what's happening, but I have had enough and was ready to confront the guy, i am going to give him a piece of my mind and Damn the consequences, so on this day I walked into their flat, the parlour door was open so I just walked in, on getting in, I found the girl in pants and bra, with wrapper half way her stomach, the guy is sitting by her side with a side stool, on the floor are packs of medication, bottled water, what looks like custard and other stuffs. When I walked in that wasn't the sight I was expecting, I had hoped to see the guy beating the living day light out of his fiancee, and me yelling at him to stop. I may have been frozen for like 15 secs while I absorb what's going on. I managed to say a weak sorry, turned around and walked out. The guy followed me immediately and asked what I wanted, I explained to him how I had heard his fiancee crying and wanted to make sure she is ok. "She is fine, thanks for your concern" then walked away, I know he is pissed at me walking into their apartment like that, and even the worst, seeing his woman like that. Damn what was I thinking sef! 


When I got back to my flat, the movie felt sour, couldn't concentrate on anything, all I could think of is how I am going to compose my words and apologize to the guy and his fiancee. This morning I saw him washing his car, so I walked up to him and started reciting my memorized apology. Planning is the key people, cos with the way I said what I said it hit him cold. The guy started explaining what's going on to me without me even asking. Apparently that's how the fiancee gets into pains whenever it's that time of the month for her, he said the pains could be excruciating for her. He said it's a part of her he's only getting to know as they only moved in together a few months ago, he has advice her going to see a doctor but she rebuffed the idea saying it is a normal thing. He explains how he goes through sleepless nights, boiling water and putting it in a plastic bowl with cover so she can place it on the stomach, buying pain relieves, he mentioned quite a bit of pain relieves, but that they seem to do little. He felt bad cos he is now of the idea that the rest of the neighbors may also have the perception of him being an abusive guy without knowing what's going on, told me he had to take days off from work sometimes to stay with her and when he can't, her sister comes around. 


In my attempt to be nice, I had promised to find a solution to his problem. Don't blame me, at that moment I just want to be nice and get myself out of the mess I got in and appear a good friend. 


So please, if there is anyone out here who knows why this guy's fiancee is going through so much pains, and if it's normal, are there home remedies, herbs or medical prescriptions that could help her situation, please help a brother out. Dankie!!!

Looks like endometriosis, if she can get this Chinese tea....'gui zi fu ling wan,' it's still the only cure for this monster....

I hope this is serious. If it is there are a few suggestions you can share with your neighbor.

1. See a doctor, a lot of women get severe cramps but when the pain is debilitating it would be wise to get it checked out. Others mentioned endometriosis. It could be, but only a medical professional can say.

2. Stay away from cold drinks during this time. It may sound silly but skip the ice and chilled water and drinks. Have room temperature water and lots of warm/hot drinks.

3. Limit sugar and junk food intake. Like seriously cut back on your intake during that time.

4. Lots of fruit and copious amounts of water. The more water the better.

5. Exercise! Yes exercise really helps with cramps. Most women don't want to go to the gym when they're already in pain but even the smallest bit of cardio can help. If you especially work out the days leading up to your period it helps.

6. GINGER TEA!!! I can't tell you how much this helps the cramps. Just slice up some fresh ginger root and boil it in water with a black tea bag. Add milk and honey. Don't skip the honey.

7. Eat bananas. They have pain relieving properties. Some nuts like walnuts (I'm not sure how accessible that is in Nigeria) has pain relieving properties too.

8. Make sure to take B vitamins, especially B6. Take fish oil supplements. The Omega 3 is helpful.

Good luck to her and all the females with this issue. Men I know u can't relate but be understanding. It's no joke.
