News reaching me from my homestate is that The PDP has an Excellent case to upturn the Governorship Tribunal's judgement at the court of appeal because Aisha's Petition was NOT ABOUT MR DARIUS' ELIGIBILITY which the court based it's judgement on but ON FAIRNESS OF THE ELECTION.

THE PETITIONER SUBMITTED A PETITION ON THE CREDIBILITY OF THE ELECTIONS AND NOT ON MR DARIUS' ELIGIBILITY!

The tribunal delivered a completely different judgement on a non-existent application!

Clearly, they were acting a script.

I wholeheartedly welcome Nigerians to change.
Mam, I watched the tribunals verdict live on tvc, some few minutes before the time of that tweet.

I think I need a refresher course on the clause "long before"

This makes little sense in explaining this case. If this decision stands then Samuel Ortom might as well lose
Wait Ortom what's Ortom's own?

hahahaha, not only the appeal court could decide, supreme court wil decide

The PDP guys in Benue State claimed Ortom didn't officially resign as a PDP member before going to the APC who welcomed him with open arms. It's like they lost the case. I lost track of the case when I left Benue.

Still the same problem with the former statement. If we are to move forward as a country Justifying a perceived evil to an established evil cannot be justified.

What then happens to Samuel Orton who didn't even officially resign from PDP before picking the APC slot but still king today? Is this your idea of a great nation?
Unfortunately, this will not make sense to thel likes of Gbawe and other NL party 'stakeholders' who do not seem to realize that not everyone feeds off the PDP/APC e-battles.

Your submission is very valid as this ruling if it stands ultimately means that Terhemen Tazoor of Benue State PDP automatically becomes the governor of Benue state since in the case of Benue, the APC primaries didn't even hold at all. Sometimes I wish we could discuss these issues without the interference of PDP/APC self-appointed e-riff raffs throwing tantrums. If only wishes were horses. Hahaha.

-( I) Subject to subsection (2) of this section, if the Triounal or the Court as the case may be, determines that a candidate who was returned as elected was not validly elected on any ground, the Tribunal or the Court shall nullify the election.
(2) Where an election tribunal or court nullifies an election on the ground that the person who obtained the highest votes at the election was not qualified to contest the election, the election tribunal or court shall not declare the person with the second highest votes as elected, but shall order a fresh election.

I have seen that APC is bent on something undemocratic.

The only hope PDP has is to stand against the jugdement of the tribunal on the grounds that the tribunal doesn"t have the power on pre Election Matters..
Cos gover ishiaku was not properly appointed by the Party, cos the Primary was supposed to be Done in the state..INEC warn Pdp they way they conduct their primaries but they never Listen

PDP is the architect of it's own failure..
But supreme court decides Rotimi Ameachi matter as d validly elected gubernatorial flagbearer even if it is a Pre-election matter,so called "pdp's family affair". grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

It is PDP that has destroyed Nigeria's democracy and the entire world knows this. Did OBJ and the PDP not conduct, according to international observers, "the worst election in the history of the world" supervised by the dirtiest Umpire of them all i.e Maurice Iwu? You lot are quick to forget such lows in our history that damn and indict the PDP as a rogue Party fond of brazen electoral malpractices and routinely denying Nigerians their right to be led by leaders of their choice. We are now in an era of revisionism, from the PDP and her fans, so I am not surprised the new tactics is to portray the PDP as the victim while blaming others for the misfortune the PDP brought upon itself.
Obj has now transferred d impunity to Apc cos he is now Apc navigator

Now the tribunal panel has nailed themselves. This simply shows that the panel didn't understood the prayers of the petitioner and the plea of the respondent in the first instance. Now let's see what the appeal court will decide on this matter!

If you look at the Taraba Tribunal live updates thread, you'll see that even APC folks didn't quite expect the turnout in favour of Alhassan as witnessed today.

Despite the crowd Jimi pulled in Lagos, it would have been a miracle to see him win.
How much more someone who's squarely hated in Taraba.
I like your fonts. How can I get it?

No. He appealed the court's ruling. If this Taraba judgment holds, the he has quite a strong case. I think.

Why putting the blame on APC there was this HOR member that lost his seat based on the fact that he his not yet up to 30yeara old.Why dint u say then that PDP was @ fault.

An eye for eye,
Tooth for tooth.
When PDP were busy impeaching APC governors on misappropration while their governors were wallowing in corruption it was then a job well-done.
Power have now changed hands let's allow this regime to do their power play.
