Northern Christians need a much stronger unity, love and more emphasis on evangelism, without which, hardline islamists like Elrufai, et al will always have reasons and excuses to bring down churches and scuttle their spread.

The Governor has NO business with the internal wrangling of the Church that is even before the Supreme Court. All he needed was to put security in check and arrest any troublemaker for breach of public peace. What he did amount to infringement. As for Kaduna CAN, it is a BIG shame that they don't understand what is at stake. A more Bigger shame to the two warring businessmen called Pastors

its a lie. Nowhere wud ve gone up in any flames! If for instance there is a muslim org that is having such crisis in a state like Enugu, such that it about to lead to a brake down of law and order. And d gov decides to take action nobdy will raise an eye brow! Somtime ago in Lagos a Christian judge issued a ban on hijab in public schools aand nobdy burnt anywhere! The muslims are quitely pursuing the mata in court! U chistians shud jus shut u trap jare!

Any female mohammedan who wants to wear a hijab should go to makaranta Islamiyya. An Iman doesn't expect to receive any stipend for being an Imam, rather he gives from his hard earned income to poor members of his congregation in the form of Zakat! That is Islam! What stops the governor from arresting the warring parties if he feels that they're breaching the peace of the state or community? Is the feuding pastors now bigger than the entire church, the body of Christ?

What muslims would or would not do is not the issue here. The issue is that there is a persistent internal crisis within the chuirch that was threatening the peace of the immediate community. CAN itself could not halt the lingering crisis so the security council recommended closure to forestall breakdown of law and order.

This is proactive governance, and I quite understand that the PDP, being reactionary, would've allowed a descent to chaos before it attempted to take any actions.

But then, your quest to be a perpetual Nairaland nuisance supersedes logic and reason.

He wasn't being sarcastic oo. EdCure is a progressive that dislikes Islam.

I don't know about others, but never a day in my church has my pastor ever advised us to hate a people for any reason. He always does what he can to promote love, unity, tolerance and accommodation. But just like Edcure, I reserve the right to love and hate whoever I chose to- but I can't hate someone for reason of their religious or cultural persuasion.

God help us.
