welcome my friend cheesy

There's nothing corrupt about SYSTEMSPECS getting paid for developing REMITA to assist CBN in achieving transparency through TSA.

The joke is on the guys claiming 'fraud' and putting it on PMB. It was signed under Sanusi amd GEJ and the owners are from your tribe and my tribe so agabaI23 and theV0ice have cases to answer cheesy

I know how much my former bank paid INFOSYS of India to get us on FINACLE and i know how much my current company is paying for using the SAP software.

If the senate doesn't want CBN to pay that sum, then CBN should put it's in-house IT gurus to task to develop their own cheesy

How you dey my brother? wink

Igbo oh, Yoruba oh, Hausa oh, All i insist is they should all be probed, because what business deal is this kind? 1% of the whole Nigerian money to one private company? This is Madness, then Wtf is C.B.N doing if it cant handle that area because to me its the largest. No wonder when Ncc Earnest Ndukwe was boss in Ncc he has seen so much money that he cared less about Nigerians to enforce a reductions in tarrifs, they should all be probed and forced to pay up those loots.

The company provides financial services and they get paid a commission for their services. FG contracted them (in 2012) to undertake the TSA remittance from all banks to the CBN. In a couple of months, they handled the transfer of some trillions of Naira to the CBN and they got paid their commission as agreed in the contract. The real question is, "why did the FG in 2012 give out this contract to an independent company?... Why didn't the CBN handle the contract themselves?"

On this issue, both the FG under GEJ (who signed the contract with this company) and the FG under PMB (who rushed to implement the TSA without spotting this anomaly), both administrations have question to answer on this. I dont think the company involved has done anything wrong, going by the reports so far.

Good! but get it CBN cannot do it by themselves banks dont develop software applications...software companies do this and the contract it out to banks...Quickteller, Paydirect, Mastercard, Verve, Etranzt, Vogue pay and etc are all developed for Banks and these company charge on each transaction fee made...CBN will have to contract it out this is global standard. there was a selection process many companies such as interswitch, oracle, NIBISS, Alpha Beta came forth with their proposition Remita was well suited and therefore selected!

You are a fooolish, senile and mentally deranged devilish witch!

First of all, when did the name "OBARO" become an Igbo name? Your psyche has been so terribly damaged that you find it difficult to reason better than a lizard.

SO you're trying to tell me that Ernest Ndukwe, an ex-executive Vice Chairman of the NCC would be given a contract to provide solutions to the public sector because he is Igbo and the people at the helm of affairs were also Igbo? Do you reason with your breast?

Didn't you read their profiles? Do these men look like low life sumbags like you? Isn't it possible that each of them has made vital connections during their career that has spanned over 20 years?

Besides, is Jonathan the only president with a "legacy" of corruption in Nigeria? The same Ernest Ndukwe, wasn't he appointed to be head of NCC by Olusegun Obasanjo?

And why must you exclude Christopher Kolade from your accusations? Isn't he aware of the activities of the company?

You're nothing but a mad stoopid woman! You and the other useless mad woman that made a comment in this thread.

What exactly is the problem with this commission on TSA? We are talking of a system that is taking in a liability of 2.5trillion naira and all that we are after is just 25billion naira. I don't blame Nigerians, it's those pirates at the Computer Village Ikeja that I blame. They made it impossible for us to buy genuine softwares. That is why it is increasingly difficult to have a fully Nigeria made software that will be of global standard. What is their crime in charging 1% for crying out loud? Can't we look at it from the other angle that if anything happens to the 2.5trillion these guys would have been indebted to that tune? So how much is 25billion compare to 2.5trillion.

There should be a limit to the way we play politics sometimes.

Oga. Considering the amount involved. 1% is pretty ridiculous. It's a bloody software and it really sends digital money. Remita was not designed for the purpose of TSA. It just happened. All that happened was record updates from banks to CBN. I doubt if any physical cash was involved. Even if CBN calls in a consultant to build a software solely for this, would it even cost 1b naira. Outsourcing and privatization has created another window for fraud. Work that can be done in house is now made to look like rocket science. How much is a states monthly allocation? And 1 company claims to make some states 2 year allocation in one swoop moving government money. No wonder we don't have jobs. There is more to this story. Buharis hands cannot be clean. If they are, then we are in more trouble than I thought. He is totally incompetent. Maybe remita should be responsible for this 5k to the unemployed because a serious government would consider those before allowing one company work away with this much money. I don't like Dino Melaye but he did good on this one.

I believe you are right. Fund handling comes with a major cost globally and companies which render these services charge a handsome commission. The 1% commission in the light of the massive amount involved is actually the bone of contention here.

This revelations now bring to fore the wastage in our system. I remember the fight between APC and PDP laying claim to who introduced T.S.A into the system having seen the advantages that accrued to it.

