The premiere of TLC's newest show, "Strange Love " featured a woman named LaRue Drummond. She is a single mother who's been growing her nails for 40 years now.
"I hope I find my knight in shining armor. Fingers crossed!" she said on "Strange Love ."
After she and her longtime boyfriend broke up and her four children left the house, she decided to just let them grow. Her longest nail at time of filming was 17 inches long.
It takes a lot for LaRue to take care of her super long nails, with weekly milk baths and $300 a month for six hour long manicures -- so maybe that's why she's forged such a personal connection with them.
"This is Marla. This is Miss Independent. And this is Miss Attitude, and as you can see, she has a serious, serious attitude," said LaRue pointing to different nails.
While it's been tough for LaRue to find love again since growing out her nails, she met Steve during a speed dating event -- and he seemed genuinely interested in her super nails. He even called them "a gift" and admitted he was very attracted to her.
So, of course, Steve and LaRue went out on a date, and it must have gone well, because they are now officially an item.
Not all viewers on Twitter were as enamored with LaRue's nails -- but we're just happy LaRue and Steve found each other.
