Hello people, I was just able to save more than 100k on my KLM return ticket to Detroit. So here is what I did, I searched using cheapflights.com.ng, saw different deals but the best for me was a ticket for 289k and I selected. I was then redirected to mytrip.com for payments, opted for a premium charge of about 7. 99 euros to enable me make changes if the need arises and an additional 21 euros was charged as service fee.

In total I paid 296k on mytrip.com for an exact ticket that was 2274usd (452k) on the klm site.

Let me add that I did my research on the site before paying cos it looked too good to be legit. I got my booking reference immediately after payment went through. Sharperly, I went to the klm site to test the reference to be sure it wasn't a hoax and it wasn't! As I type, I haff reserved my comfy seats for all the trips and made my special requests. So for those looking for cheap deals and are willing to take the risk, you have your guinea pig.

Thanks, let those still searching for tickect take note. Guess we have to wait till midnight?

So after the extra smooth POE experience, the temporary season of hunger games and eventual house swap, my lil one arrived early hours of this morning at wyckoff heights! Its a girl! ( thank God, didnt want any bruce/caitlyn jenner things after buying too much pink!) and it was through a VBAC too. God is indeed very faithful. I thank Him cos it has ended in praise!

VBAC wao! Congrats Tobermom, love to the princess. I tap into this grace.

Hello Arabanbi007 saw your post, I am still looking for a roommate you can PM if you are still interested. As for doctors, I know a very good one at west Houston my friend just had her baby there yesterday and mother and child are all doing well. I also know one that is also good at oak bend because I currently have a friend using the doctor now. I use Ben tub because I like the Ben tub experience.

Hmmm Bbiz, i love the way u shared this; "Ben Taub experience". Could u share this experience?

JOIN ME IN PRAISING GOD I HAVE SEEN HIS GOODNESS.......

God is ever faithful, sang praises throughout my trip and i put God first in all I did.

To give back to the trend,

I got into houston yesterday 23rd thru London, flew BA ( was a good choice), Bought the ticket last min 21st was like 300k+

Lagos,
I checked in online, so i just went straight to Customs, my 1 baggage was checked, in it were powdered milk, Ogbono, crayfish,chilly pepper, Egusi (all grinded), then straight for my boarding pass, the lady who attended to me was super nice, I also asked for a wheelchair which helped me alot ( it was put on my boarding pass). went through fast track, no wheel chair was given to me at the lagos leg but went straight to board the plane.

London,
my name was already on the list for assistance for wheel chair and two other granmas, so we were each wheeled on different wheel chairs to the BA wheel chair assiatance roo, all our data were checked and entered (VIP treatment) grin. when the connecting flight to Houston was few mins to boarding, we were like 6 pple for the flight who were assisted with car cart to our boarding gate, all our passes already checked, boarding time came we went like VIPs.
The flight was also FAB no stress, but one of the air hostess was not nice she said i cld drink water from the toilet, i weak o shocked shocked shocked lipsrsealed, i almost insulted her, then i remembered dont let the devil spoil your joy. grin grin so i waka go o, as na only me waka come grin

Hoston,
My name was first on the list for wheelchair service no stress, straight to immigration to the front,

Cbp: hello, what are you here for
moi: for child birth
cbp: how much do you ve with you
moi: **** including money in my debit acct(nigeria) over 10k dollars, cash at hand less than 500dollars
cbp: ok, how long r u here for
moi: 10weeks
cbp: put your finger on the bio metrics
moi: did that
cbp: your face here, the machine was lowered( remember am on a wheel chair)
Moi: put my face.
cbp: stamped my passport no limit to stay.
Moi: thank you, collected my passport.

I used less than 3mins with the cbp. Although am a frequent US traveler.

no documents asked no second inspection but i went to customs cos of the amt.
I was asked how much i had in cash told the officer, my wheelchair helper(Tracy) then asked him 'are you good', he asked her 'r u', she said yes rolling her yes then he said you can go
went to baggage claim, Tracy helped with my baggage, then out.

