I used to think you are intelligent.
I put up a hypothetical statement which has the probability of becoming either true or false thereby dissuading or confirming my fears hence I don't know why the irrational reaction from you.

I wish you respect my personal opinion for which I am entitled to.

I wasn't addressing your concerns rather pointing at the other side of the story he failed to consider.

Till this moment, Israel cannot be boycotted notwithstanding the natural laws among Arabs to boycott Israel. Their inventions in health, science and technology are just admirable and lifesaving beyond hate and religious solidarity.

Igbos are not buycottable and more also Eastern Nigeria is the highest consumers of agricultural products from Northern Nigeria and genuine substantive "foreign" investors in Western Nigeria hence no soured relationship will ensue rather everyone will know and respect other peoples' culture, tradition and rules of doing business better.

Trade and commerce bind people of different orientation together than culture and tradition.

NB: I haven't said anything.
exactly.... you haven't made one sense.

Their is a huge market for Agricultural produce both in Africa and beyond. The north can actually do without the igbos patronize in that regard , If they country is devided. All Nigeria would need to do is enter into compromising partnerships with other African countries for cheaper exports.

The yorubas already have Lagos, a global economic hub that wouldn't even notice it If igbos were gone.

The question is, what have we igbos got to offer? is it land Or resources? The only thin we have going for us is our enterprising spirit and a one Nigeria offers use the best platform to express that. I can never be comfortable staying in a tiny Biafra.

That's still insufficient to stop a course whose time has reached.

Aside skilled abundance human resources Igboland is richly endowed with numerous minerals including crude oil and natural gas. Anambra State alone has an abundance of natural gas. So, what else again do you need?

Goodbye and thanks for the few exchange of comments.

The truth is that I don't have time for people at your level of reasoning and wouldn't like spending my valuable time debating further on a parallel debate like father and mother who is more important as you're dragging the conversation to.

I don't dive into ethnic and political supremacy.

MY BIAFRA NIGERIA DREAM

I will tell you my brief background so that you will understand how hard it was for me to change my mind.
I was born in Abia state, I grew up around elders who told us kids stories about Biafra war and how intelligent Biafra armies were using machetes to out smart Nigeria armies. Beautiful stories of wonders of Biafra scientists, how they constructed airport in few days, built Ogbunaigwe (mass killing bomb) turn a normal airplane to a fighter jet etc. Those stories are inspiring, as they instill in us the believe, we are more superior than any other Nigerian. My slogan then was "the best thing to happen to me is being a Biafran and the worst thing is Being a Nigerian." that show how proud I'm being a Biafran. Last december I went to Aba and saw what my childhood friends were producing, the only obstacle they have is just that they lack finance support to produce in mass, when I came back to lagos, I longed and hunger for Biafra, because I believe it will give my friends more opportunity to flourish. If you check my signature you will see my posts and it clearly showed my support for Biafra and my Desire for it to come to pass. Haven encountered Jesus christ, I use to wait for him mostly before taken decisions. But when it became Biafra I didn't wait for the Lord permission before jumping in, that should tell you how serious Ideology is, it carries passion, you won't care if you leave or die, that's why you don't need to preach too much about Biafra before a real Igbo man will start believing in it. But my change of mind came on the 5/11/15 the Lord opened my eyes to see what's ahead of igbos, I was singing Nigeria anthem in the vision, then the Lord told me to look around, he asked me what did I see? I answered him I saw igbos and he said where? I answered everywhere. He asked me again what are they doing? I answered flourishing, he told me, I will turn Nigeria hate for Igbos into admiration, He told me igbos will dominate Nigeria in future. I'm just saying little of what I heard, God has big plan for Nigeria and east and Niger delta (Biafrans) are at the center of it all, the position they are now in Nigeria is just for a moment. That's not to undermine those who are fighting for Biafra, with what I saw they can get it. But the bigger picture for Biafrans is in Nigeria, all they need to do is just speak with one voice. For the prosperity of Nigeria, I believe is high time Nigeria stop pretending as if Biafra war never took place. We study history so that we will stop killing each other, but dumbness of Nigeria Leaders haven't allowed them access to proper wisdom of re introducing history in our schools. If you look around truly you will see Biafrans everywhere, Biafran own Nigeria more than anybody else. When I say Biafrans now I mean south east and south south, I called them Biafrans as a unifying name not as independent state. Truly speaking Biafrans holds key to Nigeria greatness, is high time Nigeria start to harvest Biafra great minds for the betterment of Africa at large. One Nigeria in future go dey sweet us all.
And you had to put your picture.? You want to open a church?

