Bros abeg if u feel too big to take a job, then take a hike. This job came with descriptions that u can take or leave why criticize it when u weren't forced to accept it. There are ppl like me who will be happy to do what it takes to get that truck. Most of the trucks u see on the road are more than 10 yrs oldand still working fine and if u really know what a truck gets for a trip, u will have a run for ur money. And I have not seen a nice offer of a truck after three yrs. For example a truck costs N18 millon divide it by 2 as salvage value (that's the value of what's left of the truck just saying) that's N9 million. On getting the truck do u know how much it takes to hire a truck u own? That's abt N100,000 PER TRIP plus trustworthy customers u will get during ur three yrs of service so before u complain, do ur home work well. A very good opportunity if I may say
Good submission, but the engines and Trans are Mercedes Benz engineered. They can go 1 million miles-1.6m km if well taken care of. N100k doesn't cover our cost of diesel. It takes about N120-N150k to get ur truck in shape for a long haul like that. Trucks charge between N350-N500 to haul dead weight like cement to the core north. After expenses, ur take home should be around N200k per trip. So if u can just make one trip in a wk, u make 200k=N800k in a month- u can make 9.6m in yr-( this is a conservative estimate)

Rubbish, scared beech ass motherfukaz. Aboki guys do this all their life with little or no benefit, here you are entitled to the truck after three yrs of prudent management and supervision. Risk or no risk our yung bloods join the military to keep our asses safe but little or none get remembered or get their entitlement after they fall in the field. Everything as i see am na 50/50 if u can't take it leave it and dont malign the young man who is only trying to give back when the chunk of your leaders would rather stash theirs abroad and lord themselves over you in the name of 'big man'.

Hope we meet again on some other issues.

Its graduates like the OP that make ppl say Nigerian graduates are half baked, why come here and rant, didn't u see the terms of the job before u applied, lets assume u were drunk when u applied, when u were called, didn't they ask u if u were willing to follow d truck, i'm sure u said yes that was why d text was sent to u, stop discouraging ppl, not evrybody loves a sit at an office job, some ppl are adventurous n would love the offer.
-As regards the risk part, some ppl wake up by 4am evryday, and are at bus stops by 5am is that not risk, and spend abt 2hours just to get to there place of wrk, to and fro, they spend abt 5hours on the road each day, is that not risk?they get home by 10pm, and are expected to wake by 4am d nxt day, is that not risk to there health?
- frm the OPs writeup, all i can deduce is that the OP nova see life, he hasn't seen things, he's in a comfort zone, if to say him be person wey don walka, him for know wassup
- As regards the renumeration, monthly allowance will be paid, allowance will be doubled if u meet the monthly target and there is also trip allowance
-To anybody feeling discouraged, at all at all na him be witch, nobody employs someone without experince these days, just hold this one first, if something better comes up, than u can switch....Thank u

Sir u made some good point, but the name calling is not necessary, u do have a good knowledge of the offer. I don't respond to comments with abusive words but due to the fact that I could deduce from ur write up that are only out to help others who might feel discouraged by my assertions, I choose to respond.

1. When I was called I wasn't told I will follow a truck.

2. When asked if I can, although no one asked but my colleagues my answer was no

3. The job requirements states that: first degree or HND in any discipline. 2.Prior experience in transport or fleet management is desired but not compulsory. So as u can see no where was it stated that driving is compulsory.

4. The job description states that : we have 7,000 trucks to share with hardworking and committed individuals with great business acumen willing to manage, and operate a truck if necessary by appointing there own driver ( who will pass our screening).

So nowhere was it stated that we would drive or follow a truck, it was stated that we will need to make the truck always available When needed. So please get ur facts right sir. Thanks

If you have no idea about something just keep mute ok. The only thing you will benefit from the Dangote Group before the truck covered the 400,000km is 8k after every successful trip made. What can you do with that amount if I may ask My women went for the training don't think I'm just defendng the OP ok.
Then be silent and let those graduates currently earning 30k or thereabout a month go for it. Over used or not, a 3year old well used trailer is an asset!