I thank God for easy POE and journey mercies.

thank you guys on Nairaland for all the information. appreciate. mummies in Richmond holla at me lets hook up

Please how can I get a readily available doctors correspondence for my interview? Miami or dallas is the area im looking at. Please help a sister...

it has already been stated that dallas and miami are difficult places to get a letter from,try other place or is that where you wanna put in your visa form as where you will be staying/contact person?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by cinakin: 7:54pm On Oct 24, 2015
somebody please help with assisting me with this questions.....i have read some some parts of part 2 and 1 and haven't found a similar situation, maybe i am missing them, most of what i have been seeing is POE, i just need to be clarified on this(i just learnt about nairaland recently and my interview date is near) please oooh... God bless as you answer.

cinakin:
thanks to everyone who answered me... but i have some questions...what is the difference between a doctor"s correspondence and a doctor'"s letter? i see people use it here. but i dont get it.. also i was recently rejected a vacation visa oct 6th and i reapplied,can i still say i am going to stay in the same place for childbirth cause thats where my host is.

this was my conversation at the last appointment bvelow:

vo=(hand me your document)
me=i did
vo=why do you wanna travel?
me=to visit my favorite aunt in kansas
vo=how long will you be staying?
me=two weeks,although she wants me to stay longer. but just two weeks
vo=what do you do?
me=i head the call center agents.
vo=are you married?
me=yes
vo=do you have kids?(typing with a straight face)
me=no,but i am expecting(dont know if he heard that last part)
and he said those dreaded word,"sorry we cannot give you visa now,handed me that blue print.
i asked if i can re-apply and he said in 90 days
i said i really wanted to go no,cause i wont have time then. he said well...
then i left.. he didnt even check my documents after packaging everything.

i paraphrased most of our conversation though..
please people what did i say wrong? now i want to declare childbirth
1)how do i go about it what do i say?
2) i am trying to get doctors letter both from nigeria and usa,but the bill is out of my budget and difficult to get..the us hospital that wants to give me letter isnt in kansas, should i change my location to another city,but that will incure another budget that wont fit in mine?
3)also should i use the same address i used as my host this time?
4)should the hospital that wants to accept me send a letter or an email to the embassy accepting me or how do i go about this?do they do that?
5)can the i put the hospital as where ill be staying in my application?
(p.s) i dont have any travel history except ghana, i need help as my appointment is getting close. i am so clueless, all the guru"s please help and sorry for the typo"s... if any of my question isnt clear enough,please ask and ill explain. awaiting responses please.

cinaki i see you are pressed for time. what is your budget first of all?
your last interview, how much did you write on your form as monthly earnings
2. you cant write kansas on ur ds160 & provide hospi & docs correspondence for another city
if your budget can work around you getting accomodation yourself+hospital+doc+other expenses, then pick the state where they will easily send u email correspondence for embassy+poe

4. the hospital accepting you will send u a mail and not to the embassy
5. put address of where you will stay
i had just ghana trip on ecowas passport and a uk refusal for my toddler and I, yet i got the visa few wks back. that thing works on God's favor my sister
doctor's correspondence & letter are same. just that some doctors issue a letter for u to take for visa +poe. doesnt matter. if you have exchanged email with a doc &hospi & gotten cost & breakdown of their bills it will suffice
your qweshion 1, i dont know the answer. firsty, olo, phema, shawlar uma dey here to help her??

U have done justice to the kweshun. ..
As for question no.1... if they refer back to it truly I can't give a walk arnd answer to that given she killed it with the "I'm staying 2 weeks response".

However she could gamble with this (subject to her consideration n perspective) of referred back. ..
She was just gonna do vacation at the time and even though mind wasn't made up weda or not she's giving birth there, when the VO asked her status of motherhood she didn't LIE as she stated that she was expecting.

She should try n channel the conversation to buttress her claim of expectant n away from favorite auntie story.

Gud luck with the reapplication and balm up ursef very well with phema BOP.

Regards

Meehn ur indifference is priceless I must say. ... cool
Nice smiley

To add to the above. ...
I think u may need to layout the new set o' rules because apparently they are changing and more stringent given ur reviewed policy on hospital advert.

It's becoming tighter and harder to post new areas (obgyn n hospitals alike) of interest.

Perhaps there's need to balance the policy such that we all don't queue to the handful of coys that have been informed enough to satisfy ur advert requirements. ..