I honestly don't think the question is whether Biafra would have been viable or not. I personally believe that an Igbo country would flourish - with all our human endowments and natural resources. As per size, there are countries smaller than Biafra that are doing very well.

I think the main thing is heeding the divine mandate. God planned Nigeria the way it is from the beginning and His intentions for the nation which was dreailed and stiffled until now are about to maniest. Judgement is coming to those that think they can sit on the destiny of Nigeria forever. What's about to happen here is for the benefit of Africa and the world at large. We must cue into the divine mandate.

The world shall yet marvel at Nigeria's beauty and greatness.

I haven't seen anyone who understood the massage than you. You are so on point
loannes

It is you who don't understand how divine mandate works.

When God proposes something good for some people, and a section of them wickedly frustrate God's plan. He simply throw them away and work with those who believe in his plan

Eg

Salvation was meant for all Jews but only few Jews embrace Jesus.

What did God do.? Threw away the rest and sent the few to invite the Gentiles.

When God liberated the Jews from the Egyptians, some Jews were not happy with God's plan. What did God do.? Discard them .

God prospered Portiphar because of Joseph. When Portiphar's wife opposed God's plan, what did God do.? Took Joseph away and that blessing ceased.

LET ME TELL YOU ONE THING GOD TOLD ME ABOUT NIGERIA

He kept Nigeria together because of Christianity. Igbos were the missionaries the whites left to continue the mission work. That's why we prospered and Nigeria prospered.

But

Unfortunately, the hate Nigerians have for Igbos blocked God's blessings.

Check history and you will realise that Nigeria started declining when Igbos were sidelined.

Go and seek God's face and you will realise that God has rejected Nigeria because of their hate for the vessel he chose to use. cool

@loannes

If you want to outshine God's vessel, love the vessel and work with them.

Igbos are blessed to lead for a purpose.

If you want your tribesmen to outdo Igbos , love them and accept God's plan in their lives. Then your brothers will enjoy what portiphar and pharaoh enjoyed in the hands of Joseph.

We are the Joseph of Africa.

Thanks for your points op.
I love the Igbo's very much but as long as any tribe brandished the word "dominate" on others, they are bound to suffer. Have you wondered why an average Yoruba's detest an average Igbo?
Reason: Most Igbo's that are not even up to a tenth part of my worth rather than manage a good relationship with you will be living in that fools paradise that he is superior. As long as you tell me you are superior to me, I will just let you wallow in your ignorance and also ensure I deny you my support on the days you need it.
Can't an average Igbo shift his mind away from domination and think compensation?
The only problem they continue to have with Yoruba's is that thing you saw in your dream; "Dominate", a Yoruba man wants respect either you are richer or poorer than him and that is the dignity and quest of all humans.

N.B: historically and till date, Yoruba's are doing extremely well in their endeavor. FYI: I have many Igbo's under me but I have never imagine or contemplated dominating them, I simply respect them and give them the respect I should give any human being. The thoughts of ever dominating anybody is a letter to eternal hatred; same reason why Igbo's hates Hausa/Fulani oligarchy and same reason Ogoni people gave me why they prefer Yoruba's to Igbo: Igbo's wanna dominate them and deride them but in Yoruba culture, prosperity should make you humbler.

But anyway I thank CHRIST for showing you the TRUTH rather than the emotional eccentricism of IPOB and their ilk.

NAIJASOM:
For me personally, it's fundamentally about what type of country will I leave for my children and grandchildren. Sadly, Nigeria embodies the opposite.

I have finally accepted that we are not one and will never be. I have a higher chance of being killed in Nigeria by a fellow country man than outside the country. In other countries, if I become very successful, I am a role model but in Nigeria, they will porposefully create policies to attack my success. One Nigeria indeed.
CreamyBanana:
That is nothing but the truth. I am a Yoruba man from Ondo state but I must say that Yoruba are the most wicked and hypocritical tribe in the world. Don't take their smile as love. They are the devil himself.

