The meeting at which Nigeria was reportedly absent was not one the official events of the United Nations for which President Muhammadu Buhari and his modest delegation are in New York.

While the meeting referred to in media reports is commendable, it was not the only one or the most important of such meetings in New York that are paying attention to the problem of insecurity, migration and violent extremism in the Lake Chad area and the rest of the world

Tell me which part you lot don't understand, or which part you understand more from the comfort/discomfort of your homes thousands of miles away.

Like I said earlier, "opinions are like arm pits, everyone has them --- and most of them stink".

Happy?

An insurgency is ongoing in Nigeria, there's a so called'anti graft ' war, there are numerous economic realities ppl are facing in view of the falling global oil prices, there's the major burden of the IDPs.......... AND he's going on about HIV and eradicating world hunger.

Laughable.

This trip, if not careful, won't achieve much f d country...
But, if y'all are happy sha..... undecided

Time shall tell is a lazy incompetent man's prayer.

We need no mirror to see what is on the wrist.
It is staring you in the face.

Even the UN said they were "disappointed" the man did not attend.
So in essence Buhari is a "disappointment" to the world!
Re: Buhari Explains Why He Missed A Meeting On Boko Haram At The UN by Nobody: 7:49am On Sep 27, 2015
The "leanest" delegation comes with its own price... Anyway, I am not disappointed because I never saw the greatness of PMB and I didn't vote for him so I will not complain. grin those who voted him in love him like that and will never see any wrong in what he did ,so it's counterproductive having these arguments.
Change has come and in the next few years we all will sink or swim with it. tongue

OboloMAN:

Disappointing response from the Presidency.

Who are the worst hit by Boko haram? #Nigerians

Who are the most internally displaced? #Nigerians

Who will benefit most from the said Funds? #Nigerians

Who was unavoidably Absent from the meeting? #Nigeria.

Conclusion: The Government does not see the issue of ending Boko haram and caring for the internally displaced as a Priority.

Last year, I argued with you that GEJ was not the devil you called him, you said no.
Today, you say GEJ and Buhari are both equally bad, I say no
Tomorrow, you will understand that Buhari is many times worse than GEJ, I hope your eyes will open and you'll say yes!

Err, GEJ was probably not the devil but he surrounded himself with devilish folks. Evidently, he's guilty by association, hence he never achieved anything and he'll forever remain the worst leader to ever rule a country.

Buhari on the other hand has GEJ-esque demeanour when it comes to international politics...both lack presence and the required communication skills. They're also indecisive, lack charisma, and always seem to get carried away and star struck everywhere they go, while scheming for inconsequential photo-ops with vampires that won't benefit anyone.

As for national governance - the jury is still out on Buhari and he still has a long way to go, though he started poorly. GEJ stunk up the place during his tenure and took naij 200 years backward.

Please, my critique is about international engagements.

GEJ government spread development strides allover Nigeria equally even more in areas that did not give him votes. He had representation of every region and gender in his appointments, these consideration present a certain encompassing roundness.

first off iweala was from delta state SS and Allison madueke was from bayelsa SS. please tell us how the igbo hijacked GEJ government? are you saying other regions where marginalized or is your opinion premised on somebody else,s uninformed imagination? could there be a more extreme nepotic tendency as one who made his inlaw the chairperson of INEC? and his friends and brothers key officials in a National government? or even locking out the Vice president from key meetings? not to mention his 5% speech.

In as much as GEJ had his short comings he was a GOOD MAN with good intentions and by far a better choice to what we have today. Classing him with PMB is a great injustice.

Lol. What developmental strides are you alluding to, in a country where there's non-existent infrastructures and no institutions? Heck, the whole country looks like a place just recovering from a brutal civil war - with a few folks living large in big gated houses, and the overwhelming majority in abject poverty. Even the military which is the easiest to fund during a war-time situation, which naij was perpetually in during GEJ's tenure, with boko haram, looks like a glorified militia group carrying around obsolete weapons. Can you even point to one significant project that GEJ started and completed during his tenure?

You mean the same Iweala, the Finance Minister cum coordinator of the economy and Prime Minister, who made sure everyone in-charge of the financial arm of GEJ's was Igbo - apart from Segun Aganga - isn't a nepotistic Igbo? - hysterical. Pray tell how she isn't Igbo. Anyway, she has been rewarded handsomely by the powers that be for destroying naija and selling you and ya children into financial slavery. Apart from being a rabid bigot - she's also an economy hit-woman. They're all the same - I just don't have time to analyse how nepotistic GEJ's tenure was. I'll leave that to those who get paid for championing political parties and politicians.

There was nothing good about GEJ - he's a plonker and he still has blood on his hands for how he handled the boko haram problem and all the Nigerian folks that died due to extreme poverty during his tenure.

In decision making, you make priorities in competing attention. Is that too hard to understand?

Is their any reason why you don't qualify as an empty sycophant given this statement of yours?

1)Do you know what it means to send delegates to important events to represent your interest?

2)How come other African countries were represented?

3)How come discussing HIV/AIDS was more important than discussing boko haram to you and buhari?

4)How come meeting king of Spain, having meeting with OBJ on politics was more important than sending delegates to such meeting as this?
And I hope you are the one teaching him to do that before,,,Mr I too know

Sometimes I think social media accounts should be opened with national ID numbers and details. Let's know who the kids are, I'm sure people will contribute more cautiously.
