The 11th All African Games came to a close on Saturday night in Congo Brazzaville, with Team Nigeria clinching the second position in the overall medals table.

At the close of competitive games on Friday night, Nigeria had pushed South Africa to the third position having won 47 gold medals.
On the final medals table, Egypt emerged overall best with a total of 217 medals.

The breakdown shows 85 gold, 64 silver and 68 bronze medals.

South Africa came third with a total of 122 medals – 41 gold, 41 silver and 40 bronze medals.
Interestingly, the final total medals won by Team Nigeria could not be ascertained as at the time of filling this report.

However, as at Friday night, Nigeria had garnered a total of 144 medals and a couple of medals were still won on Saturday prior to the closing ceremony.
The closing ceremony, held at Sports Complex at Kintele, Brazzaville, was fantastic even though almost marred by heavy rain.

nigerian men won only 2 bronze medals.With their protruded bellies it ain't surprising
All the rest were won by their women.
But seriously nigerian women looks like men so it ain't surprising as well.

Winning 10 Gold (women) and they were given $2,500 Bonus.,,
Our men didn't really perform well

Our cyclists (women) won Gold,,Our men didn't really perform well.

OKE won Gold in Men's triple Jump category

Esther Onyeama one of our Powerlifters who won Gold and broke world record..

Bàbá Buhari thank you for uniting this Country. Every section of the country represented and did well, from Yeebhoe people to Yoruba people to Awusa people, all did well.
