Moral corruption is about to kill this country. We lack work ethics, moral values and human values in this part of the world.

Its not about the "Nigerian Police" as most people want us to believe. Some private Security firm workers actually take more bribe than NPF. Our Banks, Private organisations are cases in points. Its only in Nigeria we see security men beg people for money. Its a common practice and we shouldn't institutionalize it. Instead, we need to address the CURSE upon UNIFORM MEN/WOMEN, including those standing at ATM joints, fast food, event centres, banks, etc.

The other day, a well dressed NPF guy was seeing driving a Niger Delta Rastafarian-Charlatan called TIMAYA.

Are we going to say the NPF guy is poorly paid? Is the problem about minimum wage? NOPE!

The higher we are paid as a people, the dumber we become! Just imagine the yeast-like swollen puff-puff called Timaya acting like the world must revolve around him ALL because of SMALL CHANGE.

We need to invite the slave masters all over again! The previous attempt is not enough.
in as much as I agree with you on the decay in our ethics and moral values, but it is perfectly legal to ask for a police escort if and when you feel you need one. it might be based on your status (in this case celebrity), state of mind (maybe you are in danger) or otherwise. and of course there are some financial responsibility attached to it.

She probably feel embarassed considering what she was made to do, and don't say she can/should resist cos we both know human heirachy of need ensures we set out priorities accordingly. A meal usually comes before pride/principle. It's for the authority to see this and make necessary arrangement.

We can simply follow the American model where as the commander in chief, the US president is assigned a Marine who pack his luggage and run simple errand (military culture), and nothing else, the party or the first family is responsible for extra stuffs. I really dont appreciate officers carrying out such duties, they have a strict culture of discipline.
I remember my dad's new posting to Jericho skaters in Ibadan very long time ago during the military are, his office ensures uniform men supply his accommodation with kegs (25ltrs). When we visit on holidays and began using much more water, both our parent ask the container be left downstairs so we lift it up 4 flight of stairs, and as soon as my older brother learned how to drive, we get to do the job. That should be the first lady's security not her maid.
It also depends on the people involved
Some people just like to use power anyhow

I corroborate, though the part of steaming your heat on Timaya is digressional. It was the choice/fault of the officer to drive the car. Timaya, I believe, doesn't even know the law or understand how degrading that pic was. He, as we all know, is barbarous and might have felt a pic of a police officer as his chauffeur would stir a notion of class or glitz amongst his audience/mates/fans
However, I understand the annoyance boiling in u from that previous thread.
Is shameful seeing our men in uniform begging, with appearance like they don't belong to any organization. I marvel at what Nigerian police breeds!!! Men with heavily dirty teeth, deep red eyes, very low IQ, looking so unkept with saliva gleeking out of their alcohol smelling mouths. Very aggressive and animal-like behavioral exhibitions. My last experience with them was an eye-scorcher. I saw how they dealt with an Okada rider with guns and batons over 500 naira while others watched. Gory!!!
On the overall, the pic of the sokoto first lady's porter police is disgraceful and I wish the authority could put a ban to it. Who knows, she might read comments here on NAIRALAND