A Yoruba man will be laughing with you and be killing you at the same time. All the lecturers I ever had problems with were not only Yoruba but from the same state with me. They will be showing you around as their own brother but behind your back, they will be planning on how to destroy you and make sure you never reach their standards.

Yorubas prefer to destroy their own rather than help them. They don't want those below them to succeed. They always promise and fail. If a Yoruba man promise you a job, just forget it. You will just be wasting your time reminding him.

I have got more helps from Igbos and Hausas than even those that claim to be uncles. The only thing they are good at is making promises that they will never fulfil.

When I was looking for admission, it was an Igbo man that I did not even know from Adams that helped simply because he thought I was Igbo. A Yoruba man will never do that for his brother. Instead, they will be looking for every possible ways to bring him down.

My sister had problems with her supervisor who was a Yoruba man. But I never had a problem with my own supervisor who was a Hausa man.

I don't hate my people. I just hate their hypocrisy. People from other tribes are busy building their people and taking over our lands while we scheme on how to destroy ourselves.

I am in Ife. Please, anyone in Ife should go to Lagere now. All Igbos and Hausas have opened shop while my brothers are still sleeping and scheming evil against one another.

In Ilorin, Igbos, Hausas and Chinese have taken over everything because they keep on grooming and helping their brothers. Yorubas do not know how to build. They only know how to destroy one another.

Yoruba e ronu.
CreamyBanana:
You know I am telling the truth.

Do you know Igbos secrets of how they are taking over Lagos? Because, they will own a shop, train their clansman for a while and help him set up his own business. They are spreading while we are shouting instead of helping ourselves.
dominique:
I'm Yoruba and I painfully agree to some of the things said by the Op. When it comes to being your brother's keeper, most Yorubas are lacking in that regards. My mum told me of an experience she had when her car got stuck in mud. It was the Yoruba guys that told her to pass that area that the road is not that bad. When she did and got stuck, they demanded to push out the car for a fee. She got angry and told them that rather than pay them, she would look for other people to push out the car and pay them. While she was still tongue-lashing them, two Igbo (not sure of their tribe sha) guys came out from their shop and helped her push out the car. She offered them money and they declined. She felt so ashamed for her people, I also felt ashamed. I won't say my people are evil tho. Evil knows no tribe or religion.

Yoruba e ronu tunwada (think and change your acts)
bakynes:
Am Yoruba and you can confirm from my previous comments. I agree with the OP on the point that we don't help ourselves. Even while I was in the UK, I could notice the trend among Yorubas. Indians, Jamaicans, Ghanaians help their brothers and sisters to come to the UK and help them get papers but We Yorubas even report our fellow brothers to the Home office, we don't accommodate our family members new in a foreign country for more than 6 months. WhIle in Nigeria I met with a lot of family friends who had companies but they kept on promising on helping me secure a job. Majority not all like to see you down and want you to keep begging them for money than helping you stand on your own. Igbos on the otherhand setup their brothers to stand on their own.

1* “We do not want our Southern neighbours to interfere in our development. We have never associated ourselves with the activities of these
people. We do not know them, we do not
recognize them, and we share no responsibility in their actions. We shall demand our rights when the time is ripe. If the British quit Nigeria now at this
stage, the Northern people would continue their uninterrupted conquest to the sea”. - Sir Tafawa Balewa (1947)

2* “We the people of the North will continue our stated intention to conquer the South and to dip the Koran in the Atlantic ocean after the British leave our shores.” - Sir Ahmadu Bello (1957)

3* "The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grand father, Othman Danfodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We must use minorities in the North as willing tools and South as conquered territories and never allow them to rule over us or have control over their future
- Sir Ahmadu Bello, October 12,  1960

Ahmadu Bello, arrogantly uttered the aforementioned statement in a multicultural and multi-religious country and got away with it, and many bigots still hold him in high esteem and even shove it down the throats of other people.

