European and American churches don't overly rely on money or tax their members. They don't acquire wealth n but help the needy. Is it that European churches are not heaven bound or Nigerian churches are gateway to heaven?

I can't see anything bad in what he said. When you give, either to the poor or to the expansion of God's kingdom here on earth, you are preparing your own mansion in heaven. However, you can't have access to this mansion if you are not saved. Your salvation is a ticket to entering the kingdom of God. So, if you are a giver without salvation, your investment is going down the drain at the end of the day!

Nothing is wrong with the statement. Bible says "Give and it shall be given back unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over..." Giving can actually lifts a man out of poverty. There are so many instances of people that gave in the bible and were brought out of their penury. The widow of zarephath gave all she had and her lack ended. A small boy gave 5 loaves of bread and two fishes, he went home with 12 baskets. I can also testify to how giving can miraculously transform a man's life.
And as you rightly said also, we need to give also to finance church activities.
