Make the correction in the printout and make a note of it before submitting at the visa centre

Thanks for your response, but I am unclear about your suggestion. Do you mean I should correct it with a pen?

@justwise, is standard visa same as regular visa for someone visiting on tourism?

Hello all,

My Wife and I are ILR holders and intend to invite my parents over next summer for a 6 week holiday
We intend attaching the following documents
1. Copies of our permits
2.Tenancy agreement
3.Council tax bill
4.Our Payslips
5.Statements
6.Invitation letter
Would like to know if other additional documents are required
My Dad runs a petroleum company but I am not sure he has a separate personal account, he has 3 houses in Lagos and he his doing fine
My mum runs her business as well
What documents are required of them to compliment the ones we are sending

Thank you so much

Nice, your mother is good to go if you can give us more information, like who is her financial sponsor? Whoever it is should include a six months bank statement(original copy) especially if it is from a Nigerian Bank, evidence of income(original) e.g business registration, tax documents, business contract documents, property deeds(photocopy) also include evidence of relationship to her sponsor e.g marriage certificate and family photos if your father is sponsoring, she can add her own business documents(original) and bank statement.

Hello, still need confirmation on if i need both my personal tax clearance and my company's or just my company's tax certificate (3years).

Your company's tax certificate alone will do and you don't need to submit the whole three years, your latest tax certificate will be ok. This is if the business is your only source of income.

Yes that will do but....dont cross more than one line on top of it, just a line will do then write your current passport number beside it. Then make a note of a line or two explaining why you cancelled the previous number.

Pls house i need help! Graduated frm uni last yr, rounded up nysc last month! Wantu visit d ul next month (dec) fr 2 weeks! I have a sponsor wit property documents n fat accnt bal but we dont share same surname!

My questions are:
- does d sponsor have to share same surname?

- wat documents do i need from him?

- as d applicant, do i need to submit my own bank statement along side his? As i avnt made any tangible money in d last 6six mtns asides nysc alawee

- how much is d visa fee? N how do i go abt it?

Il appreciate a detailed responsonce house! God bless us all

Your sponsor does not have to share the same surname with you, but there should be evidence of genuine relationship between you two.

He will need to submit all the necessary documents required for sponsorship, you can cross check from www.gov.uk or You can also try to be more specific about your sponsor's occupation for us to help you

You will need to submit your own bank statement to increase your chances of getting your visa. However, in your case it seems you do not have considerable funds in your account, it will be difficult for you to convince them about the genuineness of your intention to travel and return back home

please, kindly advise,

I applied for and was twice refused a US visa in 2014, that application was completed by an agent who falsified information about my marital status, parents names and their date of birth. Including false information about my academic qualifications and work details stating that I am a field engineer going for a training seminar whereas I am a nurse. however, my biodata were correct.
Now, I am applying for a UK study visa to pursue a nursing degree and I am worried of my prevous records/experience with the US refusal since I have to state in my application that I was denied US visa in the past.

Will UKBA find out details about information supplied to US immigration?
what informoation will they share about applicants records?

The refusals in your passport will raise a bit of concern for the ECO, you can however clarify it by writing a detailed letter of explanation (a lawyer can also help in clarifying this in writing) you should also include a detailed letter of purpose for your intended trip. This is of course is to be done with the inclusion of all necessary required documents

Your chances of getting a visa is very remote because you don't have tie to Nigeria.

I have just completed the NYSC and currently still working where I served earning 25k monthly. On the other hand, I have been receiving 100k monthly from my dad as well as 30k from my senior sister making my minimum monthly income to be 155k. These monies have been paid to me monthly since i returned to nigeria following my graduation in december 2014. Prior to now I have been issued 5 UK visas over the last five years (three C-visit visas and 2 tier-4 visas) and have made 11 entries to the UK between 2010 and now. In addition, I have been issued three schengen visas over the last 18 months and have visited France, Holland, Germany , Spain(twice) and Portugal over the last one year.
However, I wish to visit the UK for christmas and will like to seek your advice on how to present my finances as I have three sources of income monthly (PPA stipend, allowance from my dad and allowance from my sis). Lastly , I have a bank balance of 800K built over time as debit and credit transactions has been taking place on my account over time

Hello, you travel history seems good. If you are sponsoring your self, include all evidence of the incomes you have stated here. It seems money from your dad is your major source of income? He can also be your financial sponsor if you choose.

