The constitution treats tradition and culture within its domain.

Why do you think constitution recognizes sharia law, for the North.

cool Don't mind this idiot. Most of them are fake-good sellers with zero knowledge of Nigeria's constitution. Why don't they go to the North and forcefully remove Sharia.

Omg! OK suit urself

I believe u got the message or should I quote myself?

"Yoruba traditions are very clear. Respect to an Oba is different from that of an Emir in hausaland"

All rulers in a yoruba traditional territory must be approved by the paramount Ruler - here being the Deji

So the existence of Eze Ndigbo of Akure is subject to the Deji's call

It would take my team and I about 4 weeks to make "nkowaputa is" show up with some really nasty words if needed. Just saying.

The OP is a dumb f.cuk.

Emir is Amir, an Arabic/Islamic title not an indigenous one. An Amir is more like the muslim leader of a society.

The Emirs we have are representations of Dan Fodio's jihad victories marked with setting up Emirs in different parts of the north.

It is like comparing the Queen of England to the Vatican Pope.

Why not wear your Eze 'indigo' crown to the palace of an indigenous hausa king's palace make we see how far?

And your obas is killing himself over the money that comes from that 12x12. Mr don't live in your village and become a compound fool. Go to the North. Go to the East. In Anambra where I come from the Sarikin Hausa is the business of the Hausas in Anambra and nobody, mark it nobody interfers with their affairs. They have their markets which they built and the only thing govt does is to tax them just like other citizens but in terms of lording it over them my brother it is a no no. The sme with Igbo leaders in the North. It is only among your lot that you always talk of respect but you are the most disrespectful of others.

Let me also give you example with what happened in Ugwuoba, Enugu State, a neighbouring community to my own community. There is this big cattle market called Ugwuoba Gariki market where Northerners do their trading. The leadership of that market is 100 percent in the hands of the Northerners. About five yrs ago a leadership struggle ensured between the Northern traders there. One of the groups mobilised his men and they burnt down that market to ashes. If this had happened in the West, the Westerners would have rejoiced and seen it as good opportunity to take the land back and resell it the second time at more exorbitant rate to the Northerners. But this did not happen. Nobody ever contemplated it. Peace was brokered among the warring groups and the market was rebuilt.

Now see the truth. While I am not yet part of the group calling for Biafra, one Nigeria is a suffocating to the Igbos.

Your cow market cooked-up story is not inspiring ;it is dull. There are thousands of cow markets in the south west and we have not been having issues with the Hausa/Fulani operators of these markets. The reason is not far fetched; they mind their business and have never made conscious effort to disrespect the customs and traditions of their host communities unlike our egomaniac igbos. You can't give what you don't have actually. What manner of respect can anyone expect from someone who does 'business' during the day and resort to armed robbery at night ? Trust me,you do not have anything worthy of my visit to any of your states;don't even suggest it. Why I should I visit a cursed land that even the natives are running away from? In this game,Yoruba hold all the aces! We will continue to lord it over you and unfortunately for you, there is nothing you can do about it. Unlike what happened in the last civil war,Yoruba people will finish you off completely this time around without firing a single shot! Your entire liveline is in yoruba land. Pray there is no full blown-out crisis between Yoruba and Igbo. It is a chess-like war and Igbo are poorly positioned ! We will hit you where the 'injury' will never heal. Awon ode lasan!

Just to show how dangerous you guys can be. In the so-called Igbo coup, there was a Yoruba among the four majors. I'm posting this photo to correct this rumour going up and down about people in diaspora leaders can't wear their crown to visit the state king. That is the Eze Ndigbo of kano with Sanusi.

Whenever my owan people want to visit the Emir in kano, our Enogie goes with his full regalia, and nothing has happened.
Even in universities, when a tribe in the school want to visit a traditional leader, they go along with their appointed or voted king/queen.
that is the Hausa's own tradition.Mind you even in Yoruba land in as much as you can't wear your cap while greeting your father or father in law likewise an ordinary person who is not a bonified or traditional king can not do the same to a Yoruba king. Can all this so called eze indigbo wear a crown to the palace of the obi of Onitsha or do you think first class or even second class titled kings in Igbo land see this people as royalty. They are mere association leaders. The emir of kano might not see anything wrong in that cause even in his palace is stable boys wrap their heads in turban just like him.every kingdom is unique with its own tradition.if they think they are that bold they should go to the emir's palace with a bible and start quoting scriptures there. Imagine the rest yourself

Sometimes I feel like ignoring people like you because it's obvious you lack proper knowledge of a modern society. What made Igbos come to Southwest is samething that made Shell, Chevron, DSTV and co leave their better countries to Nigeria. They saw opportunities where you are seeing problems. Chinese are all over the countries making money here but people like you with warpped sense of entitlement will sit in a corner and complain. People like you hate competition but healthy competition is what is developing other countries. So next time you think of asking an Igbo what he is doing in Southwest first go and ask a Chinese what he is doing in Nigeria, after all Nigeria is not better than China.

