Let us not derail the thread. i will just urge you to stop talking because your dishonesty and revisionism is sickening . Assuming what you accuse Tinubu of is correct, are you making sense to yourself or anyone here? The same Tinubu has now helped us gain Buhari as President to replace the destructive GEJ you supported who happened to hate the SW in particular and called the leaders of the region "rascals". Do I need to chronicle the real damage GEJ has done to Nigeria your ilk were begging him to continue doing for another 4 years? Dude, just discuss positives and cut out the hypocrisy and pretensions of piousness. Tinubu is a very big hero to the Yorubas when placed alongside your GEJ.

People like you are better off begging the Yorubas for forgiveness instead of coming here and trying your 'holier than thou' nonsense. Tinubu has done a lot of positives for his people and even Nigeria with how he, more than almost all others, contributed the most to make Buhari President from birthing the idea of the APC merger and actually putting in his personal effort and finance to make it happen on the long and tortuous road to depose the PDP and the very destructive GEJ. It is therefore very disgusting that it is you who supported a man on a personal mission to disgrace and mess up the Yorubas, i.e GEJ, who is now here playing uber Yoruba patriot. Just face the topic and shut up. You are beginning to really piss me off. You should come on this thread and behave with humility because you were a supporter of the PDP and GEJ when both harmed your own ethnic group and Nigeria seriously. Very likely Nigerians would be Syrian-style refugees had GEJ even carried on for another year. Yet, distastefully, you show no contrition at all and are busy attacking those who liberated our entire nation from sure doom. Even when when incontrovertible evidence showed you the destruction GEJ was supervising you still wanted him to carry on leading Nigeria and you now have the nerve to round on Tinubu? Like I said before, some of you are something else.
It will be very unfortunate if a true Yoruba person can't see the deceit and hypocrisy in that Firefire guy. He is a well known PDP pay per post person and a die hard GEJ( his benefactor)supporter, even though the Yorubas were heavily marginalised in his government (and tried to buy the SW with dollars when his fraudulent regime was at its tail end).
The guy is a chamelion...and he has an agenda on this thread. it's sad that some people are actually taking his bait

And because you derived no benefit from Dimeji Bankole, you should sell your portion for a plate of 'Tuwo'

And what was the enthroned speaker in place of Mulikat Akande have to say about the next crowned speaker that flopped...

"Mr. Dogara is more competent, accommodating and more capable to lead than Mr. Gbajabiamila, Mr. Tambuwal said, and added “sentiments have to be put aside”.

“When he contested the Speakership, this may sound vainglorious; I single-handedly pushed his (Tambuwal) Speakership bid, not to talk of his presidential bid. But he must have reasons for doing what he did” – Femi Gbajabiamila, on Channels TV, Wed, August 26, 2015.

Can you please stop this nonsense? You have gone on and on about the ills of APC but haven't once proffered a solution to any of the issues plaguing us as a region. It is obvious you are more concerned about your party and in turn your pocket than you are about the Yoruba nation (that is if you are truly Yoruba). We don't need this here, please!

@iyalode, please ignore the anonimi character as he/she is not Yoruba.

@all, I have a few observations as I am one of the silent followers of this thread;

1. I saw that some of you took swipes at two popular posters (ar3sa and passingsh0t). In all honesty, I don't believe that was necessary. You don't win people over by insulting them plus a lot of people have multiple monikers on this board.

2. There are people who follow this thread religiously but do not contribute either because they do not know a lot about the politics in the south west or do not live in Nigeria and this thread serves as a place to learn. Therefore, when these people have a contrary opinion to most of the thread's contributors, can we please answer or state our case without insinuating that because they do not contribute often, they have no right to air their opinion.

The solution is simple- the leaders looters should stop STEALING our commonwealth and provide the BASICS of societal developement like Awo did 60 years ago and the five UPN governors some 30 years ago. Things like:

- free & compulsory education for all children.
- tap water
- health clinics and general hospitals
- good roads
- metro/light rail

I provided answers already but since you missed it and today is Generous Sunday, let me post it again for you:

N350bn debt: DMO didn’t include Osun local debt –Akinwusi

Governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Osun State, Mr. Olusegun Akinwusi yesterday said the disclosure by the Debt Management Office, DMO, that Osun State debt portfolio is sustainable, did not take into cognisance the local debt the present administration has incurred.

Hosting owners of private schools and hoteliers in Osogbo, Akinwusi urged indigenes of the state not to believe the statement from DMO that the state debt is manageable.

He said: “The truth of the matter is that the DMO is only talking about Osun’s foreign debt which was about N60 billion. DMO was not referring to local debt which I insist is over N350 billion going by documents available. Just few weeks ago, another N21.3 billion debt was taken from two commercial banks.”
