Yeah, that's true. But sometimes it gets tricky because certain things are not allowed to be discussed in some cultures. Like I had a friend from the Pedi tribe & their girls go to these "getaways" when they reach a certain age. I heard that they're taught how to please a man/future husband, sexually. So anyway this girl, my friend, one day let it slip that she also went there. When I asked if the rumour is true or not, she neither confirmed or denied, just told me they're not allowed to discuss that part of their culture with strangers or people who've never been to such a place.
