People with inferiority complexes, are the ones who go to such length to prove a point that isn't needed. I am me and I do me. I got nobody to prove a point to.

I even sent her a PM once angry embarassed (I'm female btw). Chai! Probably she is just way too emotional.

howdy fellow food heads?? I just cooked eggs following the guidelines from this thread

https://www.nairaland.com/2615185/tried-making-own-golden-eggs

I followed all of op's instructions to the letter. OP described it and even attached a pic that looks like an egg that a bite of can cure all the life problems and ailments of an able bodied man. but Alas!! how wrong I was? sad

I placed the egg in the centre of the computer stockings I used to do primary six (which I kept as a souvenir for nmeri17's children and grandchildren) and relentlessly spun the "nylon" like a female cheerleader angry after spinning and winding and flinging, I had to visit the basement of my comPAND since that's the darkest and gloomiest abyss where I could do that stupid torch test undecided

I came back upstairs and cooked the egg but not without addition of salt as a precautionary measure to avoid the egg cracking. the salt I added was even more than the food I was gonno eat it with cry

immediately I saw the first one looking like the graphic pics of boko haram victims, I cracked the other one small to see if I got lucky with one at least sad sad embarassed

after it was all over, I came back to notice the egg in the pic isn't even Nigerian -- neither is the hand holding it
CONCLUSION
trying to cook a meal any object based on some nairaland thread is tantamount to disastrous consequences

Beans and yam/potato, plantain pottage etc,
chronique:
I need help on the combinations of healthy foods that I can cook and eat week-in,week-out,without having to repeat certain meals over and over again. Presently,I have only 4 types of soup that I cook(okro, ogbono, egusi and vegetable). And I eat them with fufu, semo, wheat or poundo yam. Aside these, the other meals I cook often are rice, noodles and spaghetti(I don't like them;just eat them to put something in the stomach). What other meals can I add to my menu? When advising, kindly take into consideration the fact that I only have sundays to do any serious cooking. Thanks.

And I'm quite embarrassed @ the chick who got bursted lifting images of cooked foods from facebook to post here, just to feel superfly. There's nothing that beats being real and truthful to yourself and keeping it real. The fact that people post pics of various intercontinental dishes, doesn't mean they have better lives than you. Just be contented with what you have, and do you(be yourself). When you start lying, you'd need several other lies to keep it up.

Okay remove the beans then. Plain porridge can be very nice too with lots of veggie leaves.
What of Banga soup, or the Igbo variation ofe akwu? You can use it to eat rice or fufu.
What of Yam and egg sauce/plain stew?

So where do you reside?, let me know what more to suggest based on my experience.

I'm in naija. I won't be able to dedicate much time to cooking as such, and do not think oi can cope with making banga soup. It's a lot of work. Just a list of food combinations a bachelor can make do with without too much stress. Thanks.

I don't know what else to suggest.
Most of them that I know would still be considered stressful since banga is stressful.
Like edikaikong or afang.

What about oha soup? With whole wheatmeal fufu? That's a bit easier than those other ones.

I'd suggest you load up and mixed veggies, eggs and meat/fish. (If you have electricity to keep them safe)
That way, you can make simple dinners of steak, eggs and veggies sometimes. That's healthy and easy to make.

Try fish peppersoup too. It's not hard to make.
Look recipes up on http://www.allnigerianrecipes.com/soups/

With basic stuff, you can add one a two tweaks at different times and come up with something somewhat different than the last meal.

If you really want that variety, you'll have to dedicate more time to the kitchen. It's not easy.

You can do takeout too if you don't have time to cook always.

Add sandwiches to the mix as breakfast some times. Easy to make.