If you are reasonable enough, what will you be living on within the years you mentioned. Remain a borden to your family members and friends Have you forgotten the aspect of the damages you and your guarantors may pay if anything should happened to the truck within the said time Wise up mahn and don't fooled by the rich.

Gerrout! And will you stop using insults at me! If it's not good enough for you, then turn a blind eye! You keep saying negatives but I'm pretty sure you haven't seen the terms of contract first hand! I have friends who graduated in 2009 and are yet to have a job, are you implying that unemployment is better than such? If you have a better job, then keep yours and let others who don't start from somewhere!

Mr brighter grammar thanks for the observations, but I would have prefer you correct dos mistakes. Even if the truck cost 300 billion dollars, I care less, have only expressed my views on the program and I think am entitled to that, and I do have a job so am not desperate. I bet u are from Ghana cos u said we like freebies? I didn't beg Dangote for money so I wonder were am asking for freebies, that I dont agree to the terms of the job doesn't mean am lazy or want everything on a platter of gold, its my choice. For your calmness in responding i see you only need guidance.
Guy take that offer with both hands.

Youre not the one driving sef? Just to follow driver dey observe and you would given the truck after 3 years? (please clarify)
Ever heard at all at all na him bad pass? If you get a job at shell or shlumberger abi how dem dey spell am sef? and tomorrow you were asked to leave due to the prevailing price of crude would that suffice to you as a good lemon that wont upset your tummy? Or if it was a bank and because of sanusis policies were asked to leave just like that without prior notice, thats a pretty sweet big and juicy lemon right?

An entrepreneur is someone who is willing to do the type of things others wont want to do in order to live the kind of life others can only dream of living.

Not everyone has that spirit i must admit...truthfully its not for everyone.

For me i think its laudable what Dangote and Carlos are doing if yo can think through this rather than allowing your ego and emotions get to you.

How long is 3 years my brother? Wizkids first album is older than that (and hes been dishing out crap ever since) and in three years *visualize with me* this truck is yours.

You now begin your own haulage business, youve learnt most of the tricks of the trade in 3 years with your driver. So no driver can come and give you one story tomorrow. Youre turning in steady revenue, apply for a loan to get a second truck or maybe even buy one of your colleagues own and you now have two.

Then you keep at it maybe one truck is reduced to local trips youre able to get another or maybe even two, bear in mind in 3 years you have gained mad experience and established relationships along the way so no driver you hire can come and hoodwink you.

The principles of success dont vary beyond a + or - 5 variance from what i just told you.

if shell like make dem leave Nigeria sack all their staff, we are a consumer nation and supply chain distribution is one thing we wont ever do without.

I swear to you any complaints you wife had in these initial 3 years will die and you will become ehn? Super husband. Best part you dont need to leave home again na on top phone you go dey monitor driver(s) sebi they were complaining you were not home for 3 years, ahswear if your wife doesnt ask you to be leaving the house just so she can be free from the way youre always making her cook for you and the alarming rate of your eating eba, dont talk to me again.

Its an initial sacrifice but well worth it.

Sorry i misjudged you as unmarried, get your wife in line with the process. im yet to see the woman who wont fall in love (all over in your case) with a man who has a plan.

Bros. I was going over this thread again and I swear, this is the best advice/comment on here. Its humour filled, very objective, factual and very tru about the nigerian economy. Reading this again and am kinda having a rethink about the whole process.

Once again, thanks. Let's see how it goes.

Someone saw this thread and had to travel to Obajana, he was bounced at the gate and had to contact me, I did the needful and he got the information necessary and he's on his way to the Ibeshe plant now.

Your observations are wrong, I graduated from a federal university and have graduated for about the same years u spoke of. U saying 'wetin dem knw' is a very wrong statement. That u are cool with the idea dosnt make u more knowledgeable than someone who disagree with the program. I really don't know what to pick from ur rants up there cos they lacked facts

Laundry business is one of the most lucrative businesses that has existed over the years as many people prefer their clothes and other apparels to be handled by specialists in the field. Starting a laundry business does not really require much, but expertise and consistency is what makes a laundry business to grow faster and profitable to the owner. There are few things to consider when trying to set up a standard laundry business that will be able to bring about profits.
