You obviously do not know your football, cause if you did, you'd know Enyeama is among the top 3 keepers in Ligue 1. There are statistics to prove this.

As seen on Instagram today.

[b]''Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of whatsoever,I fear no evil for thou oh God JEHOVAH is with me.I didn't have a problem with Chief Onibginde,Chukwu,Equavon,Berti vogts,Lars Lagerback, Keshi. Under Berti Vogts, I WAS INJURED. it was a match against Ugandan that we won 1/0. The coach decided to stick to Austine Ejide after that match because Ejide had a great game. ONE QUESTION to everyone.
Who would be happy after just burying your mother that carried you 9months in the womb and suffered for you day and night, jumping on a 6hour plane to represent your fatherland only to be stripped of the captainship and humiliated at the first meeting in front of everyone after serving the nation for 13years. I have honoured about 99% of the national team invitations no matter where the match is played. Anyway, my decision to quit the national team is for the best interest of the nation. I don't want to be the reason that Nigerian football house is divided. I want Nigeria to get back up to where it belongs. It's a professional decision made for the blessing of the nation.I am very sorry for being the reason that all this things are happening.God bless NIGERIA#wearenigeriag.

When did you start watching football ?

DId you see Peter RUfai in the sticks ?
started with italia '90.....rufai was defined by his '94 escapades, blew it all away in france '98.Rufai has little or no club pedigree

yup i think we are all starting to slowly see enyeama for what he really is. a hot tempered pompous and arrogant person. no humility at all
He has always been an arrogant eediot.

His story on this issue is consistent. That he can not sit and allow any other person captain him.

All insult to his mother and security sending him out are simply meant for his gullible fans.

Instead of him being grateful to Nigeria for what we did to him.

He was keeping for Enyimba International against Julius Beggar when Onigbinde watched the match and brought him to Super Eagles.

Without the opportunity to play for Super Eagles , he could have gone unnoticed. So he should please spare me his 14 years paid service.

Am so surprised with the kind of bashing enyeama is getting here, most Nigerians here are not following the issues properly, enyeama is only reacting to the lies oliseh was peddling in a damage control arranged interview by the NFF with Toyin ibitoye where oliseh was lying that enyeama has been having issues with all Nigerian coaches including Berti vogts. Oliseh also accused enyeama of character assassination and said enyeama said he insulted his mother.

Oliseh is a kid and like someone said, this matter has been partially resolved with enyeama retiring from the national team. Its left for oliseh to translate all his grammar and phonetics to the field of play and let's see how it goes. For me am waiting for our home and way game against Egypt in march next year to know whether oliseh was a worthy successor to keshi.

dacovajnr:
Like seriously I think Enyeama is not involved in football age cheating like others, judging by his childish behaviours of recent he has proved that he's still in his early 30s not not 40s as I had tot, coz it's now obvious that he lack maturity to deal with minor stuffs...You retired from the National Team already..most of us blamed Oliseh over the fracas that ensued btw you 2, but I was hoping you'd have moved on with your life but reverse is the case..its now obvious that you are the guilty one not Oliseh..as those I knw to be in their late 30s n early 40s(Mikel,Onzi n Echejille) had told the Gaffer When they went to beg on your behalf that you sometime talk before you think..
THey are right and that is why i am with Oliseh on this.

Enyeama once said this :

MahatmaGhandi:
http://sunnewsonline.net/news/i-am-criticised-because-i-am-not-hausa-yoruba-or-igbo-vincent-enyeama

Vincent Enyeama believes the criticism he has received in his international career have been largely fuelled by tribal sentiments not because of his performance in-between the sticks.

The former Enyimba keeper came under the spotlight severally in 2012 after making a series of costly errors in high profile matches for the national team and he believes his critics have been vocal because he is not from one of the three major tribes in Nigeria.

The 30-year old Super Eagles safe hands is from Akwa Ibom state, South-South Nigeria.

“My critics will remain as long I am still with the national team. I am criticised because I am not Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo but I am not worried,” Enyeama said in a recent interview.
And i said this on that same post :

dammytosh:
This foolish Enyeama again. I once said it that he appears intelligent when he keeps his stupid mouth shut.

2 Major interviews, 2 foolish statements.

Enyeama is looking for cheap sympathy.... yes,he lost his mother and we have sympathized with him but stop using to gain attension... we have all lost someone,so he ain't a special case.
He ought to have respected his boss
Edit--- there are people who don't even have the means to bury there loved ones, suffering frm poverty,no one to help them... where is the sympathaty for those people?
enyeama should count himself lucky... nonsense
cr7lomo:
This has confirmed what olise said about what happened .... People like enyeama can't just let it go with what he just posted... It shows that he was the one behind the whole fracas , e don do but u no free, u want everyone to hear what u wanna say. U have retired, guy move on and stop distracting the team with ur silly posts
olufemimajek:
Vincent Enyema has always been a trouble maker.... Did i hear him say he never had problem with other coaches...He should go abeg, his own is too much..
menix:
This goes a long way to prove what transpired that day..

