When i saw your reply i thought you were going to say something logical but i was wrong. How does situating a REFINERY up North facilitate the distribution of refined products? Now this is why i said the average Hausa-Fulani is incapable of complex reasoning. Lagos does not have any refinery but it gets more petroleum product than Kaduna. Imo, Anambra, Ogun does not have refineries but they get more refined petroleum products than Kaduna.

You build tank farms strategically across the country not refineries dunderhead. BTW you did not answer all my questions.

Sorry, but how do you then get the refined products to the tank farms?

Oga Fulani, let me please ask you these questions that have been throbbing my mind since i was a boy. I haven't been lucky enough to meet a Fulani man personally so since i was lucky to find you here, i could as well just drop my questions.

What is an oil refinery doing in the North?
What is a gas power plant doing in the North?
Of what economic sense is the laying of gas pipeline that stretches over 600km to refine a product that should have been done closer to its source.

Don't you see that your leaders are evil people who deserve nothing less than being hanged by their balls. Your Emirs and politicians have been a bottleneck to the development of Nigeria. For example,

* The energy required to transport crude oil to a distance of over 600km is enough to power the whole street lights in Lagos.

* The cost of laying gas pipeline from Bayelsa to Kaduna can build another coal power plant with a capacity of 100 MW.

* The amount of time lost to inefficiency when transporting a product 600km before refining is enough to produce 2 times the volume of the said product.

* The risk of vandalism and total cost of repair of vandalized pipeline when accidents occur in the course of transporting crude oil to the North since 1970 can build a mini refinery with a capacity of 100,000 BPD.

The truth is your fulani leaders cannot be said to be the brightest people in a room but why they struggle so hard to be in power beats me. People with low IQ shouldn't be allowed anywhere close to the seat of power. History has it that countries ruled by dunderheads end up a disaster and you don't have to look further, just look at Northerners 38 years rule of Nigeria.
Oh! What a wonderful piece. How I wish the citizens of this damnation will reason.

Your questions are an easy puzzle if you can answer the following.

What is an oil refinery doing in many countries that do not produce crude oil?

What is the importance of the location of the buying consumer versus the location of the raw material?

How do you suggest the many individual fractions of the crude oil if actually refined in the South, should be transported to the North where the buying consumers are located?

Is the Kaduna refinery operated by the state government or by the same federal government agency that operates the refineries in the South?

Are the staffing needs of the Kaduna refinery subject to the federal character principles the other refineries in the South are also subject to?

Are the refined products from Kaduna refinery meant for consumption in the North or in the South?

What is the risk and cost of vandalism for 1pipeline of crude oil versus many pipelines of individual crude oil fractions?

How do you get yam, ground oil, rice etc from North to the South?
How do you get refined products from Lagos to Kano?

That's when transport infrastructure comes in not building REFINERIES in far away North, it beats every economic logic. As a matter of fact, there is no need for a tank farm in the North, a working refinery in SS with an efficient railway system can easily service the Northern petroleum need.

This is another level of tomfoolery.

You mean Aguiyi Ironsi was naive by killing the prime minister 'Abubakar Balewa' and Ahmadu Bello both notherners n heartlessly dumping Ahmadu Bello's lifeless body by the roadside on the street of Lagos ?

How about if Nigeria had retaliated killing Ojukwu and Nnamdi Azikiwe like Samuel Doe ? Trouble go sidon you go find am start shouting murder. Others should just watch you kill their leaders at the same time boast about it. Na only una sabi do coup. Why not orchestrate a new coup to realize Biafra or when you slaughtered Abubakar Balewa' and Ahmadu Bello in cold blood the Hausa/Fulani agitated for HausaFra or FulaniFra ?

I wonder what part of history some of you Biafrans actually read.

Foolery or tomfoolery is when a grown up could not make sense out of present day events, such as knowing that Ironsi did not kill Balewa or Bello. It a present day event because account of the first coup that claimed these lives are all over the place, and you should have known better than muddle up historical events for your selfish conclusion.

FYI, those people were killed in a coup led by Nzeogwu. Ironsi, Ojukwu, and other senior officers arrested the coup plotters and jailed them. Ironsi died, because like GEJ, he trusted northern army officers more than his own people, or let's say he was simply naive, thinking that everybody had enough sense to be fair. Gowon was his principal secretary, with a corp of junior officers led by Danjuma as his security detail. Six months after Balewa and others died in the first coup, Ironsi's junior officers led a second coup claiming to avange the death of northerners killed by igbo officers.
Just like Ironsi, GEJ surrounded himself with northerners, from Dasuki(who later confessed to helping Buhari win), to Gusau, to IBB. Adulsalm Abubukar and his so-called peace committee forced GEJ to make the concession phone call. If GEJ had read history, he would not have been surprised at what's going on today.

Wrong! Stop rewriting history, you bloody, lying Arrow.

1. After the coup in which Igbo officers killed all the Northerners in line for the throne, the Acting President (Nwafor Orizu) refused to swear in Zanna Dipcharima as Prime Minister just because he was from the North. Instead, Orizu chose to hand over power to the military which was headed by Aguiyi Ironsi, a fellow Igbo.

2. When Ironsi took power, instead of executing the coup plotters, he flew them to the East of Nigeria where they were hidden away and kept in relative comfort.

3. The United States, and not the Abdul-Salam led committee, pressured GEJ into conceding with threats of dragging him to the ICCJ if Nigeria went up in flames.

Without rehearsing the already worn out theories as to why the Nigerian government stood bye when millions of innocent and unconnected Igbos were massacred by your kinsmen, you will next tell me that Igbos were singing Ewun'eba akwa song after Sarduana was killed, as a justification for the maasacre, but you know better.
Unfortunately, Ironsi, just like GEJ was oblivious of such trinalistic upside down reasoning.

Tap water is your analogy now? Wonderful!! Please do they build waterworks 600km from its extraction point? Do they also run pipelines from the refinery to you home? It is rather unfortunate that you'll compare tap water and oil just to make an illogical point seem logical. So how do you then transport refined products from Kaduna REFINERY to the FILLING STATION? Pipelines too!! cheesy

I don't know if you've ever done any real business in your life but you sound very naive. America and Canada does not build their refineries 600km away from extraction points, and countries without oil build their refineries close to the sea for easy transport. Petroleum is refined close to its source and transported via pipeline, rails, trucks and boats with pipeline taking short distances while rail does the long haul. Unless it is being transported across border.

Pick up a book and read how sane societies refine and transport petroleum distillates and stop trying to justify stupidity.

Building a refinery in Kaduna and laying pipeline 600km away from the source of extraction was a stupid, irrational and tribalistic political decision. North has been in power far longer... . and Nigeria is so backward largely because of long military rule by northerners who had no good intention for the country but themselves and cronies. The whole system had been repeatedly raped by the north.
