The PDP benefited from the absence of APC Senators during the election of Principal officers. It is now ironic that same principle of forced absence has gone against PDP while Saraki benefited in both instances. This situation ends the romance between Saraki and PDP and restores the Senate to APC. I fear for Ekweremadu who's position as Deputy Senate President becomes precarious.

And if all the re ordered election favours APC, the ranks of PDP senators will be further depleted.

Pdp senators were so stupid to have walked out. It has always been majority over minority and trying to buy in saraki is another political blunder. They suppose to know that Saraki's strenght lies in the unity of Apc- saraki became senate president due to disunity and unsettlement in Apc now Apc have started restoring and the restoration is weilding power so it will be hard for saraki to betray the platform that brought him in. Pdp are trying to bank on Apc's disorderliness but right now the gap has been closed!!

This is against the Nigerian Legal system. A person stand innocent until proven guilty and not a person is guilty until proven innocent. This legal priniciple had been used again and agin by the PDP throughout the years, eg, Atiku, Stella Oduah, Buruji and even the present Senate president. This principle had been quote again and again on the floor of the Senate, so it is suprising for PDP to be making a turn around now

Exactly! Besides, if Amaechi wasnt confirmed, it would have set a dangerous precedence, as political opponents will now know all they need to stop you from being a minister is to raise allegations whether true or not
