Am saying I may not understand fully Romans 8:26 but that don't mean I will latch onto any interpretation of the same. I can outrightly rule out some

Sounds logical except Christianity is a walk and life of faith not sight. Have you been to heaven? Have you met Jesus yet? Must we meet Jesus to 'understand' Christianity?

Am sorry I offended you sir. Thank you for your time , much appreciated that you took your time and shared your faith sir. May the Lord increase you and in you.

What has been preserved and passed down to us for 2000 years is the scriptures not subjective experiences

That's why scriptures come first
.
you seem neither hot nor cold, a previous poster made some statements based on scriptures which you discarded. what are the basis of your faith/Christianity?

Uninterpreted tongues have no room in public worship. That's pretty clear. There are two solutions
1. Get interpretation
2. Pray/speak at home
You've made a very simple valid biblical point in the word of God and that's simple. If anyone has contrary opinion or tradition, we, the church of God doesn't have such practice. Anyone who cannot understand the above statement should go back to the word and find out if this is true or false. Thank you!

God bless you Goshen360,
If you attend a church that flagrantly flouts Holy Spirit operational manual for His gifts, the best way is to repent and stop, not to defend your errors with fickle arguments. It is to God we stand or fall not out General Overseer
