raayah:you misunderstood that line read it again. Her husband never maltreated her, he was a calm man, but She was taking advantage of his calmness to nag always, one day, the man mistakenly hit her, that's what the woman was telling her daughter, that her husband is a gentleman, but She should not take undue advantage of his calmness, your parents case is totally different from this storyline |

raayah:here are the lines daughter, you see this your husband?pay attention to the emboldened parts the woman clearly acknowledged that she was at fault, she has been acting that way, but the man used to tolerate her. but She went too far that day and the man mistakenly hit him, unexpectedly, she also said that was the only time her husband had laid hands on her. This is reality, not trying to fantasize perfection. She made her points very clear. Am not supporting any form of maltreatment, but this is real, mistakes could happen and the woman clearly stated that she was at fault hence advising her daughter not to take advantage of his husband's calmness, her point is very clear |

raayah:The men are two different people my dear, Your mothers husband is abusive and not a gentle man, he beats your mother all the time. But The advisers husband is a gentle man, he does not hit a lady, the adviser only did something wrong and dared him,not just once, but countless times, and d man made a mistake of doing what he regretted ever doing, and dat is hitting her once. he never did that again. The adviser knew it was her fault, thus, advising the dota never to tow the same part she towed which warranted her getting that mark. My take is dis, do your part and leave d rest to God. I am not saying that women should not leave an abusive marriage. But u are only trying to paint the advisers point of view bad, which is very wrong. Your mothers case is different from the advisers case. The adviser, never advised her dota to stay in an abusive marriage, she only advised her NOT TO BRING the beast out of a GENTLE husband. D adviser only brought out d beast in her husband, but your own mothers husband is already a beast. And that is two different things and scenerios and should not be judged as same. Please give credit to good works and not tarnish it with an entirely different version of another story. And many other people and ladies, who are not ready to be a good wife "Liked" d post. NAIRALANDERS,please, stop taking advices from anyone that grew up in a broken home. They are devilish and I don't blame them because it is never there fault. |

raayah:Im really sorry about your mum having to go thru this. God knows its the most unkind thing a man can do to someone he calls his partner. Much as we would like to blame him this story i beg to say is one sided. Women can be a real pain in the brain when they want to be. Being insensitive to your husband to the extent of this, seriously it takes two. You sha wont come and say there was nothing between both of them when they decided to tie the knot? Did the man just wake up one day and decided to start beating the woman? Besides love and money i think marriage quotes carry the most advises given to anyone - i stand corrected. If both parties understood and accepted they were both responsible for the break down to this point, trust me this wouldnt be an issue. You honestly think theres any couple that doesnt have their own fair share of issues and challenges? Sure blame it on the man afterall hes the head. When the bible says it is better to stay in the corner of a roof than with a nagging woman, did you think it was just to make the pages full? Once again i apologize for the way things went with her, but if you as a person dont begin to address these issues and have a better understanding with a clear view of marital values, its only going to repeat the cycle again with you, im sorry to say. Please understand i do not say these things to spite or anger you, but if it takes just this to help you realise the steps youre taking as unfair to even yourself please let it be. You think shes happy having to return dowry and stuff? Think about this deeply. You cant go into marriage with this psyche itll destroy a lot of things. |

raayah:I was thinking of replying but what I can see is you're looking at this through heavily tinted glasses and no matter what anyone says, your opinion would not shift one bit. It's obvious that you do not know the effects of verbal abuse and think guys should be robots that can handle "stereotypical nagging women" without any display of emotion... |

Why won't the husband give her uppercuts? If she can dish out this kind of foolishness to her daughter you can imagine the foolishness she would have displayed in the marriage. The husband has my utmost support. No be only mark, he should have broken her cockroach bones, and saved us from her foolishness. Nansense! |
