Magic:
1. The use of rituals or actions, especially based on supernatural or occult knowledge, to manipulate or obtain information about the natural world, especially when seen as falling outside the realm of religion; also the forces allegedly drawn on for such practices.

2.A specific ritual or procedure associated with supernatural magic or with mysticism; a spell

Miracle :
1.A wonderful event occurring in the physical world attributed to supernatural powers.
Many religious beliefs are based on miracles.
An example of a miracle associated with Muhammad is the splitting of the moon.

2.A fortunate outcome that prevails despite overwhelming odds against it.

You have to differentiate between the two.
good!

First note that magic can be used for fun while miracles were not for fun. secondly, magic is a tool of deception while miracles were/are used to teach spiritual lessons E.G Elijah at mount Carmel. Third magic isn’t “real.” When a magician makes a woman “disappear,” she doesn’t really disappear into thin air. But miracles were real—very real! When Moses stretched his rod across the Red Sea and caused the waters to part so the Israelites could walk across on dry land, it was no trick.

the bottom line is this. Magic are magic...... done to entertain while miracles are divine manifestation on the power of a supreme being.

Is it not getting obvious that our faith is getting weaker by the break of every dawn.

Our Thomas nature should be on crime, politics et al instead of the scriptures.
Even Gideon in judges chapter 6 had his own questions. We are asking questions to know more about God and move closer to him.

@OP are u asking Christians or athiests? As a Christian my religion is based on faith, something an atheist will not have the privilege of understanding.

Of cause it really happened, there's no logic behind my belief rather there's faith that it did.
Faith is made stronger when we find answers to our questions instead of burying them.

Faith is indeed made whole through doubt (mcfynest cheesy )

So 5000 silly people decided to follow jesus without going with their own lunch pack except for the little boy. Clap for yourself!  angryThis can only happen in the era were there were no cameras, no twitter nor facebook, no Linda Ikeji  tongue, no smartphones, no James Randi, heck Criss Angel performs better magic tricks tongue and the only back up to the story is the bible. So little or none of this ''wonderful miracle'' is mentioned by the great rulers and historians except the bible. Yeah, spiderman and thor exist, check marvel comics  for proof!  undecided

On a realistic discussion level, I will go with it just being an allegory.
Am thinking it is allegorical.

Thanks sis, I know it is logical, but in the first place atheist will contest the line of thought. They don't believe God exists talk less of creating the world. May I ask why you believe He created the world? I know your answer already and it is based on faith.
Am a christian sis. Atheist believe that God (a supreme being) exist. Anyone who claims to be an atheist but doesnt do believe in that is a leaner.... I have been there...

Congratulations in your sincerity and humility for asking for understanding, rather than pontificate, as is the norm amongst christians.

If all christians aproached scriptures in this manner, they would actually learn something about their religion and leave us with less to mock.

I have addressed this topic before, and will do it again.

Jesus was a member, likely a leader of the ESSENE THERAPUTATE, an elite sect that were mainly healers as well as priests.
Based on acheological discoveries of Essene literatures in their mountain fortress at Massada (which they curious called "The Kingdom Of Heaven"wink, the essenes, also being a resistance movement to Roman occupation, communicated in codes.

During many of sermons, Jesus would first say, "to those who have ears, let them hear", as a way of drawing the attention of his Essene brethren to pay attention to his coded speech.

Jesus was born at the beginning of the age of Pisces, the fish.

In Essene nomenclature, the fish represented knowledge and wisdom, of which Jesus, their leader was the figurehead, the Fisher King.

It makes sense that nearly of Jesus senior disciples were fishermen, and that he pledged to make them fishers of men.

Now, ask yourself, what are the two basic things that Miraculously seem to multiply the more you share them?
They are knowledge (light) , wisdom and love.

So, Jesus simply shared knowledge and wisdom, as represented by the Fish inside the Bread to the multitudes, who were hungry for spiritual sustenance.

That is the lesson being communicated by that scripture, and similar scriptures can also be understood in their proper context if Essene nomenclature is applied.

let me explain it in lay mans terms. there was a revival atmosphere and alot of people were being preached to and got converted. and not only did many people get converted, many of those who got converted started converting other spiritually dead people too. thats the simplified explanation of feeding the multitude with loaves and 2 fishes and having many baskets left over. hope this simplified explanation meets your approval wink

Why is it difficult for you to believe that the earth was created by natural means, but is easy to believe that God came out of nothing?

The formation of the sun is very well known. In fact by 2025, we will finish completing our own mini-sun on earth.

The formation of the earth is also well known. It is a form of fractional distillation. In fact, unlike what genesis 1 claims, when earth was newly formed, it had no water at all. It was a completely dry ball. water . . . arrived later.

The life forms you see now, developed over billions of years.

It's all really easy to explain with science. And because of this, we have started replicating these phenomena.

What will you people then say when we recreate everything God is said to have created. huh

Don't forget according to the bible, earth was created on the first day along with day and night..

And then the sun (Parent star of earth and cause of day and night) was created on the fourth day..

How can day and night be before the sun exactly. . .shows you whoever wrote this knows nothing about the solar system at all...

Absolutely nothing, that person wrote from an understanding view point of a primitive man who had no telescope or knew the sun and other stars was actually too big for the earth..

And 21st century modern beings who know that the sun is the cause of day and night, the planets and stars form as a result of the action of gravity on matter..

are abandoning this verified knowledge in order to hold still to some ridiculous postulations of ancient men that goes contrary to what is..

This again is how "Faith" is both a dangerous and dishonest thing to possess..

now lets get to the koko of the matter. you have to understand that the bible has astro-theological foundations meaning that everything in the universe including us humans are coded into the bible. now the verse about the bread is straight-forward because there is a verse in the bible which tells you bread means the word. now with the two fishes is a zodiacal representation of pisces which pisces represents wisdom knowledge and understanding of the celestial kind meaning ' the word '. so basically a multitude of people were preached to is what that story represents. now the success rate at this revival was so great that the converts went out to try to convert other people >>> ' the converts became fishers of men. i shall make you fishers of men '. the converts becoming fishers of men is what is presented as ' they all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over '. and what that means is that the word was multiplied because there were many more people spreading the word now. so that what this means >>> ' they all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over ' .

so the bible is a book that is not meant to be read literally. almost nothing in the bible is literal reading. there is a deeper meaning behind everything.
Precept upon Precept sire. waoh! 'm just seeing this. Yes, I understand the white propaganda of Jesus identity. Just wanted to use it to grab people's attention.

Not just Nigerians, its everyone. No one will believe you when you say Jesus was black. Since there were not many scriptures that talked about it. Except once in Revelation and maybe in acts of the apostle. I can remember now.

However, i think it doesnt matter. We need the content and not the container. We need the word.
