This is what a finance minister sounds like not Kemi, who is talking like a college dropout. I guess there is a huge difference between studying at Harvard and studying at Leeds.

Correct! She has the brain but how do you want me to believe a woman who grounded our economy and also lie that the country is not poor but went to borrow money the following month. Besides, she should have initiated this when she was there. Naija! I hail thee.

What are you talking about? Every country borrows money. Even the US. The US owes over $12t dollars. More debt that they can pay. Nobody over there is screaming about the economy being run down. So what exactly is your point.

NOI is the best thing that happened to Nigeria in terms of finance. She helped cleared the debt all your northern oligarchs had accumulated over the years. Gave Nigeria a fresh start. Then she came back to give Nigeria good food security, revamp our industries, help navigate a way to keep the money flowing in, and help stabilize our moribund economy.

NOI is not a magician. She did her best. We've always known Nigeria was poor, but countries like Ghana with an economy the size of a few states in Nigeria still look for foreign investors. So what is your point?

. Because you were ignorant and partly bc that administration did not blow it's trumpet, they never talked about or showcase their work until people began to believe APC's lie that they did nothing in 5years. Some communities near Abuja actually celebrated ONE YEAR OF UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY under that regime using the off-grid solution, Solar eletric. Again, you don't need to believe, Ngozi is not a local champion, she is a WORLD CLASS ECONOMIC MANAGER. She is an INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED ECONOMIST. We said it but you guys preferred to believe propaganda instead of the truth. The economic downturn was not peculiar to Nigeria but a global problem occasioned by the falling prices of crude oil in the international market, you guys said it was GEJ's problem. She used her acumen and expertise to steer the ship of the economy out of imminent austerity but you guys critiscized and villified her. Now the truth is coming out. With all the noise, boasting, promises or rather SELF-DECEPTION APC cannot and does not have anyone to successfully manage the economy at this auspicious time. The dollar will soon hit. N300. The hardship is just beginning. Cheers

Renewable energy, especially solar is the future. And Nigeria has an abundance of solar energy. Government has to draw policy that will encourage both off grid and on grid solar installation. With the right government policy, Nigerians can easily enjoy 24 hours power supply within a year.

How did she ground your economy?

Please between her tenure, the tenure of OBJ, the military Era and the current administration,

Tell me, which one of them was/is better for Nigeria?

Prove to me that your post was not motivated by tribalism, hatred and party name.

Can you even define economy?

What yoy should be asking is what happened to all the money when a barrel of oil was high as 118 usd?

You want angel Buhari.to clear up a mess.of years on 6 months?

She had over 5 years to effect the necessary change she now preached, in relative wealth and she did nothing.

Hypocrisy at it's best . she should STFU

Stupidity is when you think a finance minister has the power to change Sports, power and the fortunes of other ministries.
She was doing her Job. No matter how much you sycophants praise Fashola, he is not going to change anything in Health, Agriculture or Sports.
He has his own field to concentrate on.
Those ministries had their budgets and accounts, handled by ministers from other parts of the country.
Okonjo Iweala was never going to dictate to Minister Kwankwaso on how to run his ministry. Nigeria is a complex nation and only pure Patriots can help it. Unfortunately there are not many of the Patriots in Nigerian politics. If your President can go to the outside world and tell them that he will marginalise some parts of the nation because they gave him 5% vote, don't you think he will even do worse behind the camera?

I still don't know why our leaders will only appoint party members as minister's, adviser's and commissioners.
.this woman to me is more suitable qualified and experienced than BRF and even adeosun... I'm not an IBB fan but according to what I quote from him in his recent interview is that been incompetent isn't usually the problem but been inexperienced but alot of people fail to digest that...you can't get a top(even ordinary jobs such as cleaning jobs, sales job etc)these days without experience so how is BRF,ameachi, that MJ imam qualified as minister's, I mean how is been a governor directly relevant with been a minister, how are u ever gonna do it U're gonna listen to adviser's These same adviser's are inexperienced so in the end we can't get anywhere...

This is the main problem we have now,I mean their are highly qualified and experienced Nigerian engineers, economist, scientist, professor's both home and abroad who our govt just need to test out and see the positive change we are actually looking for..what information can lie Muhammed give to our society... .osho baba couldn't do anything in edo cos he's not the right person for the job...

Imagine ppl like saraki, buruji, Dino even Murray in the Senate,, what are they going to offer Where are our lawyer's

Gbenga ashafa as been there since who knows when yet he's never tired despite that he's doing absolutely nothing...
Sharing okada, sewing machine etc ain't why they're sent their...

Same thing happening on nairaland,, we've inexperienced Mods.. Just say what they don't like and ur comments will be deleted and u will be banned... Imagine justwise banning me since 2 year's from travel section? Imagine this same justwise condemning someone on canadas travel thread despite this person using his time, money and energy to give people free information and even indirectly telling this person to go to hell, what's seen doing to that nothing!!!! Why cos he's also inexperienced cos we the user's are the first customers and without us their is no nairaland...

I guess she just got this insight of solving our power problem last month.
She was here for 2 administrations, working hand in hand with 2 Presidents yet God in his infinite wisdom denied her this insight to solve our problems till now.

Advice is easy to give but hard to take.

everyone in nigeria knows that there is no way she would work for past administration without putting hand in cookie jar.

she should just keep cool for her own interest before we start digging deep... undecided