True and there can't be two kings in one town. If the need does arise having a sub-king then he must be submissive to the ruling king. In most places the ruling king actually hands the sub-king his staff of office to show his authority over the sub-king.

@OP, since you're from Owan, I guess you've heard of Igarra. Whenever the Royal Family has a Case in Court with the Non-Royal Families, our King (Otaru) does put on his Crown to the Court Premises, but the self-acclaimed Kings (non-royal family heads) don't try that because the Court doesn't recognise them. If Eze-Ndigbo has a Court Case against the Deji, can he (Eze) put on his Crown to the Court? If NO, why then would he put on his Crown when visiting the Deji?!

Interestingly, those nationalities and companies you mentioned in your harangue against Yorubas are Business And Profit conscious instead of asking for war where there is none. These are companies that promote and cherish our traditional values and cultures while our so called useless and worthless neighbours called Igbos want to play "This is 21st century, traditional values should be ignored".

These are useless people who praised their worthless Obi or Eze in Onitsha for placing curse on Ngige for having his political rally on the day of traditional celebration. What hypocrisy!!!!!!!

What a shame on you Igbos!!!! Yorubas are fully awake of your mischief now and ready to deal with you sons and daughters of bitches decisively.

You have been tagged Wailers by other Nigerians in all social media, that's how low and worthless a whole Igbo tribe has become in your generation. What a pity!!!

A proud, arrogant and disrespectful individual would eventually render worthless, disrespected and lonely in the midst of friends. This is the fate of Igbos now.

The oba of akure is suffering from acute Inferiority complex. Nobody is dragging Oba throne with him . If the Eze ndi igbo is truly disrespectful to the Oba, why then did he honour the Oba's invitation. Eze ndi Igbo is simply the elected leader of Igbo pple living in akure, how does his position challenge the position of the Oba of akure? The Oba behaved like a common street tout

Like Oba of akure, most yoruba youth are suffering
from acute inferiority complex. That's why they
demand for respect rather than work hard to earn it.

The Ogba ewu (Goat market) in head bridge market
in Onitsha is dominated by hausas, even those some
igbos sell goat there also, an Hausas man has
always been the leader of the market and neither
the Obi of Onitsha nor Igbos youths in Onitsha has
ever felt threatened. Everybody is more occupied
with their business.

Why would an Oba feel threatened when an Igbo
man becomes a leader in a market highly
dominated by Igbos? Inferiority complex is the
answer. I understand that yorubas hate competition in their land
especially if the competitor is from another tribe. But they should know that America is great today bcus they welcome competition.

Igbos leave igboland to yorubaland, not that yorubaland is more developed than Igboland, but simply bcus business in Igboland is highly competitive , unlike in yorubaland. In Igboland, everybody has the business brain which makes it highly competitive environ. Yorubas are not known for buying and selling, they are more of white collar jobs, which is an advantage for Igbos in yorubaland who are more of business merchants.

The yorubas , hausas and other tribe exemption of
Igbo always scream 'one Nigeria'. But Igbos are the
tribe who practicalize 'one Nigeria' mantra, and yet they are hated for that.

It is a taboo to wear anything on your head (cap, hat, crown etc) when visiting a palace in Yoruba land, except when you are a fellow Oba with same status or with the permission of the Oba.
Who made you 'king' in another king's territory or domain?.

Yoruba has a very rich culture and very long history when it comes to kingdoms and kingships unlike the Igbo.

Respect your host and live in peace, or you do otherwise and be in trouble! Simple.

Absolute bunkum. Are ibos the only non Yorubas living in Yorubaland? Why are others able to co exist peacefully and ibos are not?
Why are ibos having the same issues everywhere they find themselves?
Yorubas are about the only people who can tolerate ibos until the ibos started to think they can kick sands in Yorubas face and get away with it. Big mistake.

Great insight!
I don't know why an ethnic group would not respect the cultures of the host community and still expect peace.
If the Igbo think Yoruba people are not tolerant, they are free to go with the Hausa. We all know what has been the case.
Even the south-south people do not have any problems with Yoruba people
