I'm a graduate that completed my NYSC by july and at the end of my service, all the cash i could save was N50,000 and i have tried getting a job but all to no avail after the service and i have tried to keep this money in my account but i dnt have an idea of any little business that i can start with this small amount and i'm tired of staying at home. The OP asked a simple question and many suggested good businesses beyond his 50k budget. OP, just like Nature129 suggested, your 50k would do well as a capital to starting a recharge card printing business, if you own a pc of your own, that is.

Don't venture into agriculture of some sort with your 50k! One secret they will never tell you is that you need close to a 100k or more to venture into that field. If your parents own a land or one is willed to you, I'll suggest you try snail farming. That's the cheapest and easiest aspect of farming your 50k would conveniently function in and even give you enough as change.

Importation business is a very good one too but then again, you must understand your environment/social gathering so that you won't buy what many would turn down.

I'd have suggested you learn acquire some skill, say fashion designing but then again, it would take a while to learn and would cost you to set up yourself at the long run.

Again, goat herding is one big aspect people are yet to turn to. Easy and cheap to rear but highly profitable.

A learned person is supposed to know that u don't need talk somebody down because u want to sell ur idea. Though it sounds funny but this is a good business because it's something u can learn as fast as possible, just give an aboki close to ur area 1k, tell him u want to learn the Mai Suya business and he will gladly help u out( he might not collect the money and teach u, trust me northerners are very nice people.)
Also the business will fetch u good money if u can give it better packaging since u are graduate( Believe, people like unique things, like a guy of shirt, Jean air max dishing them their hot spicy Suya.) recharge card ke.its fyn,you can start with low capital and also get low income.with 2000 you can only get 30 to 60 naira gain or so.its not that profitable.you can make your enquiries.but I think some advise here's cool but downgrading.

If you are living in any state capital. Run now and buy a small laminating machine of 10k, rent a generator and try and find out where corpers in the state are collecting their Nysc Discharge certificate Next week Tuesday 13th (Passing out). If you can not buy, try and rent two laminators, take ur bro along and teach him how to use the machine between today and tomorrow. I laminated mine last year at 100naira.. If you are smart, you can laminate for 500 people or more. That is 500*100= 50,000k for few hours. Am a testimony to this smart idea of a friend.

I hate anything that has to do with smuggling but trust me,thee best business i can recommend is sales of authentic fairly used men shoes from mesebo in cotonou.

Just look for a good location and buy these shoes for lke 2k and selll them off fast at 3k and in a year from now u will thank me.

But as i wrote it is so profitable that u will b addicted to it but duee to the smuggling undertone i wont advice you do it except if u want to take the risk.
