The good thing about them is that they are not hiding the situation of the bank...........Ethically that is good.............

You can not compare the corporate governance of FBN with Oando, Onasanya made mistakes and he is going in December 2015 spending about 5 years as MB/CEO of FBN. Wale and his gang have repeatedly ruined and mismanaged Oando since 2001 and they are are still at the helms of affairs in the company.

Oando is the bomb, another set of analysts are talking about the result. They all believed there are hidden losses that will manifest at the end of this year or next year.

Heard that too.

Stupid fat man...........He introduced a new culture of recklessness to FBNH...............

I will rather invest in an over-valued bad company that is managed by good managers, to an under-valued good company that is managed by bad managers.

Unipetrol was a very good and under-valued company that had created wealth for the shareholders, before the coming of the cow-boys who are bad managers.

Wale is a very good story teller, he told us good story about the future of the company 10 years but the story and projections are yet to become a reality. Imagine buying Oando for almost N100 in 2005.

Brother Ihedioramma, it is my face. Sometimes I do check in to see the people view on stock exchange market. For some months now, I have been on leave, and may not resume in the stock trading, till I see or notice positive changes.

Enough of your pessimism.................Yes FBNH is exposed to non-performing loans and thats why they couldn't pay dividend because they are trying to clean up their balance sheet.................I am not happy with current trend too but the picture that you are painting is with prejudice............

It's not prejudice. FBNH is on its way to N2.00

You've been warned just like you were warned with OANDO.

FBNH HAS REALLY TRIED. With such an impairment provision, and still come out with such an EPS, I am willing to buy more.

Moreso if I am not wrong the EPS supposed to have taken account of the bonus issue by now. The result speaks of a better tomorrow.

From Investment One:
26th October 2015

Q3 2015 result highlights

§ Weak net interest income: down -17.6% q/q; -1.8% y/y

§ Decline in other operating income: -36.2% q/q; -29.8% y/y

§ Spike in impairment charges: up 30% q/q; 258% y/y

§ PBT and PAT decline q/q and y/y

§ Consensus estimates to be revised lower with negative implication for rating

FBNH this afternoon released its Q3 2015 results that came in much weaker than our expectation. Contrary to its peers, we struggle to find any positives in the results as all the P&L lines came in weaker both on a y/y and sequential basis.

Both net interest income of N66.2bn and other operating income of c.N20.2bn were c.18% and 36% lower q/q. This, combined with the 30% q/q spike in loan impairment charges largely drove the 70.3% decline in pre-tax profits despite support from OPEX, down by c.20%. Conclusively, a 36% tax credit led to the N10.2bn reported in PAT; which gave c.42% decline q/q.

From a y/y point of view, both pre-tax and after tax profits came in at c.71% and 45% lower y/y. This was due to the 258% y/y increase in loan impairment charges which reinforced the impact of both the slight weakness in net interest income, down 1.8% y/y and the 29.8%y/y decline in other operating income.

Overall, the result is headlined by weakness across key income statement lines.

Our models are under review. We rate FBNH shares BUY.

Na waoh! See as oando take tidy myjoy enter voice mail. Chai, with his level of optimism and positivity I doubted he would not know his way around so as not to be hit! I really miss his comments here, giving us hope when all seemed bleak ! Although he's stylishly back, its just a matter of time he'll be back with his comments. NSE and Nsempa could be addictive you know!
