please does anybody here have the experience of going to the German consulate with a bag and finding a secure way to keep it?
I'm likely going to fall in that position.
Thanks

It's more or less the same, atleast we are all students. The only difference basically is the length of program

Mmmm, I see.. Guessing very few B.sc students went via this thread hence the silence on stuffs like study workload, acco, work, and all that. But you have a point tho. Maybe its just me.

guy no die o. Lol. Weather bsc or msc once you get here, everything becomes new and strange. If you don't tell your neighbor you are here for bsc, they will never know. Like someone mentioned, work load is the only difference and I agree with him/her but I will also say depending on course your studying. Like me, I have 5 compulsory modules and 1 elective. And minimum of 3 most be registered for exam. Lectures from Monday to Friday no free day. While msc have like 2 free days from Monday to Friday.
All the intendings, I will advice you guys to make research on modules of courses you are applying to study and see if you can cope with it. Don't just look at the name of the course. Example resource management can contain physics, chemistry and mathematics and normally with the "management" a lot of pple will conclude it is a social science course. A Lot of Nigerians in my school are now looking for ways to change course because they can't cope with the physics, maths.they don't even have foundation on them. One saying I thought, I thought will not help here. Danke schon

What course are you trying to apply for in Dresden? I believe we don't have much people in Dresden and nothing much have been said about the city. Someone tried to give information about the city, but the information wasn't detailed.

I know that Dresden is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, I also know that cost of living in Dresden is cheaper when compared to Munich, Berlin, Hamburg etc. But I do not know how hustling for international students is in Dresden.

PLEASE I AM NEW HERE AND THIS THREAD HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL, I HAD TO EVEN GO BACK TO THE OLDER THREAD AND IT PAID OFF, MEANWHILE I AM OFFICIALLY HERE TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS THAT HAVE BEEN KEEPING UP WITH IT. I DONT WANT TO CALL NAMES BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW SHOT SOME COMMENTS ARE THEY'VE CONTRIBUTED TO HOW FAR I'VE GONE WITH THIS. YOU MAY NOT KNOW, BUT YOU'VE ALL HELPED A BROTHER. I FOLLOWED ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS WITHOUT POSTING OR COMMENTING. I TRIED AND APPLIED ALL INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN AND EVEN BOOSTED MY CHANCES BY APPLYING DIRECTLY TO SOME SCHOOLS AND THROUGH UNI-ASSIST.

JUST YESTERDAY THE ADMISSION NOTICE ARE STARTING TO HIT MY MAIL, FIRST IS FROM TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ILMENAU MEANWHILE, I AM NOT TAKING TO CHANCE BECAUSE I NEED TO BUY MYSELF MORE TIME TO HUSTLE THAT MONEY, 8K NO BE BEANS!! cheesy cheesy

TO THOSE OF US STILL WAITING FOR OUR ADMISSION NOTIFICATION AND LETTER (YES OH US, BECAUSE I BELIEVE SAY MOST OF THE SCHOOLS FOR UNI-ASSIST TO GIVE ME TOO, AND I AM LOOKING TO OPT TO ONE OF THE, I JUST WANT TO USE THIS FIRST LETTER TO START THE VISA APPLICATION PROCESS) TRUST OGHENE IS INVOLVED AND WE WILL ALL MAKE IT *TEAMWINTER*

BUT THERE IS SOMETHING I NEED TO BE CERTAIN ABOUT BEFORE I PROCEED;

"In order to obtain an appointment Or submission of your visa Application, you are requested to send scans of your admission Letter, proof of financial means as well as your passport data page by email to rk-visa105@lago.diplo.de. An Appointment date will be given to you by return e-Mail."

"Confirmation of blocked German bank account bearing an amount of minimum 7.908,-€. Please note that you can already book an appointment and submit your visa application when having applied for the opening of a blocked account."

DOES THE COMMENTS MARKED RED INSINUATE THAT I CAN ATTACH ALONG THE MAIL THE COMPLETED COPY OF THE BLOCKED ACCOUNT FORM EVEN WHEN IT HAS NOT BEEN CERTIFIED AT THE CONSULATE?

I AM THINKING YES SINCE I CAN STILL HAVE IT CERTIFIED ON THE DAY I WILL BE GOING FOR THE PERSONAL SUBMISSION OF THE VISA APPLICATION.

I MIGHT JUST BE ASSUMING, NOBODY SABI PASS ABEG SOMONE HELP OUT

hi, did you end up going to Tu ilmenau? Hows the place?, i am putting together my application for same.
