Revitalising daily star is good, that would help Enugu citizens to know the programmes of the government and also create employment for the youth, the road length wasn't stated but I believe the road is very important to the people ln that part of Enugu donguutti: 1 Like |

The I don't care attitude of Ndi Enugu is one thing I don't like about Ndi Enugu, we the citizens are too docile, we don't criticize our government,we don't have opposition in Enugu, take for instance the kind of opposition we see in our neighbouring states, vibrant oppostion makes the government wake up to its responsibilities and not running the govrnment like a personal venture. 7 Likes |

Oga sypder, does anyone have a copy of the law setting up Eswama, electronic or print copy. I believe the list of fines and other necessary info would be there, then ypu can pursue the case to a logical end. Do they have the right to Jump a fence(illegality) to handle another supposed illegality @Dikeoha882, how do you criticize a near insular government, which has the news media under its thumb 3 Likes |

Yes, we still have Igbos who are still passionate about Igbo cause and advancement, this generation of Igbos will do more in terms of educational advancement than our fathers though I still doubt if we can produce another Chinua Achebe. I doubt about their developmental passion for Igbo land because they are more nigerian than Azikiwe and lord lugard centje: |

Ndi Enugu are calm people, our calmness is our bane, opposition in Enugu don't even protest when thing are not working well,it took the intervention of Archbishop Chukwuma who is originally from Asaba to protest about Chime's absence when he was ill, its high time we change that docillity and make our govt work for the citizenry donguutti: 6 Likes |

A Great lady Posted on Facebook: Do you know Hong Kong is a region inside China? I use to think Hong Kong was a country of its own... #OlodoLikeMe Chinenye what do you want? I want a HONG KONG IN NIGERIA FIRST, where do you want it located ? In South east and some part of South south (that's if they want it) .. Now that's the kind of BIAFRA I WANT, AN ECONOMY BIAFRA.. I want a HONG KONG IN NIGERIA.. Hong Kong in Nigeria series coming from me soon.. #Strategy (well what I read Hong Kong region did) Hong Kong wanted to be the Biafra of China, well China Refused, what did Hong Kong do ? Their wealthy men and women gathered and decided to make their region great. Now Hong Kong citizens are proud to tell you they are from Hong Kong (they hardly say China).. China now begs them with style to stay. Where are our wealthy men and women ? Have you reached out to them ? Are you carrying them along ? Your governors are that encouraging her people to come back home and invest? Lastly from me, Stop bullying your neighbors if they don't want to join you, LEAVE THEM ALONE and do it on your own Or try convincing them or their leaders to join you with love.. Yes I read about Hong Kong. Anyway what do I know ? Do I want Biafra ? Yes but a Hong Kong Biafra FIRST... I appreciate what Nnamdi Kanu is doing but he needs a little bit more strategy... #UdoDiRiNu 10 Likes |

InyinyaAgbaOku: This generation has great people like Achebe and the rest. The ONLY difference is that they write in areas very familiar to white literature. Put succinctly, they are typically educated in the west and thus their orientation makes their work appear simple. Unlike Achebe that based most of his works on authentic African poetry and literature. This is an area no white man can compete and thus he is the father of the game. It is like Nollywood that gained fame by telling authentic African stories. if Nollywood had made the mistake of starting with western style movies of cars blowing up and high budget movies, they would have ended up in the gutter because they can't compete with western movies in such areas. But, they touched an area no western movie can compete; African stories... many many aspect of African life still need to be discovered for the world to appreciate. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Hi all...unu adikwa mma ofuma? Okay....so I went to Nsukka today .... all I can say is, that town needs a facelift....that Ogige market area...on the way to UNN bukwu another disater..... The town is unplanned...so o ga adi near impossible making the town a pretty one What has that Senator Eze (...and others like him) been doing up in the Senate? SMH So while I maintain that Gov Ifeanyi should make every effort (even if he has to steal the effort, I dont kyar! ) to maintain the structural and cultural integrity of Enugu.... He should make Nsukka presentable Surely that is not impossible It is not an either or thing Thanks On another note, whose responsibility is it to maintain UNN structures? I will comment when/if I know Actually....all I think about these days is self determination and how it will boost our innovative potential... 1 Like |

IBETO TO BUILD A $390 MILLION CEMENT PLANT IN ENUGU Latest News Ibeto Cement in $390 million deal with Chinese firm 21 Oct 2015, 06:39 pm Chibuike Oguh Ibeto Cement in $390 million deal with Chinese firm News Highlight - The cement plant will have an installed capacity of 2.2 million metric tonnes. - Sinoma Engineering has become a Chinese contractor of choice for Nigerian cement companies. 0 Comments An Ibeto Cement Plant Ibeto Cement, a major cement importer, has signed a contract with a Chinese firm, Sinoma International Engineering, to build a $386 million cement plant in Enugu State. The cement plant will have an installed capacity of 2.2 million metric tonnes of cement per year and would be completed in 30 months, according to a statement posted on the website of the Chinese firm today. In June, the Central Bank of Nigeria announced the restriction of foreign exchange for the importation of certain goods, including cement. This measure, perhaps, forced Ibeto Cement to ramp up its local production. In 2012, Ibeto Cement acquired majority shares in Nigeria Cement Company, a comatose cement-manufacturing firm located in Ebonyi State. But the state government shut down the plant, claiming that Ibeto Cement used the plant to acquire import licenses instead of resuscitating the plant. With Ibeto’s new plant, Nigeria’s installed capacity is expected to rise above 40 million metric tonnes per year, far beyond the local annual consumption of over 20 million metric tonnes. Many cement plants in Nigeria operate below their installed capacities as a result of the rampant importation of cheap cement mainly from China, inadequate gas supplies to power cement plants and high haulage costs. In September, Dangote Cement slashed its cement prices in an attempt to boost local consumption and compete with cheap imports. This move led to an industry-wide lowering of cement prices by cement companies to maintain market share. The cement industry in Nigeria is dominated by four companies: Dangote Cement, the market leader, Lafarge Africa, BUA Cement and Flour Mills of Nigeria. Nigeria’s cement industry has benefited from the federal government’s backward integration policy, which was initiated in 2002 to encourage local production of cement. Since that time, more than $6 billion in capital projects have been launched. With the Ibeto Cement deal, Sinoma Engineering has become a Chinese contractor of choice for most Nigerian cement companies. In August, Dangote Cement signed a $4.34 billion deal with the Chinese firm to build cement plants in 10 African countries and Nepal. In September, BUA Cement signed a $600 million deal to double the capacity of its cement plant in Obu, Edo State. IGBOSON1:^^^^^^^^^ Bros, Don't waste your time or be deceived by their hopeless propaganda posting newer internet images everyday. i have since stopped looking at all these yoruba oluwole generated images of FG. Before now, the AIIA was at a more advanced completion stage than kano. Since Buhari took over, Kano terminal is almost completed. All we get are hundreds of new computer generated images of the same AIIA project. Like the Niger bridge subjected to "review" Perhaps Buhari is also "reviewing" the plan of AIIA to make it better. While Kano terminal with the same exact plan was not "reviewed", but the project simply completed as planned. 5 Likes |

ChimaAdeoye: ^^^Seriously though, that new terminal ought to have been at its finishing stages by now! Things seem to have slowed down! I think the covert plan is to finish others first, so any foreign airlines planning any new routes will first consider the completed terminals in those other cities before AIIA! Construction started at all these airports by the same Chinese coy at the same time, yet the one at Enugu is now lagging behind! I warned this was going to happen, so i'm not surprised one bit! 3 Likes |
