Somewhere up, i had to put down a whole lot of financial details for your to get the true picture of my dilemma-this included-incomes etc (Dec 02 7:03am page 29) and you quoted me to respond. Grateful if you could either take it down or modify it.

I am afraid, only the MOD can take it down. I really don't know how it works.

Many thanks FPL for your kind assistance all through this period-really appreciated. By way of update, I made the appointment yesterday and paid for the priority service, by today I got the update that UKVI has received my application. Hoping that a favourable decision is made in time for me to travel on Friday.

Hello Justwise and everyone. My husband submitted his application on friday and he was sent a mail yesterday by UK visas that his application was received; he got a mail again today that a decision has been made. My question is, has anyone experienced this? I'm thinking it's an automatic refusal?

Yes Abuja. He's been refused twice, he just decided to try again.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Aibisoye0: 6:06pm On Dec 08, 2015
If he addressed all the refusal points I'm sure it will be fine. You need to get the package to know the outcome.
Nobody knows the outcome.

Hi guys, my sister applied for a UK visa and got a message saying that a decision had been made last Friday. However, she requested for her documents to be sent by courier and it had been one week now, and she has not received her passport back yet. And she submitted her documents in person at VI. How can she chase this up? Who does she contact? I'm worried that her passport might have been stolen by the courier. Is this a possibility? Why won't they communicate? Argh!

Hey,what's up with ur sister's passports?Have they returned it?

@iblaw

Thanks for the response that my problem is at POE,won't they check n ask why am carrying garri and beans?
iblaw:

Last time i traveled i had plenty of garri, beans, elubo, honey etc in my two luggage. When it was my turn to be checked at MMIA as i placed my luggage on the desk the man just walked away(i guess he was tired),after waiting for some minutes another lady asked if i have been checked and i said no, she just opened my luggage and closed it back and said you can go. I was lucky o grin

No one stopped me at POE for carrying so much foodstuff so if you can escape the officers in MMIA you are good to go but please read what is allowed/quantity. I read on a UK website the quantity of honey etc i am allowed to take.

on all three occasions I've flown to Lagos I have always brought back beans, garri, dried catfish and snails, along with nuff spices...cupboard is stocked here for when hubby comes haha (oh and brought some JediJedi back as a request from one of my Naija friend here in UK hehe grin)

never had any issues and always asked and just honest of what I have lol (flew Virgin all 3 occasions)

I think her question is since she said she will be staying in a hotel and possibly in the application she stated she doesn't know anyone in the UK,won't the food stuff raise suspicion?

@yolemum.

If you filled in your application that you have no friends and families in the UK; then make sure the hotel you're staying or booked is an apartment with kitchenette, otherwise how do you explain at POE where the food will be cooked when you're asked by immigration officers? But if you have friends or families in the UK and you mentioned it in your application that you'll be accommodated by either of them, then you have no problem/fear carrying your food stuffs. It's logical.