4*
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WSosECbcmM

5*...barely six months after independence, Sir Ahmadu Bello was able to say with confidence in the Daily Times of May 3, 1961, the following:
I’m set and fully armed, to conquer the Action Group, AG, in the same ruthless manner as my grandfather conquered Alkalawa, a town in Sokoto province, during the last century.

6*...sometime in 2010, when upon the demise of President Umaru Y'Ardua, indications emerged that his erstwhile deputy, President Goodluck Jonathan, may contest the 2011 presidential election, a prominent chieftain of this same ACF, Lawal Kaita, who was a former Governor of old Kaduna State, threatened that the North would make Nigeria ungovernable, should Jonathan or anyone from the South win the 2011 presidential election, claiming that such would amount to denying the North it's birthright of ruling Nigeria.

7* It is in the same North barbaric statements like this were uttered in 2011: ”BABOON AND DOG WILL BE SOAKED IN BLOOD”. And what was the outcome - carnage and murder of many Southerners and Christians in the North, including many Youth Corps members when Buhari lost the 2011 presidential election?

8* That true to that threat, upon the victory of Jonathan from the 2011 presidential election, massive violence was unleashed from the North by a group which called itself Boko Haram and which repeatedly took responsibility for unending mayhem which began with the killing of Youth Corp members who worked ad-hoc for INEC in that election.

9* As the barbaric killings and destructions reigned, especially with the attack by Boko Haram on the UN Building and Force Headquarters in Abuja, the Lower Niger Congress publicly posited that the nexus between the aforementioned threat by ACF's, Lawal Kaita and the Boko Haram's bloody campaigns summarily destroyed any prospects for keeping the Nigeria Union.

10* "It was, therefore, no surprise that in October 2013, following the bold announcement by President Jonathan, presenting the sudden prospect of revisiting the master-servant constitutional arrangements of Nigeria infuriated the warmongering born-to-rule Caliphate whose cause was championed by the same ACF, and who, supported by their allies from the renegade wing of the Yoruba Southwest,  launched a vicious, frontal attack on the initiative, teaming on the floor of the Conference into a majority, and driving the Conference into its first major decision, i.e. NOT TO DISCUSS THE TERMS OF NIGERIA'S UNITY. The rest of the Conference was a jamboree that provided a luxurious platform for the North/SW Alliance, parading itself as a new political party named APC, to fine-tune their violent March to the do-or-die 2015 general elections."

Take it or leave it, that's the bitter truth!

How could you justify a southern neighbour ganging up with the enemy to almost wipe out Easterners in the name of 'One Nigeria'?

How could you explain 'vote Ambode or perish in the lagoon'?

How could you explain the looting of Igbo shops and closing down their markets at the flimsiest excuse?

How do you explain Yorubas accusing Igbos for Falae's abduction even when Falae revealed that Fulani herdsmen kidnapped him?

Despite the onslaught of Fulani herdsmen in SW do you see Yorubas unleash agberos and areas boys to go loot and shut Alaba Rago, Mike 12 and other markets operated by Northerners?

Despite the insults of Kwankwaso and other groups on Yorubas and their leaders do Yorubas dare challenge Hausa/Fulani people and the teeming Northerners flocking to Lagos?

So, your God is now taking side? Just a quick reminder please - south south is not part of your Biafra republic. Let's get that out of the road fast.

As for me, I'm all for the actualization of your fraudulent republic(south east states). And when that happens, we should deport every Igbo man back to Biafra and build a giant 6 meter fence around your land.

I'm sure your elders would find a way to re-dig their LongJuju routes to sell more slaves.

only the Igbos claim they're the best in the world at every corner. That's why everyone hates you wherever you go - Ghana or South Africa.

With all your silly rants you still could not man up to identify and be identified by your ethnic group.

It has been sounded loud and clear that IPOB don't need traitors or treacheerous backstabbers. IPOB quest is not for weak-minded fellows and lazy bigots who are only satisfied with the few crumbs their slave masters throw at them.

Frustrated Neanderthal savage, stop creating unnecessary attention for yourselves. This is a free world and so the earlier you channel your negative energies towards consolidating your OduaArewanistan republic where you're most needed as slavish, loyal subjects the better for your survival.
