Right thinking, identify a problem, provide solution and earn money.

However, it's not a problem of purification of well water, but availability. Because our water table is deep, Well dry up in Dry season.

Nonetheless, it's still boils down to purification and circulation. Enugu has some streams and Rivers, these waters can be fed into purification plants and circulated especially to the new areas of developments in Enugu. Those areas don't have water system.

These things can be privatised but government would hold onto them just to perpetuate their corruption.

How can we make the best use of our large urban population? What products can we aim to manufacture that can be useful to many, solve environmentally unique problems and yet keep the inventor in the profit, I have an idea......

In Achara layout, as in most parts of Enugu urban water is a problem, boreholes are not cheap or reliable and even wells are not lasting enough. What can we do about the water situation? Is it not possible to locally develop a technology that purifies well water so it could be potable?

That's business strategy. But some people believe it has to be in Lagos, Abuja, kano, Port Harcourt before it will survive.

Dangote has investments in every part of Nigeria except East. He isn't a fool, why then should Igbos make fool of themselves...

Someone with a good business sense can reap good profits from building a large shopping mall in Abakpa Nike areas, this will cater for residents of Abakpa, Trans Ekulu and Nike towns. Even, people traveling to Nsukka through Nike can stop and stock up on needed supplies.

How best can we make all these good opinions work for us? HOW?

I know if there's a will, there's a way. We can make this happen if we can agree on a particular thing here and one of us get to write a convincing article and spread it to people in their communities. It will be a gradual process of re-educating them and letting them see reasons on why these things have to be done like this or that way. Little by little, we will make them realise what we can do. Then we will start sending messages to the government house. Create economic seminar on a large scale, inviting different CEO's and governors of the five states.

Many things can be done with print media. Its cheap and can go far if utilised very well. Everyday, if we share articles on things like this, they'll be pushed to ask "how", we will tell them what to do.

Spyder, the answer to your question is very simple. "BUILD A RESERVOIR."

Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Nobody: 12:48am On Sep 25, 2015
I will give you a step by step summary on how to accomplish this.

1) Build a reservoir: A reservoir is a man made body of water solely for the purpose of storing water.
2) Channel the city drainage system to the reservoir to supply rain water.
3) Build a water treatment plant next to the reservoir.
4) Supply the treated water through network of pipes to neighboring homes and communities.

Was it a direct flight from Adis Ababa using Ethiopian Airline?
The reason why I am asking is that I heard a rumour that ET no longer fly to Enugu airport directly from Adis Abbaba...they drop you off at Lagos or Abuja and then you enter Arik to Enugu. Can someone please confirm this.

What about Eastern Shop at Asata along Ogui Road opposite Stadium, what are they doing while Roban stores is opening outlets everywhere.

Roban Stores should come to Asaba joor, they reap it more than anybody

If Eastern shop did not misbehave but going to sleep on the saddle, Shoprite would not have made a big bang when they took the city by storm. The management of Eastern shop needs vibrant executives who understands shopping business. Being at a good site is useless if you have no stock.

Why doesn't Dangote invest in the South East?

The simple answer is that it is the most competitive region in Nigeria.

What are Dangote's main businesses? Cement and commodities.

Ebonyi has about 720 million tons of limestone, but Ibeto has locked that in. He's unlikely to be able to compete with Ibeto here. Ask yourself, is there any Yoruba man competing with Dangote in the cement business? Any Kogi or Benue person? No.

Consider Rice, Dangote has rice farms in Edo and Sokoto. Doesn't really have a competitor, but when you get to the rice growing region on Anambra, you already have the likes of Coscharis there. Why would he want extra competition?

Even before Portharcourt is fully conquered, some cowards who call themselves "Igbos" are already ceding it(and may cede more territories in the future) to rivals from Europe and Northern Nigeria due to emotional reasons (and not because of the truth). They use useless emotional excuses like "but they say they're not igbos" "we should let them decide what tribe they what to be".
You guys are BIG bisgrace .

When it comes to hot politic and war,Ndiigbo must throw their Republican crap on the floor and crush them into pieces otherwise we will keep losing important Wars and territories to our enemies. Let our "never say never" patriots fight in
tough time while we continue to "repulicanate" when thing are calm.

Now is tough for Ndi igbo.

Well its true, SE is the onlly region in Nigeria where the natives control 90% of the economic activities.

Imagine in Benue they couldn't raise a billionaire that will be exploiting their solid minerals.

In Kogi an outsider is mining the minerals.

In Edo State outsider.

In ogun state outsider

Its only in Igboland that natives dominate both primary, secondary and tertiary industry.

Igbo wealth is in the hands of Igbos aswell.

I am quoting figures from the Geological Survey.

The British were not stupid to establish coal mines in Enugu and a cement factory at Nkalagu.

We have been stupid ever since, allowing all this mineral wealth to lie fallow.

Read this. What this guy wrote is a reflection of the feelings of other Nigerians about Igbos. If you ask him the domineering attitude he will not be able to explain but I know from experience that it is high presence of Igbos and there being ever ready to buy land and build in host community.

https://www.nairaland.com/2623993/igbos-liability-nigeria

How come amongst the ethnic groups that are usually
attacked in the north, why is it that igbos are mainly
attacked? This is due to their domineering attitude, urge
to dominate other ethnic groups and the lack of respect
they have for the host community of anywhere they find
themselves. For instance, let's use Lagos as a case
study. Lagos is the home of Yoruba/Awori/Ijebu people
and even when lagos was conquered by the British in
1861 from King Kosoko was it an igbo territory? Was the
name Kosoko an igbo name? Were they any igbo
indigenous communities in lagos then? If No, why call a
man's land no man's land? Can a yoruba, edo, urhobo or
hausa call any part of igboland no man's land simply cos
he was allowed to thrive in that land?

So only Igbos are attacked in North, Abagworo your very mischievous to be sincere, all these attacks chino are doing to you on daily basis is becoming justified.

Igbos are attacked in North just like every other people in North even Yoruba muslims suffer more attacks in North that Igbos do but Igbos will always prove that the blood of every Igbo shouldn't be wasted in vain.

During 2011 electoral violence didn't yorubas opened threads mocking Igbos over NYSC killing but when the list came out Igbos donated 3 victims, Yorubas 3, Akwa Ibom 1, Ijaw 1, Plateau 1, Taraba 1 but today Igbos are still asking for justice for those slain NYSC members.

Now why is it that whenever there attack in North that East always show reprisal why others don't , do you think that what happened in June 1993 will just go like that if Igbos were to be victims.

All the Fulani herdsmen propagating pogrom in NC are they killing Igbos, what about daily ransack of SW by the same Fulani are they killing Igbos but once it happen in East the communities will mobilize and attack them aswell because Igbos no what it meant to kill one Igbo.

Mr man anybody can hate Igbos but none can do without Igbos, anti-America sentiment is more popular in the Arab world but the same Arabs are the biggest trade partners of America, they also receive US charity aids like Emeka Offor and Ebonyi state government are eradicating polio and hunger in North despite them hating Igbos they still can't do without Igbo magnanimity.

Igbos know it takes to kill an average Igbo that is why we always show how pained we are not that we are the most killed because minority tribes and christian communities in North are not forth coming with their victims list.
