Fellow programmers,please I need your contributions on this topic.Am new in programming and just encountered some problems trying to run emulator from my android studio project.
The actual problem is that I have been trying to install the "Intel x86 Emulator Accelerator (HAXM installer)" but each time i open the sdk manager, it brings only the installed packages and no uninstalled package. Your urgent contributions will be highly appreciated because there are still several packages that i must install before i can continue with my project but which are missing from the list of the "installed packages" in my sdk manager.

Why not just use android studio jejely without all these damn bugs.

You need to answer many questions:
1. Where is the screenshot of the software
2. What type of setup are you using? Like what version if it is eclipse. There are many ways of writing android
3. What are your system specs? what version of windows, 32bit or 64 bits (or 128bits like mine)

Then and then, maybe we can find an answer to your question. Your post lacks a lot of details, but lets start from here.

This is the screenshot I've been seeing in my sdk manager.
1. I use Android studio NOT eclipse
2. my system's OS is Windows 7/32 bit, 3GB RAM

What version of android studio are you using? I am an android studio user myself and never experienced that problem.

Advice, if that emulator is going to be the problem. You can go other routes:

I have all the following emulators on my system:
1. Bluestacks
2. Andy
3. Genymotion
4. Xamarin player
5. and one or two others i cant remember their names

But if i were in your shoes, i will just uninstall the android studio completely (including the sdks and all the settings). And download a fresh copy of android studio.

And they all work well with Android studio.

I've even downloaded the new android studio marshmallow bt its still same old story. My problem is not actually with the emulator but i'll still have to download some APIs because I want to incorporate google maps in the appplication that am developing.Still expecting more contributions.

I dont know what to say again o. Seek the expert nearest to you.

I faced this same problem some weeks ago, although I can't remember specifically how I was able to circumvent the problem, but I know I kept on refreshing the SDK manager. Maybe you should start with that, and make sure you have a strong internet connection.

Now that you mention it. I remember too a long time back when i had that same challenge, it turned out the internet i was using had a firewall that was blocking the sdk manager updates.
