This xiaomi is really complicating the whole matter, flash this flash that on a new phone, I think Meizu m2 note is a better deal, with long lasting battery compared to this dummy looking phone with no attention to designs.

What a fugly phone!
Don't mind them with all these flashing things and recovery mode (whatever they mean), however, I don't think Meizu M2 note is a better deal. 1.3ghz processor, second SIM using sd card slot are deal breakers.

Forget about the clocked speed, MT6795 Helio X10 is of three different versions, Xiaomi redmi note 2 is probably using the cheaper version that smokes battery like chimney.
In other hand Meizu m2 note with its 1.3ghz processor couple with IGZO capacitive screen is crispy and battery friendly, hence the 9.5 it scored on Phonearena battery test.
An average user will not even notice the speed difference on the both devices.

Oh really?? What about the absence of FM radio?, what about the 2nd SIM using sd card slot? Meizu m2 note scored 32,050 pnts on Antutu benchmarks while Xiaomi RN2 scored over 47,000 pnts, how about that if the click speed and Helio x10 meant almost nothing? and of course Meizu is more expensive.

Higher Antutu score does not automatically translate to 'better performance', Second SIM card and FM radio are gimmicks to me, I can't remember the last time I listing to FM... Meizu m2 note is cheaper at N41k compared to N45k of this Xiaomi.

Xiaomi redmi note 2 is better than this device. Meizu note 2 performed below expectation.

Do you really have redmi note 2?

I hope you didn't mean any of the things you just said now esp that 2nd SIM and FM radio are gimmicks. Anyways, you said they are gimmicks to you but unfortunately they are not gimmicks to me.

Second Sim card might be a gimmick to YOU,but there are many among US it's an ESSENTIAL part of OUR consideration before buying any phone..

Dialling #*#*3646633#*#* will take you straight into MTK engineering mode.

Mobile uncle works flawlessly on the RN2.

You can use UC browser on phone or DAP/IDM on PC.

You can alternatively download the Unofficial ROMS developed by Xiaomi EU. They offer multilanguage ROMS and absence of Chinese bloatware. RAM management is also improved.

The nickname for the Redmi Note 2 is Hermes and the version number signifies the date of release e.g version 5.9.11 was released on the 11th of September 2015.

Is gapps pre installed on the Hermes rom?
