I have honoured about 99% of the national team invitations no matter where the match is played. Anyway, my decision to quit the national team is for the best interest of the nation. I don't want to be the reason that Nigerian football house is divided. I want Nigeria to get back up to where it belongs. Vincent Enyeama believes the criticism he has received in his international career have been largely fuelled by tribal sentiments not because of his performance in-between the sticks.

The former Enyimba keeper came under the spotlight severally in 2012 after making a series of costly errors in high profile matches for the national team and he believes his critics have been vocal because he is not from one of the three major tribes in Nigeria.

The 30-year old Super Eagles safe hands is from Akwa Ibom state, South-South Nigeria.

“My critics will remain as long I am still with the national team. I am criticised because I am not Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo but I am not worried,” Enyeama said in a recent interview.

This back and forth is tiring. Both of you have attitude problem and I blame both of you for this drama. Oliseh was wrong but being a new boss, he needed to take charge as quick as possible even though he had no personal relationship with many of you. My boss started that way too.

And you Vincent, you don't need to announce you served us well for 13 years. We know what you have done for your country...our country. Don't blow your trumpet. In the first place I am finding it difficult to see reasons Olishe was given the Job, from my perception I feel super eagle is a lot bigger for Olishe to kick start his coaching career. As for Enyeama I don't feel striping of captaincy warranty your unprepared retirement if truly you are committed to national assignment, that been said, now that u are retired stop distraction, super eagle needs concentration and your speech my spite disunity in the team.
