My dad bought two plot of land @okota area in lagos in the 70's for 150naira...he tried locating the place abt 8 yrs ago,,he couldnt...till this date,the documents of the land is till intact....he said he bought the land,not coz he needed it,but bcause it was cheap and his friend pressured him to buy....buhari having a piece of land somewhere and claims he couldnt locate it ,is not news to a sane nigerian...,.only for the wailers.. 5 Likes |

It's very possible especially if the said plot has been acquired many years ago before the birth of modern technology. People of Indomie Generation cannot have an idea how transactions and documentations were done in the 70s and 80s let alone in 60s. If Buhari had any sinister motive, his asset declaration, irrespective of what he actually owns will read something like this: 1. 800 million naira in an unnamed account/bank 2. 10 plots of land Rivers (still trying to locate it). To have declared just N30 million naira and five bungalow houses across Nigeria is surely a disappointment for TANoids and wailers who had hoped the man is stupendously rich I am sure there are Nairalanders who can match Buhari in wealth going by this declaration. Very possible. Do you expect a man that retired to his country home in faraway Daura since 1985 (or 1988) to be monitoring a piece of land in Port Harcourt? How many former heads of state or presidents retired to places other than their states of origin or a nearby one? The land could even be a gift. |