Okay. Thanks. However as a working adult don't you think it will be hard to justify why my dad should sponsor my trip ?

Though he has 400k presently in his salary account. the budget for the trip is 800k. Two dependants but not traveling with us.

Start by filling your application. No one can fill your income and expenditure for you, but we can only advise you when we see your budget breakdown.

Your Budget must commensurate with your personal and financial circumstances in Nigeria. Therefore it is advisable to always prepare a mini budget.

Since you have a budget of N800k. Tell us you and your Husband's Monthly Income and closing balance?

Thanks alot Mate, God bless you

FrontPageLawyer:
@abode

Since you're providing accommodation. You need to send your mortgage bill, utility bill, copy of your passport data page with clear evidence of your immigration status in the UK. A letter of invite clearly stating that you will accommodate and provide feeding for your parents during their stay in the UK.

For your parent. Your father should sponsor the trip and provide his Company's Certificate of Incorporation issued by CAC, Three years Tax Clearance Certificate from FIRS, Personal Income Tax Card from State Government, Bank statements, Certificate of Occupancy, contract documents, way bills, Sale and Storage licences from Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Lifting Right Permit also from DPR and other documents which can proof as their ties to Nigeria.

Best Wishes.

Thanks. I have started the form . Was at crossroad as to how best to do that
My savings closing balance is 1m. I also have a 100k in my salary acct. I don't keep my fund in my salary account.Tbills investment in my name is 2m matures this week and not rolling over so my balance will be 3m . Salary 280k after tax, annual 4.4
Hubbys closing bal is 400k;salary 325k after tax
But the budget is 800k for 8days trip

I made the conversion on oanda, it's 2619pounds as at Today
Having written all above, please advise on the expenditure breakdown and am I to fill same amount on each person's form?considering the fact that we are using one hotel reservation ?and who should sponsor?or do we sponsor self independently?or co sponsor?

thankss

Yes passport goes along with your documents to Shielfield, And they can always give you your passport any time you request for it.

My advice, hold on for them to reach out to you first, they will surely guide you on what to do.

Why were you refused the visa?

It's important you addressed the first refusal before submission of another application.

Do not get fixated on an invitation, you do not need that. (book hotel)
The two BIG things are
Strong ties to return home after your visit.
Sufficient funds for the trip and reliable income.

I got my visa today. Am so happy. I applied again after d first one was rejected. I stated emphatically that my Tbills means funds which is readily available to me and that probably the ECO overlooked it.

Now I want to ask, must I use d hotel I used in my aplication? I intend booking another one again.

Tnx all for your responses.

No
But make another reservation and MAKE SURE that it is valid,
and they can be contacted by officer when you go through point of entry.

Hello Justwise

I have lodge the spouse refusal appeal for my husband here in the UK and the tribunal have taken the fee of £140 last two weeks. Please how long does it take to hear back from them if the ECO will overturn the decision or it will go to court.

My apologies for the statement. I have only been granted US visa not refused so I assumed it is stamped as they do in UK. Yes, eyebrows will be raised by the UK ECO regarding your refusal especially if your reason for refusal involves discrepancies. You may think everything is in order but I can point a few things that do not appear as such. Your previous attempts to travel to US recently, was it for visit or study purpose? If it is for study then you stand a much better chance of convincing the UK Eco as it is in line with your present purpose of visit, however if it was in the tourist category then you are only raising suspicions regarding your real intention of visiting. The ECO may likely think you are trying all means to leave the country. If I was in your shoes, I will have applied for the same category of visa I choose in my US application or allow a period of at least two to three years before applying, that way I will appear more genuine. But all hope is not lost, use a letter from a lawyer to explain the US refusals in detail. Another way is just write a very detailed letter of purpose, if the refusals were not under study category(avoid mentioning it in the letter, as they can already see it in your form). Give reasons why you choose UK for study and the particular course, tell them your goal and how the course will help you actualize it. Make sure you tell them your intention to return to the country at the completion of your course(and pray your application is treated by an empathetic ECO).

Okay. Thanks. However as a working adult don't you think it will be hard to justify why my dad should sponsor my trip ?

It is not hard because of the fact that he is your dad, also since you already have a travel history and your dad may have sponsored you at some point it is unlikely you will have issues. You can also sponsor yourself if you want, but how do you intend to explain the inflow of money from your father your account? You can decide to get a letter of sponsorship and all necessary business documents from him, as you are still receiving the bulk of your income from him. Also include evidence of your job and your finances