Vincent like talk, because u have played demons nd fallen Angels don't give u the authority to challenge. Ur boss..

U have decided to resign, oya enjoy ur family nd stop heating up Nairaland..
adioolayi:
He should go in peace joor!
Does he want the whole Nation to be on their knees...abeg!
Let him know Super Eagles are moving on without him....and we are going to get a good replacement.... where is Ike Casilas in Spain squad today? He is not the first and won't be the last keeper to call it quit...we've had Alloy, Rufai, Ike and so on...Nigeria is Blessed Beyond hanging onto an individual

See me see something. So because he was stripped of the captain band, we all should hold our breath for him? What nonsense! Silva was replaced with Neymar as the captain of the Brazilian team and he didn't raise hell fire. Enyeama should go and sleep joor. Nigerians too like title.

All I see is Pooo Talk... Enyeama served Nigeria well... I pity Oliseh... you think you managing a club sidehuh make I remind u... Na Nigerian National Team... we want results, Get ur acts together... you should be thinking bout accolades to win nigerians over to ur side... and not how strict u feel you wann be to disobedient players.

Yes, you served us for 13yrs, rem also you never refused the match bonuses and salaries. I mean what do people mean when they say after all he has done for Nigeria?....he is not a social worker nor a humanitarian. He's paid for not just being between the goal post buh even in the bench during matches. Abeg enough is enough. Let him discuss with his wife if he should call off his retirement. Mtchew.
Re: Vincent Enyeama: 'I Quit So As Not To Divide The Nigerian Football House' by sneak3(m): 2:57pm On Oct 10, 2015
I don't get people castigating Oliseh for changing Enyeama as captain. Thiago Silva was removed and replaced with Neymar as captain of the Samba boys no one heard any noise, Mascharano suffered the same fate with Argentina.. He was replaced by a certain Lionel Messi again no noise was made of it..

My only question in this whole brouhaha is this "did Oliseh any point called Enyeama to discuss his philosophy and d issue of team captain with him ? If yes is the answer to the question above, den Enyeama can go and have a filled day. I will happily miss him as our gollie
Re: Vincent Enyeama: 'I Quit So As Not To Divide The Nigerian Football House' by Nobody:
I am one of Enyeama's numerous Super Fans out there but i am not one of his sentimental fans, hell No. I subscribe to the school of thought that frowns at insubordination. His ego got a better part of him and he completely lost it, bringing in sentimental issues like the death of his mum in other to cloud everyone's reasoning on his actions/reactions before the players is a NO NO for me.

The coach is the Boss and you must subject yourself to his authority and if you need an explanation then you know the way to his office.
Oliseh has every right to appoint whoever he wants as his captain and whatever methodology he uses to accomplish it is his absolute prerogative and the national team Captainship is not a birthright and there are no written codes or rules on it either.

Every coach has its own methodology to issues:

I don’t have to explain my decision to Petr Cech, he knows where my office is. I know it’s a bit far for them because it’s the last office in the corridor, opposite to their dressing room, but they know where I am and I always tell them – if they need an explanation, I never close the door. Jose Mourinho

“I don’t want special relations with one of them (his players). I hate to speak about individuals. Players don’t win you trophies, teams win trophies, squads win trophies.” Jose Mourinho

“Why drive Aston Martin all the time, when i have Ferrari and Porsche as well? That would just be stupid” – When asked about rotating Joe Cole, Arjen Robben and Damien Duff. Jose Mourinho grin grin grin grin

“I told [Adrian] Mutu, you are already a rich boy, you won a lot of money, you are still in a big contract. So no problem with your future about money, no problem about prestige in your home country. When you go back to Romania you will be one of the kings. But five years after you leave football nobody remembers you. Only if you do big things. This is what makes history.”
Jose Mourinho cheesy

“I just put the team up,” said Mourinho. “No explanation to any player, because it’s my decision. Jose Mourinho

“The players may not be happy, or not agree with the decision, It’s what I think is best for the team at a certain moment. This is the way I do it. Jose Mourinho.

If they come to me and ask me to explain, no problem
- Jose Mourinho

I had one who asked, knocking on my door asking why someone else was playing instead of him. “I told him the other man was playing better, closed the door, goodbye. Jose Mourinho grin grin grin grin grin grin

“I don’t think I have to be always speaking with players about decisions. For me, it’s the club, the team and the players. The club is not under my control. The team, yes, so I want the players to think that everything I do, I do thinking about the team. I don’t like to be always justifying to the players my decisions. Jose Mourinho

Oh Vincent pulleeeaaase! Enough!

This back and forth is tiring. Both of you have attitude problem and I blame both of you for this drama. Oliseh was wrong but being a new boss, he needed to take charge as quick as possible even though he had no personal relationship with many of you. My boss started that way too.

And you Vincent, you don't need to announce you served us well for 13 years. We know what you have done for your country...our country. Don't blow your trumpet. You have retired or resigned, then rest. You have done your best. You are a blessing to the Super Eagles. Now just shut it already and let us do the talking and gossiping. Silence is golden.
