I applied for it too last year, though i didn't get the scholarship due to high competition but I eventually got considered for the admission which also was equally competitive and took GRACE of God (Imagine having a phone call interview for about 1hr via viber/Skype to secure admission).

What I noticed is that some of the courses on DAAD scholarship have very limited spaces. It's a 50-50 thing but i believe if God says it's yours no Jupiter is gonna stop you. So lunch your net into the deep, pray and have faith.

I hope this helps.

Its very easy Man,

This is an excerpt from how my interview went

cc: Babarexo and others having interview with another B.sc...

I went to the embassy with full confidence from God and also had solace in my ability. I was not really moved since I have faced the woman a couple of times especially when I wanted to certify my documents. she yelled at me and ask if I trully wanted to study in germany. The scolding she gave me coupled with her strong face gave ma a hint of what to expect.

Some weeks after, I was there as well for another certification and this time around, I did everything she wanted me to do and at some point, she told me thank you for arranging your documents well.

Fast forward to the interview day..

I walked into the consular presence and was never shaken. She dropped the first question:

Have you learnt German, I told her Yes, and I am still looking to further in the language und so weiter....

When she saw my Bsc certificate, she asked. You studied computer science/mathematics why are you going for another Bschuh huh huh

This was the interview winning question and she was curious on "why" another Bsc.

My Basic response was this:

During my previous study, I was fascinated with Computer Programming Language as well as the way they works, but after the completion of my program (Computer science/maths), I realized the functionality of device depends mostly on other field of engineering, like Electrical Engineering, control engineering for automation, control of devices, mechanical field for fabrications, amongst others. My interest in Mechatronics systems engineering and the decision to further my education in this field is a result of my deep-seated passion for conventional mechanics and engineering. In my college days, I excelled in the field of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry amongst others which is the basic knowledge in natural sciences and are also necessary to excel in the engineering world. after my response, she felt much satisfied with my response and inputted something into the system.

The next question she asked was:

Where do you want to apply your mechatronics knowledge??

I responded with: My love for Drone development has always top the list of my career goals and achievement. coupled with my experience as a programmer which serves as an advantage for programming devices will make it an added advantage. "She cuts in: Please explain more to me like a novice". I now explained what a drone is, types of drones and its functionalities. She was like.. oho a drone, Nice... I kept talking about drone and how it could be used to solve Global terriorism and also its advantage for the Nigeria economy. She cuts in, typed something and moved to the next question.

To cut the long story short:

Try as much as possible to "Interlink" your previous course, work experience (If any) with the current course you are going to study, also ensure you are knowledgeable with the applications and advantage of studying another B.sc.

Germans are not after Age and the only aspect where you may be questioned more will be about your family.

Aside this, you should be fine.

I hope this helps someone..

Congrats to all who have gotten their visas wink wink

Gemeinsam Sind Wir Starke !
NB.
@babarex, it's also possible you'll write a 10' test.

"A man can cannot receive anything except it be given to him from above." John 3:27.

With joy in my heart and with gladness in my mind, I announce to the house that I have finally been given my ticket to book a place on the #TeamWinter2015 BRT Bus cool
O boyh! The wait wasn't easy I tell you.. So this is how it feels to be finally granted visa?
The journey that began in thread 1 and continued to thread 2 has finally come to an end...
I got my DB confirmation last week Wednesday, had done my interview on 6th of July. I couldn't bear the wait any longer and had to send mails to all the e-mails of the alien offices in Hamburg. Alas, an hour thirty minutes later the much awaited e-mail arrived. I couldn't believe my ears nor my eyes. I had to run it through Oye50 to make sure my eyesights were not failing me.

I thank first and foremost the Almighty God, my Oga Eke, my mentor Devmantic, my source of ogbolo inspiration Ahbbiey, our mother Zeeblamj and her namesake ibanj, my realest guyz Dolpaz and Cahnellven, my baddest guy Kennyoguns, my e-fighter Twinkle1 grin , Oye50, Obs3rver, Pompido, Aibee01, Williamso, XpensiveT, mostyg, lmuhopeful, number13, yusufftaiwo, hollaytan, my oga at the top Justwise, my ghost buddy Panzi and his fellow ghost-crew, all our ogas in Germany, Cindino20, styles2009, DANNIEmore, adenjnr, Diamlerbenz, Chief NaijaObi, Nevilbot et al, 2016 visa hopefuls led by the very able hadassaheke and every other person reading this post.

Oh! Finally Finally I can joyfully say that

Once you can defend urself well, the visa will be issued to u. I had similisr issue but than God I scaled through. Had my interview d same day with Obinwan. He even yabed me that I was shaking like an epileptic patience not knowing I an on nairaland. I only told d embassy dat I would be going for the program to enhance my managerial skills to be able to run my family business, which led them to mail me requesting for the CAC of the business. But thank God I scaled through

babarexo:
Thanks Bro.

Studying Environmental and resource management from undergraduate level will give me a firm grip of the study area or course in other to tackle environmental related issues plaguing my community in Delta state and help manage diverse resources of the area.Recent happenings like incessant oil spill prompted my applicationsince a basic and a foreign degree in this field will help alleviate the suffering of the region after my course when I put my knowledge into use.

My family will remain in Nigeria since I hope to return as my wife is currently working and I will sure visit during holidays.

Daimlerbenz and others kindly understudy my answer to see if it suffice.

Thanks

Oh, ok but check very well cos when the chips are down it might eventually surface. And yes, i have about 6years working experience, presently in a supervisory role in an energy ( oil & gas) company and I submitted a recommendation/introduction letter from the HR of my company aside one from my school HOD. GPA too is good, 2.25 (german conversion) from premier university in Nig.
I also submitted ielts result of 6.5 and some international program certificates I've on climate change & energy. I'm going for M.Eng Energy & Environmental Management.

@Obiwann, you can use d form given by Pompey4 although you might need to check with your course if it's supported by DAAD scholarship as not all courses are and i understand you already have an admission. However, you can go for your present program and after for next year's edition.

Cheers
