I can understand why there are so much negative comments against Biafrans? It is for the same reason 30 thousand men and women was brutally killed by any means imaginable in the streets of Northern Nigeria. Crude Caesarian was performed on our pregnant women, their unborn babies was drag out of the womb and stabbed to death, not to mention the barbarism that followed the uncivilised war. I have always asked God why he allowed such evil on Biafran people, and why is the enemy still threatening Biafrans, until he directed me to Isaiah 14:21 and quote; Prepare Slaughter For His Children For The Iniquity Of Their Fathers; That They Do Not Rise, Nor Possess The Land, Nor Fill The Face Of The World With Cities. If you are a Biafran, remain courageous for your freedom is at hand |

Okay, Biafrans (or IPOB) - let's analyse the best way to achieve Biafra, if you think violence is the best route. In as much as Nigeria doesn't have a proper military that can defeat a well equipped uprising and separatist group with modern and sophisticated weapons - backed by at least a country with a decent military - I don't think Biafrans can win against Nigeria. Igbos are mostly Christians and most look towards Israel. However, Israel doesn't care about anyone apart from Israel - and it'll most likely support any group the Gulf countries support. And that's most likely Northern Nigerians. Iran would've been a decent choice and Iran has the capability of turn IPOB youths into the vicious and brutal Houthi rebels of Yemen (the same ones that have made the Saudis and Gulf military look like fools) or even Hezbollah. But Igbos abhor Islam and they're not even Shiites. The West will only support Igbos if there's something in it for them...and Igboland has little or no oil to interest anyone - apart from an alliance with their South South neighbours. Russia has no interest in Nigeria and Igbos are more Americanised than anything Russia wants to deal with. And Chinese don't interfere in other people's business. So who will give Biafra the needed support? |

Eziachi:You have to understand something Diplomacy will never get you your freedom in this current situation There is too many vested intrest for diplomacy to work currently for any set of people Any country/nation that wants to get their freedom have to stand up and fight for it Peaceful diplomatic means will only waste your time cause it will definately not happen (at least not for the next couple of yrs) Fact is Throughout history no set of people have gotten true freedom by diplomatic/peaceful means It has never ever happen If you are not ready to die you are not ready to be free The people who put you in bondage didn't do so diplomaticaly or peacefuly Why then should you follow such a path Scothland, chechnya, catalonia and taiwan are not ready for true (emphasis on true) freedom When they are They will drop that diplomatic and peaceful path and do what they are supposed to do Which is to fight You fight not just for fighting sake You fight because people who are holding you down will not let you go till you fight them That's how its done The ipob and their leadership know this That is why their method is yielding results ( as you can see from the momentum the movement is gathering) No modern approach (what ever that means), no diplomacy, no subtle method, no beating about the bush Just riseup and fight for your freedom by any and every means necessary Or else As the popular saying goes "You're on a long tin" |

chrisbaba1:There are no such thing as too late in a struggle. Jomo Kenyatta and his Mau Mau did not say it was to late, when they had a crack down by the British colonialists. What they did was to change their tactics. The problem of Biafra independent lies squarely not with Nigeria per say, but with the Igbo elites, who are v ery comfortable with Nigeria but very terrified of being isolated from their fellow gang members from the rest of Nigeria. They are the one sabotaging Biafra secretly. Like criminals, they preferred being in the midst of their gang members rather than being isolated on their own with their own people. |

Pesuzok:what is this one saying? So if someone claims to be igbo ,I should just believe without verification. Yes it only a fool that fights his brother. Buhari knws that and that's the reason behind bokoharam negotiations. Same reason he criticised Jonathan whenever the soldier are dealing with bokoharam. So wise up Biafra fight is either violet or nonviolent depending the side of the coin Nigeria chooses |

modath:Its like a football team, every member of the squad had varied abilities but and make mistakes that often cost them goals. But that doesn't mean that they cannot still jointly go to their opponents side to amend the mistakes by scoring a beautiful goal of their own. You people callously use the word treason. What he is doing is nowhere near treason both in theory and in practice. |

sonofananimal:the past can til mal-construct the future. Casualties of 1967 is what the Yoruba has been using as a threat forgetting that the support they got as Nigeria was oil promise to their allies. Now if we do same deal with foreign allies being the true owners of the resources what would be the Nigeria fact. |

I don't know why KANU is so eager to make a scapegoat of himself. maybe he believes that by his prosecution Igbo youths would rally once again as in the 60s.I think its time the Igbo en possibly every tribe in Nigeria leaders come together and establish what the want weather its in context of Nigeria or out of it.For those clamouring for war, I hope they know that warfare this days isn't a child's play if their ever is a second civil war of succession, I don't know its outcome but one certainty is that no ethnic group would be better off. |

I am igbo whether you believe it or not and I have the right to choose what i want. You can just force people like that. I keep asking the questions, Which states make up the biafra, What is the agitation for What consideration are for igbos that have all their life investement outside SE. Lets discuss, not fight to make sure that all igbos are carried along in the process |

omonnakoda:We lost the war because Ojukwu was inexperience, and our leaders were too afraid to tell him, against wise old foxes surrounding Gowon who is worse than Ikemba. Had Ojukwu made Michael Okpara prime minister and Akanu Ibiam as the president and be just the army commander, things would had been different. Because one of Biafra biggest obstacle then was image of how Ojukwu was portrayed before the West. The Americans and the British was terrified of Ojukwu as another Castro in arms and Lumumba in brain. Finally the declaration of the republic by the Eastern House of parliament should had been delayed until 1968/69 because mentally we were ready but materially and diplomatically we weren't. |

Eziachi:Please, don't put me in "your" category - do that with zoogerians or whatever they're called, and keep me out of it. I cosigned ya first post...but now you're letting ya emotions get the best of you. Do you think his approach is the best approach when everyone with a brain knows that any separatist group aiming for an end result always endeavour to build bridges - not destroy them - especially places like Igboland, without much to offer an external country for support? And how would even be able to achieve anything, even with diplomacy, without external support? Who'll vote for it at the UN security council and general assembly? Only a rogue and a scam artist will sell a dream by playing on people's emotions, just to enrich himself. And I believe his arrest is another ploy to get more money cos I doubt he's that dumb to what he did without ulterior motives. |