I hope same people who fought for or against will now be bold to accept the responsibilities of the wastage of fund that would have been plough to the federation account should the C.B.N. had handled same services.

At times, most people out of emotional attachment and affiliations to a political party dive to conclusion to claim certain policies as their initiatives but will be quick to drop it like a hot coal when same policies boomerang or have some shady arrangements underneath.

Just like AlphaBeta owns by Jagaban, who provide financial services to Lagos and some neighboring states with a certain % attached based on amount they can generate for the state, same seems to be applicable to RAMOTA (sorry i mean REMITA) company.

the question to ask is?

Can't our agencies handle such services and why contact such services to third parties knowing fully well amount that would have been saved for the nation should it have been handled by govt Agencies.

the govt as a matter of urgency should review all such related contractual services to close the gap of all loopholes that are avoidable and channel same savings to fulfill their promises to the masses.

I would have been happy if the company can render free services as a base of contributing to the nation by helping us gather the needed Database for the jobless and unemployed so that the govt can start payments of #our5k and other contractual promises that was hinged on lack of database for execution.

Company Profile

Founded in 1991, SystemSpecs has since emerged as a leading provider of e-Payment, Financial, and Human Capital Software Solutions for the Nigerian and African environment.

Chairman: Christopher Kolade

Dr. Christopher Kolade, Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, is the Chairman, Board of Directors of SystemSpecs.

http://www.systemspecs.com.ng/about-us/people/christopher-kolade/

Managing Director: John Obaro

John started SystemSpecs about 22 years ago after reaching the peak of a fulfilling career in the Banking industry. His decision in 1992 to break away from a successful and promising career in regular employment at IMB came as a shock to many because IMB was widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s top?notch banks.

He, however; went to start up SystemSpecs which commenced then as a partner agent of Systems Union, UK offering a foreign accounting software and moved on to developing and nurturing a firm that has since become Nigeria’s foremost indigenous software house with about 150 talented Nigerians from various backgrounds and disciplines.

http://www.systemspecs.com.ng/about-us/people/john-obaro/

Other Directors of the company includes:

Mr Emmanuel Ocholi

Mr. Emmanuel Ocholi is an Economist, a Stockbroker and a Banker of high repute with experience spanning over three decades. After graduating with a second-class upper in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Mr. Ocholi had an impressive banking career in NAL Merchant Bank between 1976 and 1986 from where he moved to become the Executive Vice Chairman of Rims Merchant Bank between 1988 and 1994.

Dr. Ernest Ndukwe

Dr. Ernest Ndukwe an Electrical/Electronics Engineer, with over 37 years’ experience in the Telecommunications Industry. A former Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission between 2000 and 2010; Dr. Ndukwe was responsible for the level of transparency recorded at the NCC, which resulted in the liberalization of the Telecommunications Industry and significant investment in the sector.

Mr Deremi Stands

Although he has become a well-respected name in the IT industry, Deremi did not study IT in the university! A graduate of physics, by sheer inquisitiveness, probing and persistence, Deremi has cut a niche for himself not only in SystemSpecs but also in the Nigerian IT terrain. Very much at home and current on IT trends and issues, he is a strategic player in the SystemSpecs team.

Dr. Emmanuel Eze

Gentle, amiable, conscientious and highly innovative are some of the best ways to describe Emmanuel. He is very intelligent and strongly self-motivated personality.

The company is owned by John Obaro and Ernest Ndokwe, two Igbo men, and the only reason this corrupt arrangement is in place is because the then Minister of Finance, was Igbo. Central Bank Governor, Igbo. Then Secretary to the Federal Government, Igbo. Then add the utterly confused and ignorant President.

But Igbos would want us to believe that Yorubas and Hausas are solely responsible for ruining this country! How can you put 1% of the entire evenue of a country to a single company, and the remaining 170 million people get to share 99%. For what? This is a company that simply provides a one-off software, that you can buy for less than $100,000 (N20 million) and can be maintained by less than 30 people. Yet, they are carting away with N50 Billion naira.

It is part of the Jonathan legacy of corruption. Just imagine that Jonathan won, this nonsense of contract will have continued for years to come.

I confirm that Chief Kolade is Chairman and not a shareholder in this company. Companies who seek government contracst often put 'highly respected' members of the company as paid Chairman of their company. The That is why ex President Gowon is Chairman of several companies but he is not the owner of these companies. They just use these men/women as the public face of the companies. Other than Mr Obara and Ndokwe, the other directors listed by the Op are all employees of the company, not shareholders.
Only willfully ignorant would have us believe that a chairman of legally registered company is not an active owner... Have u ever head of Companies and Allied Matter Act?? Stop spewing ignorance from the bottomless pit of ur dumbness.
