you are the illiterate here because you cannot divorce a city which is a product of the state. In other words city or town is inside the state so all of them must be judged generally. This is the same mentality Africa is backward.
u mean if we are to consider the HAND, that means we must be talking about the entire BODY.
Where the hell are u 4rm?

Bros I said Uyo is in the south south. South South has no 'east word' in it. If u are referring to the old eastern region then delta state should not be in your analysis because the old bendel state(Ben for Benin while Del for delta) were part of the old western region before the formation of mid-west. Are u 12 years old, how can u call someone who legitimately correct u an illiterate. You must be one hell of an ingrate.
Guy he's not talking about geo-political zone,ie southsouth n southeast. He's talking about d location of Uyo in map of Nigeria. Uyo is in d east!

I think Enugu looks pretty decent. Here are some pictures I took during my last trip there with family.

1) Taking a drive

2) Shop rite

3) neighborhood

4) Lawn tennis at blue island.

Why are people always making mistake in believing that if you don't have a high rising buildings, then the said place shouldn't be regarded as a city. Is unfair to downgrade Uyo on this assumption. Even before Uyo started having roads, the place was already set for greatness. While a Maritime Academy Student at Oron, I frequent there once in a while in 2005, always look calm and peaceful with nice vegetations sprang almost in every part of the state. There are many European countries without all these high rising buildings but still stand tall with their counterparts elsewhere.
no body is saying uyo isn't beautiful. We know it is. When compared to other all the other cities it ranks higher except for Enugu.
Owerri is known for high social life but in terms of infrastructures, it is no where to be found. Asaba is also good (my sweet home), but still lacking in infrastructures. I don't like Onitsha and aba because the two are dirty!

now I know you don't have anything to share. your state is so so backward because ordinary public school is lacking in it. cheesy

[quote author=mployer post=40549476]Owerri is cool. I miss that town everyday. Clean environment with over 80% educated and reasonable people.

Owerri is it mehn but one man, a passenger
and a bird of passage is fvcking up things there. Last time I was there, people wore gloomy look on their faces despite the ambient beauty of ala owerri. I dont know why.

When in Port Harcourt can you compare with independence layout? Can you compare Enugu GRA with PH GRA. Ph that has only one expressway? PH is overrated, there is more money in ph yes but Enugu is a better city than PH.. I don't think you know Enugu
Apart from the fact that there is more money in Ph, there is equally very beautiful areas like old GRA, cocain estate etc that suppases anything enugu has to offer. Enugu is a very tiny town compare to Ph. I bet you are not even resident in enugu because I can't imagine a youngster living in enugu. Its quite unpleasant.

I'm fascinated by cities and recently I have been on the road in the east. I have visited Enugu, Owerri and Aba briefly and u intend spreading my tentacles soon. I stayed longer in Owerri and the truth is, I never expected what I saw in Owerri. I was expecting it to be one of those normal towns. I really didn't expect the kind of city life it possesses. One thing that tickled my fancy is the fact that it has a high population of educated folks especially students.

As for Enugu, I didn't really spend much time but I've been there severally though yet to tour the nooks and crannies but based on the reviews, its probably the best rounded city in the SE.

I'm currently in Aba and honestly there's nothing to say about the city other than the fact that it's a rejected and dejected town. I can't even bring out my camera to take pictures because there's nothing to snap. i can't risk my camera getting spoiled by the horrible scenery. It's just pathetic. The town needs a renaissance. All the roads should be constructed from scratch by juliua Berger and roads should also be constructed into the inner streets. An attempt should also be made to beautify the city. As I'm talking to you, there is no beautiful part of Aba. Everywhere just seems rough and unkempt. God save Aba.

Now back to my topic, for those who are frequent visitor of Enugu, Owerri, Aba, Onitaha and Asaba and Uyo. How do these towns compare to each other. I asked a girl who has visited Asaba and she said Asaba is better than Owerri and I was shocked as I always saw Asaba as an upcoming city. I also read a statement somewhere that Uyo has a better infrastructure than the revered Enugu. How true is this? I'll like to compare and contrast the pros and cons of these towns.
Op,go and learn geography......UYO is not a city in the east! it's in the south south!

With the sort of posts and replies I see here, I wonder what the currently proposed Biafra would be like?
Re: How Do Eastern Cities Compare With Each Other? by Nobody: 3:21pm On Dec 02, 2015
South-south Nigeria is a geopolitical creation of Nigeria government, while Eastern Nigerian is a geographic creation. The Op is comparing mostly states in geographic eastern Nigeria, not geopolitical south south Nigeria.

Put in another way, geopolitically, Uyo is in the south south Nigeria, but geographically, Uyo is in the eastern Nigerian.

u lack manners he is right Uyo is not in the east but south-south so what is the insult all about.
