When the 'leanest delegations' to the UN in history was being used to score a political point, little attention was paid to the roles of those delegations.

Prof Joy Ogwu is one of the brightest minds Nigeria has in international diplomacy. Her works as a diplomat and as an academic at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs are stellar.

International diplomacy operates on rules and protocols. If Buhari decides to suspend those rules and attempts to write his own (as he has done with the Nigerian constitution in the past 3 months) whose fault is that?

The UN does not operate on Buhari's terms, he should be told to forget his 18th century Caliphate governance model, it won't work in this 21st century. "No one sends him at the UN". They don't give a damn about any 'Mohammadu in town'.

Even if you remove the lady and replace her with Yusuf Buhari, the UN would still not recognize Muhammadu Buhari's 'body language'.

If some of these journalists have listened to Femi Adesina spoke, they wouldn't at any instance seek for innocent heads to roll out of sentiments or hatred for the person in charge. The S.A to the president said that the said meetings which has caused public uproar or termed "failure of the UN ambassador or inefficiency of Buhari or un-seriousness of the govt" was not contained in the documents which includes the various meetings scheduled for the president to participate. Did Buhari tell you he was trying to replace the woman?... By the way, nobody or office is above administrative lapses, be it the presidency headed by Buhari or the UN ambassadors office headed by Prof Ogwu. it's a pity!!! I pity your condition and that of those that liked your write up. Have u ever being to a conference before or even a small group convention. No body except from the planning committees know the Time table of any conference until they get to the conference. At the conference, the schedule/ time table for each programme in the conference will be made available to the participant. If it's not made avaliable, there will always be a problem just like want happen to Nigeria delegate at the UN session

At the end of that "unofficial" $6.5M was realized and Nigeria's delegation relied on the UN Ambassador to educate them on the importance.

Why are people just deliberately ignoring the clear fact to make political point. A country's mission to an international organization is an advisory body to the head of government concerning all issues and dealings with that organization. Failure to identify and inform the government of the relevant meetings that needs to be attended is a failure of the mission in one of its most elementary duties. The head of mission and all its members involved directly or remotely should be recalled and remanded to desk duties at the foreign affairs ministry with close monitoring for the next five years. They have all apparently being sleeping at their duty post all these while.

What on God's earth are you spewing?? Who would the UN communicate through if not Mrs Ogwu? Was she not the conduit to the FG?
