thanks for answering, do i need visas for all these airlines that stop in their countries? what do you think of atl poe?i used the search button and checked and it wasnt bad, are they preggie friendly? please can i pm you? shame don dey catch me with my one million questions

Chai... and I'm not a very good teacher. how we go do am now eh?
Many airlines fly to JFK in New York and Newark is in New Jersey but it's a stone throw to New York. If not that you are avoiding Chicago, as a first time traveller and preggie again, the logistics of changing airport can be tiring.

You can fly air France, klm, turkish, emirates, royal air Maroc, to these destinations but they will first land in their countries before heading to JFK, although JFK remains your POE, then buy domestic ticket that will take you to chicago. But the small issue is on your return, you will be stressed out using JFK out of US especially with your bags, a new baby etc.

And you are looking for cheap tkt if not I would have advised you do Lagos-JFK when going and Chicago - Lagos on your return but it just might cost a little higher than usual.

Azzin! You have a lot of legitimate questions though.
No you don't need visas for any stopover in those countries. You can PM me, but I don't have all the answers, will only try my best.
I have no idea about Atl POE, I've always used JFK for all my trips to US, maybe cos I'm a New Yorker at heart, except for my last trip where I went in through Chicago

Hello All, so i am unexpectedly back here. Just discovering i'm pregnant. though i had my baby in US the last time without hitch thanks to this thread; i have to change location of visit this time. Anyone has info on CNM (Certified Nurse Midwife) around Arlington Texas?
i registered with one the last time and it was very cost effective. if your planned delivery is by VB and they always have surgeons available in case an emergency CS needs to be done.
Any info please help. PS: it's hospital birth o

I know Harrison Methodist in Fort Worth has CNMs. For birth center CNMs special beginnings in grand praire and fort worth birth center have CNMs. Dont know anything about their packages though, I use CPMs.

Hi all, I have a little challenge on my hands and need all d help I can get from this forum. DH was to join me on this trip to assist during delivery & post delivery. Until lately, his office refused to release him cos of a project dat cant be handed over and I am scheduled to port by weekend.

I need to quickly get an early interview date in Lagos so that my mum can join me, was up all night but earliest date was Dec 23 & baby will be past due by then. I rem we have gurus who are good with this date thing. Abeg biko o as this has destabilised me as to coping all alone.
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by cinakin: 8:54am On Nov 16, 2015
You can use the emergency date, but you will be asked to scan some documents. If you qualify you will be emailed, try and have letter from your doctor and a letter accepting you in the us. That's what a friend of mine did and was granted

I'm not sure I understand this your story oh.... but I'm think you have gone 4 birthing once and now want to go for anoda.. - (sharp-sharp wink) but you r concerned about renewing ur visa. However, since you say u declared the pregnancy and sent the change of intent letter to the embassy, I don't think you'll have any difficultly with renewal - as long as you can show that u paid all your bills.

Drop box renewal does not require any additional documents other than your international passport, application print out, ds 160 confirmation page and your passport photograph, so the issue of showing she paid her bills will not be required except she is invited to the embassy.

Why people wait till the last minute to apply for their visas baffles me. Deciding to give birth in a new country is serious business, and one's planning should start EARLY and be to a T! All this rush over nothing is really your fault. Any way, hopefully u get date and is granted. Good luck.

Hi all, been a silent follower of this thread and said I will post my experience once I port. Will like to thank all that have contributed it help immensely.i went through part 1-3and d info I got helped. Prayer and burden of proof cannot be overemphasized. I got my visa when I was 3 moths pregnant for vacation, I wasn't asked if I was pregnant during the interview(lucky me). I stumbled on this thread shortly after. I digested it inside out and proceeded on my missionary journey via BA to newyork enroute New Jersey.went with almost 11k thanks to Travelex changing at 196 .found Gods favor all d way. Got to POE and met dis evil CBP.asked purpose of visit, told him to deliver collected all my docs and took me secondary inspection by himself. Handed me to one guy saying she was pregnant during interview and she didn't declare. The other Guy said it doesn't matter as far as she has her money and docs. He was still arguing o, see me see trouble. After the guy told him to go Bac to his post that he will sort me out.the guy left reluctantly.after 10 mins he called me up, asked if I was pregnant during interview I said yes, he then asked y I wanted to give birth I and better healthcare bla bla. Stamped me in till may, said if I needed to stay longer I should notify immigration for an extension and to always keep my receipts. ThankGod for divine favor and thanks to all nairalanders who contributed to this thread. Any new jersey moms around , pls holla

Please I want to confirm if you did your test in Nigeria before travelling, how much you did them all and where you did the tests cos the price quotation am getting at a state diagnostic centre is N64,100 and I believe is too much. The price for oakbend is 300dollar which is like N60k plus too.

Thanks

Well sometimes people are waiting for money so their account statement will be presentable- upfront, quarterly payment, etc

I think the interview date she is requesting is actually for her mum to help assist her since her hubby cant make it.

It takes 10 months on average to be pregnant. U have 7 months to plan b4 any sudden arrival of ur baby, if the money never enter by the 7th month, then just relax as e no be God's plan.
Then again if it's for her mum, she should relax and travel alone. Her mama can quietly get her interview date and travel. Without all this fire brigade mode.
